Hasn't cropped up much for wonderkids but the "I'll let you go for this price being met" has worked well for me in FM22, even with the opening price offer being above what I'd be prepared to sell for. Pair that with adding to transfer list, teams never seem to offer the price and the player eventually backs down
I had one of these in a 2021 save, an austrian wonderkid striker who joined my club at the age of 16 (19m), and when he hit 20 he scored 42 goals in the league, 60 in total. LOVED That kid. But then he made a ruckus and wanted to leave, sold him for 127m to Man Utd. In the 18 seasons he played at Atalanta and Utd, the last two seasons at Utd he had less than a 7.00 average rating, once (last year) played less than 27 matches in the league season. His first year (aged 16/17) played 33 matches scored 22 goals. Highest average rating of 7.79 (the 42 goal season). When he was 15 at FK Austria Vienna he played 27 matches, 15 goals, av rating 7.13 . He never was the best striker in the world, but he was so freaking excellent, he was one of the favourite players I ever had. Ended his career with 132 caps for Austria and 94 goals. Lennart Ertl.
My best wonderkid on FM22 came from Man City’s squad. He wanted out because in 1.5 seasons he only played 4 times. He was trying to get a starting spot over Haaland and I believe Adeyemi. I bought him for 70 mil at the age of 18 and from 19-23 he won the Ballon Dor all those years, and every single award imaginable.
Weirdly I have avery similar story. Signed a 19 year old from man city for 100 million who was unsettled due to not playing. But he was scoring practically a goal per game for the French national team (15 goals in 17 I think) after 2 years he looked like a right flop, playing about 20 tines and only scoring 6, but then he randomly hit form and scored 30+ goals winning the Ballondor and the European golden Boot. He's now 26, has won 5 Ballindors in a row, has won the premier league holden boot 5 times in a row and has just scored 46 from 34 in the Premier league and 81 from 60 in all competitions in a single season. Olivier Galle you fucking legend. Not to mention he also helped me to 4 premier league titles and 3 champions league titles in the space space 5 years with carlisle united and is my captain - he's one of those special players who can literally deal with anything, I never talk to players anymore because he talks to them and they back down instantly.
If a wonderkid is asking for a release clause and you are not able to remove it, let him have it. After a successful contract extension, the player will stay during the recent transfer window. Repeat this step at every transfer window and the player will always stay at your club. This way I was able to keep a wonderkid at my club (2. Bundesliga) for 3 years straight, after that (and a couple of successful seasons) I could finally remove the release clause during contract negotiations.

@@daviebananas1735 yeah I know but signing him has nothing to do with great scouting or eye for talent so to speak. You just know he will become one of the greatest players. Looking up actual Wonderkids is not scouting.
@@PESandNHL There isn't something as "great scouting or eye for talent". You don't actually watch the players play and evaluate their talent. You just look at attributes and stars and make your decisions from there. It isn't quantum physics, it's actually pretty easy. People play the game however they want to play. Some people love buying up all the newgens then selling them and becoming the next PSG just by using the wonderkid oil. Some people like to play the regular teams with real life players and updated squads - that's really why you would buy a new game, if you just have a hard-on on wonderkids and tier 10 football, then new games change almost nothing for you. Some people do both and have fun. Just because you enjoy playing the game your way, doesn't mean other people don't play the game differently - that's the beauty of sandbox of football manager. Also, I've played 20 seasons once and Mbappe and Haaland were the best players (getting the golden ball or however its called) until they got too old, then some random striker with 180 PA became the best player in the world. The game just didn't spawn those truly amazing Messi/Ronaldo type regens. Some people on the other hand have a full squad of 200PA players. Moukoko might just be the best player for 20 years in some saves.
@@TrykusMykus Yeah in every single game it's Mbappe, Haaland winning all the awards until Moukoko takes over or maybe some random regen. But for me these real life wonderkids just don't count as wonderkids per se i've found just because i can just look them up on the internet. If i find a regen 180PA+, that's on me and nobody else can find this one. The wonderkids in my save are original, as are yours and everyone elses. That's whats so great about FM. I'll call this scouting or eye for talent. Sure i'll just look at their attributes. So not my point (knowing that moukoko is a great wonderkid) just making a joke about people playing not enough FM. I'm an FM addict and just get really far in some saves. I'll even use Daveincid his mods to make the regens spawn weaker for more realism. I've seen all those players online or even guys which their 200PA farm but let's be honest here... that's just cheated and not possible in a normal game. So stop making more out of this than it is.
