Hey all, lots of really awesome comments! Thanks. I’m definitely looking for more experienced friends to loot with! Reply to this message if you would like to squad up.
Got the game 2 and half year ago and since then I have almost 8oo hours on it and I can confidently say that its my top 5 favorite game. Its slow/intense fights to graphics and mechanics just made me feel like no other game. I love that you like the game and wish you the best experiances with it. Next time you play the burning guys (not the big one) you have to kill them with blunt dmg (gun-stock, baseball bat, hammer) if you shoot/slash/stab them then they explode. GL HF.
My favorite game for a long time! It is interesting to see how it feels for a new player.... I almost forgot my struggles, but I also started with experienced friends, which also helped a lot. Wish you much fun with Hunt - my friends and I for sure have it!
you had the fire mini boss half-dead, as a solo, on your first encounter with him, moved pretty well dodging most of his shots - pretty good :) pretty tough luck
I do also have a love hate relarelationship with this game. But to the shallow people who drop it, no one cares. People complaining about the gun play just dont know how to play. Too much call of duty
Played this from launch day up until about a year ago pretty regularly. When people I knew started falling off, I just quit because I had no one to play with. Probably one of my favorite games of the last 5 years.
14:02 uhh, the sound of a window shutter getting opened to your right, - only players open windows ;) (that clue is also red - you'll get used to the sounds) 14:25 window shutter getting closed again, right below you
I love it me and my brother play often. I’ve tried to get 5 other people on that play apex and cod and they said it’s the hard camping and the stalemates. They love the guns but the people don’t know how to have fun put a massive damper on it
@@edwardlane5637 the thing I like is that you don’t necessarily have to be really mechanically good to be good at this game, It also rewards people who are. I say this as someone who started out as someone who is mechanically gifted with really good aim and had shifted over to an older player that has to think a little more since my reaction time has gotten worse over time.
Use consumables if they really will not move, or slowly take better and better positions until they are forced to move. High MMR players rarely camp for long because it is easy to beat that once you understand the how.
@@CiCreePi0 I just don't like how a lot of long time players review bombed a great game as a lot of new players were thinking about picking it up. The UI is bad but is that a reason to try to kill the game?
@@edwardlane5637 Without review bombing crytek won't lift a finger to change anything, because crytek are notorious for not fixing bad things/bugs for years but adding or changing things that didn't need changing Like the rarity of skins that makes no sense, or changing the title screen “You live to die another day” to “Solid victory”. Don't they have anything better to do? It is indeed a minor change but it just shows they priorities. Crytek like to change something for the sake of change without any real reason.
@@edwardlane5637 And it is not just UI but they attitude towards players. They showcased the UI before releasing it. Everyone hated it and still they released it not giving a damn about player opinions.
Exactly my point. Hate when shallow pillow biters play for 30 mins and rage quit then give the game a ton of shit. I have over 1.5 k hours and all the complaints I’ve mostly seen are skill issue. I’m glad they ain’t playing my game tho. Go back to your Fortnite and cod
imaging you are running on the road happily ,appreciating the beautiful scenery and searching for clues, suddenly a guy jumps out from the grass and killed you with a crossbow, for average FPS players who have been used to shoot&running in COD/APEX,camper is intolerated and annoying
Trades, terrible servers, absolute lack of balance, dubious devs decisions and additions, bugs that exist in the game for years, RNG , the game is not competitive.
Trades are a problem yes. Servers are fine for me and many others (the stuttering is a separate issue). This game is not lacking balance in the conventional sense, a frontier 73c is meant to be weaker than a Krag but you can still easily kill the Krag player if you play to your weapons strengths after you collect information on your opponent. You'll have to be more specific with the "dubious" comment. Can't deny bugs like the razor wire hitting you through floor. RNG is only a thing if you hip-fire. Collect the information first: your death is almost always down to your mistakes.
@@edwardlane5637 I'm not talking about "you can kill with a silenced nagant a mosin player", I'm talking about - you can buy some dumb loadout such as concertina/frag arrows and just throw it in direction of a player and kill him without direct hit. Or you can just sitting in the bushes camping and do low iq melee rush an have some easy kills. This is not balanced in any way. OR you just can throw a spear a tow of a player and one shot him.
