Being American, I never watched this show as a kid. I stumbled upon this accidently last year while looking for something else, and though I'm much much older than the target audience, and have no nostalgic claim to it, I have to say I really enjoyed it! This is my second time watching it through, and might not be my last. I've always loved shows, books, movies, Etc. dealing with people being brought into magical worlds, and that probably won't change.
I love it when the Keepers chant the spell and put the last veeton in place :-) Thanks *so* much for uploading Moosey - you are a star. Awesome series for all us 80s kids!
Finally, Closure! I remember loving this when I was a kid. Looking back on it, this really contributed to my lifelong love of books; they went to a magical world, but the real 'magic' was reading!
This brought back some fond memories, thanks for posting. That caterpillar was a greedy little shit though - it ate everything in sight, sprouted wings and buggered off! Maybe none of the Pelemots learned to read cos they were always wasted on the 'Special Pelemade'. They were about to get the kids to do shots, probably best that they went back to school!
I loved watching this show when I were little in school and I just found it again and still love it and I have to admit I cried just now that it's finished so thanks for uploading this and bringing back those happy memories.👍😊
If I was Scott & Amanda I'd be gutted that I was never going to see Boris again! He's such an awesome Character and they never even got the chance to say goodbye to him properly (Boris & Charn are both my favorites)! Oh well, all good things must come to an end I suppose. I love this show to bits! I could watch this over & over again & I'd never, ever get bored of it. If there ever was living proof of what kids TV SHOULD be like ths is it. Thanks for Uploading all the Episodes. :D
marvellous. :) i watched at least some of this at school when i was about seven (when it would have been new, it appears) but my memories were patchy; the story has definitely stood the test of time, production values notwithstanding. it's great to have been able to see the whole story, and to enjoy Brian Aldridge from The Archers being a moaning (but ultimately heroic) mouse. :) thank you so very much for uploading the series. :)
justin lee colins should do bring back the cast of through the dragons eye!!! loved this programme, used to watch it in primary school but i never got to see the ending its been bugging me ever since!!.... ime now 26!! lol
Thank you so much Moosey - brought back so many memories. I remember being obsessed with this. They would show it on alternate years so I saw it a few times. I think I got my mum to tape it when I was at school! I still remember so many details it's amazing, like the kids getting the small Veetons at the end. I'm a 27 yo man now but this brought a tear to my eye at the end and I'm not ashamed! What a show.
Gosh, I loved this show so much! First watched it year 3! I remember at break - or "play-time" back then - me and my friends would play this! I was always Boris because he was my favourite! A million Thanks for uploading this! :-)
this brings back memories i haven't seen this for years we used to have to watch this at primary school i loved it, must be atleast 15 years since i've seen it
@chibirosa Don't worry, he later left Pelamar and went on to become Mayor of London. He doesn't look quite so cute now, and clearly has been on the "special pelamaid" too much. Charn also went to London and took over leadership of the Tory party and is now Prime Minister.
The only thing I could remember for years was the theme song, and now I've seen it all again. Ah, memories. This was the best bit of Primary school, this and another program about some Alien sent to Earth to find some mini comet or something. Got to find out what that was next.
For some reason, I remembered/expected a reappearance from Charn. Oh well, still cool. They should not only do a big budget blockbuster movie of this, they also need to do a sequel. True... it might be a tad late for a sequel... but the movie NEEDS to be made by Peter Jackson - NOW.
There is one thing about this series that does puzzle me a bit. No one is credited as being the director in any of the episodes. There obviously had to be one but I don't understand why whoever did it wasn't credited as the role of the director is one of the most crucial. I've checked on the series' IMDB page and, even there, no one is listed as having that role. Curious.
Personally I think that they should make another series where palmar is in trouble and Scott, Jenny and Amanda need to save it again but as grown ups or maybe if they have kids it would be their turn
God this brings back memories from when i was about 8 lol. My whole school had to watch it all day in the hall because they couldn't be bothered to teach us :L
One thing they needed to tie up at the end was that the Keepers can read now and can therefore understand the Book of the Veetacore. Right at the beginning Gorwen says that the Book of the Veetacore (covered in cobwebs) relates how to care for the Veetacore, but the keepers cannot read it. In the scene in the pool we see Doris polishing the Veetacore rather vigorously and Boris practising his cricket skills right next to it, the implication being that they damaged it in some way and caused it to explode. The whole mission of the programme was literacy - the Keepers are now literate and can learn how to look after the Veetacore. It seems odd they missed this message. Perhaps it was edited out due to time constraints.
The ending. They found they had three Veetons back with them. So Pelimar dies now because three Veetons have been taken away? The Veetacore not complete now?
No because the book stated how many veetons made up the Veetacore and all of them were accounted for when the Keepers did the final incantation and put in the last veeton. Also none of the veetons in the Veetacore were that small.
FUCK ME, THAT WAS GOOD - much love for the upload. This was the personality shaper for my childhood into adulthood. Much better than the moronic stuff they show now. There's no adventure, or epic journeys anymore. Just technological and futuristic braindead nonsense.
Consider yourself lucky, watched it in Primary School year 3 and didn't let us watch past episode 3. It became my weekly fix! Now i'm 23 and i'm gonna sit and watch them all back to back tomorrow. North or South, East or West, it's sad... A 23 year old watching this, it's bad... Look bravely at my fucking girlfriend she's like WTF
what would it cost to make this? - backdrops, £80 - props, £3 - actors, negligible - lighting, £300 all shows should have their budget capped at £700! damn you for uploading these, little moosey.
I love it. all that effort to find the veetons and save Pelamar, and then right at the end they've fucking nicked some of them to take back to school with them! oh well I suppose you'd get a few quid for them on ebay!
Because like everything else in Pelamar he is fading and dying. The other Keepers are paler too. Notice how they are all brighter and back to normal when the Veetacore starts to work again at the end. At 4:17 Scott says “You’re orange again, Boris!”