@@PESandNHL The randomness in games allows for some players to have more 200PA regens and some to have none. That's not cheating lmao. And as I said, you enjoy playing the game that way and you can find another person who will complete 10 different saves and have fun. One way of playing is not better than the other, you have fun with mods, others prefer vanilla, why does that bother you?
A slight variation on this approach: I had a look at the youth teams of Argentina’s first division clubs and found a 15 year old defender who was already playing for Velez Sarsfield’s senior team. Scouting reports indicated high potential so paid six million for him and waited the two years for him to arrive. By the time he arrived he had played 100 senior games and was considered a wonderkid; he’s slotted right into my defence and shortly after won his first senior caps for Argentina. He’s an absolute gun already and he’ll get a lot better.
Found similar spanish midfield player like at 15-16 yo, with crazy attributes like most of them 15-16, he was playing full matches at 16yo in my ligue 1 team, later he was sold for around 200+ mil at 23 yo.
I find it easier to sift through bad reports by heading to the scouting screen and the clicking the list option. That way you can select players en masse and clear the reports quickly
The best / cheekiest way to never have a release clause is: when you make the first offer, immediately exclude it so they can't come back with an offer that does include it.
They can, but often don't. And I think it's more realistic than this clownshow 4 yr plus 3 yr option contract nonsense that no one would ever agree to in the real world.
@@patpat8727 Pretty sure the reason he's still at Tottenham was due to a 6/7 year contract he signed a while back. Also you'd be surprised at the stuff that is included in contracts; I think tifo did a video explaining all the various clauses that get included.
Coruna is the club I’m with in my journey save. We are in CL after coming second my best player was a Serbian regem haaland. Same build, fast and strong on the ball. I got for 5 mil and now he’s worth 60mil+ his name is Dragan bogdanovic
If it looks like a big club is going to match the release clause of a wonder kid and you can't get them to sign a new contract I usually try sell them for less than the release clause but then always have something like a clause where we receive 50% of the profit made on the next sale. This at least gives you a better chance of making more money off them.
Zealand you want to change the view you are using when going through youth squads en masse. I like to add scouting knowledge level / ability / potential to the columns. That way you can easily see who has been scouted already, and sometimes it even reminds you to go back and re-scout some players if you didn't add them to any shortlists at the last run through.
He Zealand, great video helping me allot after not playing for a couple of years started playing again. Got a question tho, I started with Twente not a lot of money so a bit of a challenge currently I'm scouting in country's like Iraq, Iran, Indonesia that kind of countries, cheap but good players, can you recommend any more of the lesser football countries to scout. Thanks a lot and keep going, loving the videos
I use a similar method however I don't wait until there are Youth tournaments but wait for an international break then go through squads of youth international teams. I started to use this method (Vis-a-vis wiring the world) as I saw Second Yellow Card having great success finding wonderkids on stream using this method and my assigned scouts were not bringing in many players at all.
I used to do that but it's very time consuming. What they need is an option on the start of the game to just have all players on the database known to you. Similar to how you can switch off attribute masking.
@@loganadams1205 That's why I search during the international break as the players have been called up to the squads. You might miss some players but you'll find the majority of the best regens using this method.
@@kevinb9830 I assign my scouts to youth tournaments when they happen. My scouts don't find too many players themselves but when I go through the squads I already have an initial star rating I unless a player is 15 or 16 I only select players with at more than two stars. I'm also able to rule out players I've previously scoured once I've done the process at least once. If that's too time consuming then go through reliable talent producing nations such as Colombia and Serbia as you will still find plenty of wonder kids.
YES! SYC's is the best but is too time consuming. I do player search, int caps 1, youth caps 1, and scout everybody with at least half a star rep. I do this every month during int breaks and January and again in July. So much faster.
should do an experiment of two teams with same current ability but one is all the same number on all of their attributes and the other is tailor made for their position to see how much of an effect it has in game

JUST 4 goals from my best forward which funny enough was...the regen or Ronaldo (the phenom), that kid after just 8 months in my youth team became a starting lineup player when he was 15 and change years old. How do you buy players under 18? I am managing Sheffield Wednesday in the prem, and any south american or EU player I find that's under 18 yod, the agent always say "He don't want to join bc it isn't the right move to continue his development"

Nxt gen 50 is the best one , find so many youth players from random countries that turn into beasts for next to nothing, lots of Eastern Europeans, South Americans and Middle Eastern wonderkids always on there that I wouldn't find otherwise
@@chaz2705 I agree that it’s a great source…but my way gets you mostly the same players BEFORE they get onto that list! The amount of times I’ve seen one of my players appear on that list AFTER I’ve bought them is crazy! Even signed the #1 beforehand once! It is incredibly time consuming doing it my way…I will admit to that!
