DOPE!!!! Never seen this before, but these brothers are legends no question..Kid Creole hold your head my brother, hope your situation has a positive ending....
I don't believe this exists !! One of the earliest concerts of the GMF & F5 ??????? WOOOOOOWWW!!!!!!!! THIS IS WHOLY FOOTAGE !! The first rhymes, the first scratches, the first dancemoves from the creators themselfs !! This is a piece of Bible !!!! Respect !! Loved the bad PA-sound of the late seventies !!
Had this song in my head for a week and it occurred to me that I’d never actually seen Larry. Found him! Amazing footage overall though and it’s incredible to know how current dancers took what Larry & his generation started to a whole new level.
This isn't the Furious Five. GMF &the FF parted ways and 2 members of the FF stayed with Flash, the others were in the group Grandmaster Melle Mel & the Furious Five.
Larry is definitely family, my sister Debra was so proud of him when he got with grandmaster flash. She bragged about him to anybody who would listen, rest in paradise dede I miss you so much. You’re with Larry’s mom now, give her a hug from us❤️❤️🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing -- Larrry's moves were craaaazy. I am sorry for your loss. Is Larry still with us? If so, we would love to see him on video talking about his experiences.
History right here you have to been living in this era salute to Grandmaster Flash & Furious 5 & Melle Mel, Larry love!! Brooklyn Manhattan Queens Boogie Down Bronx Staten Island Connecticut & Jersey!!! 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Excellent footage and to think we would only tape the concerts in audio, if we only knew back then how far this would go...props ! This post don't have enough likes smdh
The second part of this video with kid creole, Raheem getting busy on the mic and flash cutting shit up. Brings back so many memories of growing up in NYC and going to park jams. That good times beat djs at any jam you went too in NYC at that time was cutting and looping that beat over and over with the MCs freestyling over it. And the B Boys getting busy.. late 70s early to mid 80s what a great time to live in NY.. And see this culture grow organically in my city. And by me and the youth of my city. And generation.. WE WERE ALL PART OF HISTORY..
Damn I remember when that was a hit back in those days I was a kids around12 all the car n house pumping that music word up every were I go rocking that Larry love good old days miss those days b boys
WTF was Flash doing with a mixer that huge between the turntables???? It looks like to would take 60 seconds just to walk from one turntable to cue up the record on the other one!!!
Looks like a GLI and fyi Thats old school style we used to build our own mixer cabinets and put our names on them much like they do with the LAPTOPS nowaday
I hope this recording is well archived somewhere, this is a part of Hip Hop history....screw corporate amerikka and what they did to Hip Hop using starving kids that later became west coast rappers, this is when it was still genuine. Did this take place somewhere on Fordham Rd? Ask someone in California if they have a clue about where Fordham Road even is.
Larry ain’t dead, he’s pastor Larry Parker. That’s family, he was just in Harlem for his brothers birthday. Put on some weight but still got moves😂👏🏾👏🏾
@@stevemichaels9852Larry Parker is his real name? I have a father in law who's real name is Larry Love and he's asked all the time is that your real name I told him about the electric GMF boogie dancer Larry Love and that the name sounds more stage/hood then a real name.
I was in the 6th , 7th grade in The Bronx 1980s... 233rd and white plains rd ( the teenagers would blast this on the #2 train with their boombox - last car )
Larry was dope we all hung out in Harlem world but supreme was another dope pop locker besides ME AND MY BROTHER
I have never seen you there umm I don't think you ever came to the Disco fever 🤔

This footage is from 1985 at the earliest.
@@Yourfood1993 They were performing long before this footage in 1985
@@HypnoticHollywood we know that, however the Larry’s Dance Theme tune didn’t come out till 1985. That’s why that puts this performance in 1985.😎😎👍🏾👍🏾

Fresh Fest 1985 ?
I don’t think this was fresh fest 85. The venue looks small. Then again I’m thinking of the fresh fest they did in Nassau coliseum in New York.
Who cares?