@@CiCreePi0 Most of this is avoidable with good movement. I recommend leaning things such as the shoulder peak to deal with one shot kill weapons, as most of them have very slow muzzle velocities making them easy to dodge. Bush campers do have counter play, most of them set up around boss arena so approach carefully picking lines of approach that are unpredictable or have plenty of cover for you with less bushes. Low IQ rush is something I don't like but this is because it is too easy to deal with that it leads to anticlimactic ends to fights - make them come round a corner, then have good crosshair placement and pull the trigger when they run into it. I hope all this helps and that I was able to convey how I counter these things.
The game is not competitive in my opinion either. It is fun and unique though. People take this game too seriously, that's my main problem with it in general. Too many coward sweats acting like their actual life is on the line. I literally had someone camping a boss, not killing it until there was barely time to leave the game. He was willing to wait the entire match for freebies. I was stubborn about it and waited for them to try and leave and I mopped him but it gets boring fast dealing with players like that.
@@rabbyd542 Not competitive, but not casual either - like it is not a quite a tactical shooter, but certainly can't be called an arcade shooter. This game does reward a competitive mindset as long as it isn't taken to far. I do have to ask what you were doing that whole time though. It took me ages to realize that I was half to blame for those situations. Reposition a few times, if that doesn't work try sacrificing one of your advantages (like your strong positioning or your optimal range), if this fails - disengage then re-engage after like 2 mins. If they still haven't moved then they suck and you can probably get away with a stupid push, but if you don't want to loose your hunter, extract and go next. The player you described may very well have been a camper, all I'm saying is don't fall into the trap I and many others have of being that player who sits waiting for the opponent to move first, while the opponent is thinking and doing the exact same thing.
I don't play because its honestly boring. Spending 30 mins in a match to have a 2-5m firefight with constant anxiety is much less fun for me than fishing in RDR2 for 3 hours straight. Needs more gamemodes. Ive been begging God to bring to life a PVE game that has 1/1000000th of the satisfaction I get from shooting any of the guns in this game.
Half of my Match consists of Gunfights. It’s your choice if you want pve or pvp. Every crow-cow/horse/ducks activated reveals the position of another player. It’s up to you if you hunt him or let him go. You can hear the soundtraps on 3/4 f the map.
I stopped playing about a year ago when they really started pushing battle passes and cosmetics through that. Reminded me of apex and cod, not a fan of that. Had just upwards of 1300 hours
It's a really hard game which weeds out a lot of people right off the bat. It's kind of random too, getting head shot by someone 70m away hiding in a bush that is covering 99% of their body is frustrating. Having a headset is a must as well which not everyone has or wants to use. Now Rainbow Six Siege is similar in a sense that it is hard and you need a headset but there is less randomness. The difficulty and randomness are what is going to keep this game's population down. I love the game and think it is probably the best extraction shooter in current time it's ok that it's not everyone's cup of tea.
@@edwardlane5637 Bruh some guy waiting in a bush with long ammo for 10min without making a single noise until he headshots you is random and there is nothing you can do save for check every bush and even if you start doing that you will STILL get headshot from some other bush you haven't checked yet. Sometimes there is NO info to go off of. The game has randomness. You are not convincing me otherwise.
@@raygunner6656 I have only ever found someone in a truly random bush once, and I still killed him cause I heard him ADS and the only player who would play like that is going to be bad in a fight. First I will address an ambush from a bush, players spawn at the edges of the map usually move towards the nearest OBJ(Boss) - so you can predict where someone who would have gotten to the objective before you would sit because they are always going to sit along your direct route to OBJ. Avoid the direct route as much as possible. Players choose which bush they hide in for a reason, the thicker bushed, the ones near cover ect. If players go silent in a fight, 9 out of ten times they are exactly like you and are thinking "I wish he would move a little", so make some noise, change position - do something and they will too. If they truly are a rat and they do not hold OBJ, leave the area, you can kill them later when they are forced to make a move as you hold OBJ. If they hold OBJ, use darksight to pinpoint their position with the lightning. Finally a "not going to convince me otherwise" is not a good mindset to have - it helps no-one, least of all you, you need to be more open minded if you want to improve at a game or anything you do on a regular basis. And don't be so quick to chalk things up to luck of the draw.
@@edwardlane5637 You know what, maybe this game isn't for me. Playing hide and go seek with guns that can one shot you isn't the most fun IMO. Maybe that is why this game doesn't have a big player base.