at 4:16 they repower the veetacore and jump around and say we done it. Jenny says your orange again Boris and Doris is also purple again. it was becasue they where in a fade zone.

After moving schools in 1992 I got to the episode where they ended on the mountain. I was gutted when I moved! I finally finished it 25 years later!!!
I love it when the Keepers chant the spell and put the last veeton in place :-)
Thanks *so* much for uploading Moosey - you are a star.
Awesome series for all us 80s kids!
"WE'VE DONE IT!!!!"
I bet every kid watching this felt the energy in that room!
Still sad that it all had to come to an end!

Replying after 14 years lol, this show is amazing
I watched this for school when I was very young - memories!! Still the creepiest thing ever!
Watched all in a row :) thanks for uploading! :)
If been waiting for this closure for 30 years.
Oh my god! I used to watch this at school!
That and Geordie Racer
Frug looks more like a dragonfly than a butterfly.
Skatebat! Perhaps the most incredible application for Boris' magical sporting utensil yet!
All that work those kids went through, for what? A glass of PELAMADE!
I saw this when i was 7 years old back in 1989, it was classic stuff then and still is now :)
justin lee colins should do bring back the cast of through the dragons eye!!! loved this programme, used to watch it in primary school but i never got to see the ending its been bugging me ever since!!.... ime now 26!! lol

I want those miniature veetons.
The nostalgia is unbearable!!!

Gosh, I loved this show so much! First watched it year 3! I remember at break - or "play-time" back then - me and my friends would play this! I was always Boris because he was my favourite! A million Thanks for uploading this! :-)
Watched this 20 years ago! Still a classic
OMG thanks so much for this!
I was ill on the day we watched the last one at school...
12 years later I know how it ends :D
this brings back memories i haven't seen this for years we used to have to watch this at primary school i loved it, must be atleast 15 years since i've seen it
Cheers for this made my day. I remember watching this in school. Now back to my dissertation...
Typically British understated ending to an absolute masterpiece, that was awesome, compelling viewing, we should integrate Pelamar back into Britain!
Woohoo!!!! You're orange again Boris! :D
Hehe love that funky music Frug flies to!
Ah memories, thanks for posting TTDE, it was nice seeing it again after 15 years. moosey, you a legend!
So good to watch that through again after all this time. Thank you again for uploading this :)
I watched this when I was in primary school but we never saw past episode 7.
Now 23 years later I get to finish the story :)
Thanks moosey for posting these :)
me and my friends reminisced for a whole day!
I love frug, and he becomes a sweet butterfly! Outstanding!

This and Geordie Racer were my education....

