ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS screen shot ur pix or take extra pix with ur phone camera. Bc if the app doesn't let u confirm the order the pix are lost AND THEY WILL NOT PAY U IF U DON'T HAVE BOTH PICTURES! THEY WILL NOT PAY U! I just screen shot after I take the pic in the app. That's the easiest way ib have found bcb if the app don't accept it ur gonna have to send screen shots to PP and had to be screen shots regular pix are to large
I downloaded this about 2 years ago and it was unheard of. The u.i has been upgraded significantly since then. Also in my market there are very few close orders, but the order offer amounts have gone from 7 to 10 on average up to 11 to 18. Worth a look in my opinion
When doordash and walmart separated, the walmart like 20 mins north basically took over the point pickup. The jewel osco orders are slim to none. It used to be some $10-$15 orders generally, very short miles, and then some bangers, $25-$33 is the highest. I like the confirmation generally, it didnt usually have the signature, ive never done that. But i usually snap the groceries and then on the way back to the car or in the car, i snap the house pic with the address included/groceries showing.
The only problem I have with point pick up is u don't know what ur picking up at certain places. For example walmart pick ups u don't know. I went to pick up at walmart and it was a huge tv and would not fit. Pay is good just need more info on items picking up
PPU is a fun job when Walmart decides to acknowledge you. I've done it for yrs off and on and when you arrive you have to put what bay you are in. I've been told numerous times Walmart didn't know I was there. Picking up the items is the most frustrating thing about the job. Other than that it's fast and easy.
I looked at the app and it has a tremendous amount of 1 star reviews about support and getting paid. Id like to see you do a few more of these to see what happens. Seems like you had no issues though.
The one star reviews are usually firbthe same reason that id I'd give 1 star and that's because of the distance to make the initial pick ups are typically too far the pay offered especially when you haven't even considered the mileage left to to complete the delivery after pick up NOT EVEN Including THE RETURN HOME AT AL!!! 😀
It's suddenly finally got alot more local closer pick up opportunities recently since partnering with the local parts store like ADVANCE AUTO PARTS but UNFORTUNATELY, some way shape form or fashion that it was acceptable to somehow TRIM the already THINLY Spreaded CHEESE to literally nothing 😅....It's Spread so damn thin now that you gotta hold your bread up to the light at a certain angle to even see that there's a slight glare of YELLOW even reflecting off the bread 🍞 resembling what could be 🧀...Thats how bad the 💰 thinned out on the local gig 🏃♂️
You are correct, sometimes they don't pay. They owe my husband over 145.00 from months ago. They don't respond emails, you can't ever talk to a live person. We've been doing this almost 3yrs now. They're very difficult and extremely rude when you make a mistake. I had a guy absolutely berate and belittle me just today. There was no reason for him to be so mean. Then they wouldn't let me cash out for the day. This is all over Facebook that people are treated horribly and not getting paid. This in Texas. I wish I could find out who to make a complaint.
Glad to help Stephen, I'm always looking for new gigs/platforms especially as there may be underground opportunities and/or good bonus pay for new markets
I haven't done Point Pickup in over a year (the last time I had a bad experience, not from PP themselves, but it was because the starter on my car broke and I could only complete half the deliveries and return the other half.) But when I did it here in the DC area all the deliveries were from Wal-Mart. I didn't have to do any signature confirmation but I did have to take pictures of both the package and the building, which I had no problem doing since I always took pictures of my deliveries to clear my name.) The only other main source of deliveries from Point Pickup in this area that I've seen come from Lasership, but they always had insanely bad offers, such as getting only $2 for a total of 50 miles. Since then I moved away from Point Pickup and more towards Uber Eats and Grubhub. Though on a side note, even though I am taking today off from my routes, I checked Point Pickup again, but it shows no offers in this area. I'm guessing Wal-Mart Spark has taken over all the WM PP deliveries, and I didn't see anything from Lasership.
The delivery aspect is decent, but support is miserable. I’ve had completed deliveries disappear, and had to pester support to restore them, only to then have to contact support multiple times when they attempted to delay my scheduled weekly payment day another week! I loudly complained and they manually paid me after stating their automated payment system had technical issues I suggest to stay clear.
Veteran move: If the person answers the phone, that's a good sign that they'll be quick. If they don't answer, it's a crapshoot. If you try to call the customer at night, the phone doesn't work. Customer service is atrocious.
I have done point pick up for 2 years its depend on your market it was really good before Walmart came up with spark still good but not as good as before
Point Pickup is terrible in my area, my market. Once in a blue moon, I will get a great order. One Safeway I like to go to cause you go behind the Safeway to a garage and that's where you would pickup for Point Pickup and DoorDash so I don't mind doing that one Safeway for less payout.
I always keep an eye on it. Found a $23 pick up for 4 miles. It was a GM for a TV. Easy money. The app was a pain loading the picture. Payday is March 1. I only did one previously it was smooth.
I did my first delivery 2 years ago and it was a nightmare the app was full of glitches so i decided not to do it again. however a week ago i decided to give it another chance to this app. oh boy if thing were bad the first time this time it was so much worst. drivers support sucks. the app keeps having issues, also in order to complete delivery you have to do too many steps and too many pictures and a lot of double scanning. and pay rates are ridiculous low.
My area is the same way. A few Safeway pick ups pop in. I'm in AZ and the good orders are few and far between. I've been on for 2 months and haven't accepted anything. 😕
I don't think you thought about this very much before posting it. I've never heard of Giant Eagle or point pick up. I'm guessing from your video that Giant Eagle might be a grocery store but I have never heard of it before this video.

Don’t drive for this app! They would text me asking me to pick up multiple deliveries. Then, a Walmart associate wrote them a letter saying I was abusing the system they dropped me. When I presented their text messages and video of the date in question (dash cam) they started ignoring me. I don’t care because I run a legitimate delivery service and my customers who use me on a regular basis are great. However, PPU came off as shady when I asked them to verify with the associate that they were actually the ones giving me multiple deliveries.
I been with point pickup for years but recently I had words with a worker at Walmart cause they was canceling my orders. They called point pickup and immediately my point pickup account was blocked
To avoid further issues I would before initiating contact with the customer take the photo then proceed to interact with the customer but if the customer is already there I would let them know that there is a two step photo verification so they are not thinking you're a creep by photographing the building because people nowadays tend to overreact and then you end up on a video because you were filmed by customer looking like a creepy cow

First RUclipsr with his mic 🎤 in the car 😆
I only do point p/u on slow days. It's more lucrative to do catering or hauling when they pop up and Uber Eats and Doordash at peak times.
Good luck. I'm part of a Point Pickup group where drivers complain of not getting paid.
That's the second comment I've seen mentioning this issue, I'll put something on our community tab once the pay clears etc

Not all of the time. If they take the order inside while you're offloading, just select "Handed to customer.
I'm on the wait list as of today.

We have to scan every single package and Wal-Mart NEVER puts the correct scan tags! Why didnt you have to scan anything?
They do not have a customer support number to call when u have a question, you have to do it by text