@chibirosa Don't worry, he later left Pelamar and went on to become Mayor of London. He doesn't look quite so cute now, and clearly has been on the "special pelamaid" too much. Charn also went to London and took over leadership of the Tory party and is now Prime Minister.

oi thanks for posting all the episodes moosey!
Love the music at the end.
first time i watched this in about 15 years! and we never did finish it at school i swear some of the tapes were missing!

that would be pretty awesomr

"Butterflies are the same on both sides!" didn't look like it... ah well still awesome!!! :D
So I'm guessing Pelamar was destroyed after all, what with those kids stealing the Veetons. "The End" was probably a cry for help, not a happy banner.
Quick trivia...Gorwen originally auditioned for the role of Drogon on GoT but had to pull out due to other work commitments
there make up looks pretty refreshed in this bit
I watched half of it at school.XD xxx
i love this viedeo
I like them all
What about the crack in the wall? Has that just fixed itself?
KEWL
I REMEMBER WEN I WATCHED
It’s kinda like “the chronicles of narnia”
After all that - they get some dodgy lemonade? I'd be vexed! Give them a pint! They worked harder than I do in a week and I get wasted!
FUCK ME, THAT WAS GOOD - much love for the upload. This was the personality shaper for my childhood into adulthood. Much better than the moronic stuff they show now. There's no adventure, or epic journeys anymore. Just technological and futuristic braindead nonsense.
That repulsive bug does nothing but eat!
Lol, I don't feel so bad watching it at college age now :P
Definately. A 2-part children's movie.
totally agree- as well as being awesome and fun, there was a lot of spelling that i dont remember- sneaky bbc learning haha! cheerss for posting!
@powerpoint952 The show with the line "It's all disintergrating" is called the Legend of the Lost Keys.
I remember that Alien one too I been looing for ages if any one know what it ws
what would it cost to make this?
- backdrops, £80
- props, £3

- lighting, £300
all shows should have their budget capped at £700!
damn you for uploading these, little moosey.
I love it. all that effort to find the veetons and save Pelamar, and then right at the end they've fucking nicked some of them to take back to school with them! oh well I suppose you'd get a few quid for them on ebay!
year 2 for me aswell! looool
Ahh, smashing. Just sat through the entire series in one sitting. Not a bad way for a 21-year-old student to spend a Saturday night, right...? :P
Very sad
why did they get the skateboard out at the end? They might as well of arrived right outside the house. That scene needn't of existed!
God, I loved this when I was a kid - it was the bes t show ever.
Looks sooo tacky now though!
That has to be the ugliest butterfly,Ever.
this is amazingly awful. I love it
And Doris'? Oh, it came back...
GG
Same here
The ending is slightly underwhelming; who'd want to go back to school after a epic hour of adventuring?
Um, what happened to Boris' makeup?
Because like everything else in Pelamar he is fading and dying. The other Keepers are paler too. Notice how they are all brighter and back to normal when the Veetacore starts to work again at the end. At 4:17 Scott says “You’re orange again, Boris!”
same here XD XD
Gerwen,Jenny,Amnder and Scott Boris Morris Doris and chain love outfits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why is boris a different colour?
Because like everything else in Pelamar he is fading and dying. The other Keepers are paler too. Notice how they are all brighter and back to normal when the Veetacore starts to work again at the end. One of the children says “You’re orange again, Boris!”
1;32 Doris isn't purple either
Holy shit you're right! How did everyone miss that!?
It's because the land is dying and everyone is beginning to fade. Boris and Morris are lighter coloured too.
I watched all of the episodes art school
I watch this at school
1:15 why does boris have normak coloured skin?
Because like everything else in Pelamar he is fading and dying. The other Keepers are paler too. Notice how they are all brighter and back to normal when the Veetacore starts to work again at the end. 4:17 Scott says “You’re orange again, Boris!”
fUck uP bbc wheres my sequel????????

They were the Keepers
GET THE 100% PROOF PELAMADE
CruelestChris
@ChrisCooper312
XD Best comment in the history of RUclips.
1:14 Boris turned Caucasian he's not orange
at 4:16 they repower the veetacore and jump around and say we done it. Jenny says your orange again Boris and Doris is also purple again. it was becasue they where in a fade zone.
@17Jamie17
Eaten by BASTARDING CATERPILLARS!!! The twats!!