@@GIBBO4182 agreed, literally had the NxtGen list yesterday in my save, we’re currently at the end of an international break for World Cup qualifying and I had already started scouting and at least had decent knowledge of every single player on the list (no.1 is a Dutch striker I signed 1.5 years ago after seeing him play for u21 at 16, he’s now just turned 18 and already capped for the national team, and no.4 is an Italian attacking mid I signed at the start of the season when he was 15 after again seeing him play for the Italy u21s. No.20 and No.41 were two of my home grown youth prospects. Seeing no players I hadn’t seen before on the list was both boring and rewarding haha
@@samn90834 when you’re a smaller club or you’re trying to bridge the gap from top 6 to winning the league it’s the only way…it takes a lot of time finding the players and a lot of patience waiting for them to improve…but that’s how I like to play the game!
@@chaz2705 yea, and you can't get work permits for any of them!

Guys, if your best wonderkid is Youssoufa Moukoko you're clearly don't play Football Manager enough...
I don’t know. In my game Moukoko became easily the best player of all time. Over a goal a game for pretty much 17 years.
My scout found 16 years old with 198PA. In the end they can be useful.
Who
@@gazlaffey1325 who what?
Knowing their PA is basically cheating.
You’re cheating.
@@daviebananas1735 which part of "my scout found" you didn't understand?
So simple and yet so obvious. Great tip checking age of players on the youth rosters of national teams. Probably lots of hidden gems in there.
Beaver (sic) is absolutely outrageous. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
I wonder if we'll see him bag 40 or 50 goals in a single season before he gets transfered or Zealand moves to another save.
Another RUclipsr had this strategy posted a long time ago, it is very effective
Found similar spanish midfield player like at 15-16 yo, with crazy attributes like most of them 15-16, he was playing full matches at 16yo in my ligue 1 team, later he was sold for around 200+ mil at 23 yo.
Sick kit! I was looking at buying this one!
Like that one time I had a plethora of piñatas.
Ca 120, pa 135. Seen it so often haha
Sadly
A few years back I got a 15yr old Brazilian DM who had 5 20s off the bat...never seen anything like it before or since!
I found on FM20 that the Brazil U-20 team is a gold mine. Signed three players from there and are all rated at 4 star PA
I find it easier to sift through bad reports by heading to the scouting screen and the clicking the list option. That way you can select players en masse and clear the reports quickly
I can't believe he does it one by one. Crazy.
@@patpat8727 Harry Kane 😢
@@edwardharrison1471 what are you talking about?
@@patpat8727 Pretty sure the reason he's still at Tottenham was due to a 6/7 year contract he signed a while back. Also you'd be surprised at the stuff that is included in contracts; I think tifo did a video explaining all the various clauses that get included.
Coruna is the club I’m with in my journey save. We are in CL after coming second my best player was a Serbian regem haaland. Same build, fast and strong on the ball. I got for 5 mil and now he’s worth 60mil+ his name is Dragan bogdanovic
Sounds like u got Vlahović like Fiorentina
If it looks like a big club is going to match the release clause of a wonder kid and you can't get them to sign a new contract I usually try sell them for less than the release clause but then always have something like a clause where we receive 50% of the profit made on the next sale. This at least gives you a better chance of making more money off them.
Zealand you want to change the view you are using when going through youth squads en masse.
I like to add scouting knowledge level / ability / potential to the columns.
That way you can easily see who has been scouted already, and sometimes it even reminds you to go back and re-scout some players if you didn't add them to any shortlists at the last run through.
Oh yeah, it's Beaver time 😎
Teşekkürler.
The stats are amazing. Really good.
In fact too good. Probably has a comparatively low PA so little room for growth.
You are my favourite American Kiwi who is also British.
aaaand he was bought from my favourite IRL team, that's so amazing
Deportivo de la Coruña fan here. we WILL return
I love the Pokemon reference, SO much.
The best players are often not called up to the national team unless they are playing games
The away kit for deportivo also is pretty awesome
I personally like using the "their offer wasn't good enough" argument. You're usually able to make them agree to ridiculous prices nobody will match
Nothing like some Zealand knowledge on meh birthday! woot woot
Dudes hairline is dying faster then my relationship
To keep getting on Youth Tournaments use something called "Screen Flow"
should do an experiment of two teams with same current ability but one is all the same number on all of their attributes and the other is tailor made for their position to see how much of an effect it has in game
The truly best player I EVER found was a french defensive midfielder back in the ol' fm15, still remember the name Mathys Kremer, found him in a amateur french club, his current abilitiy was already at 74.ish percent, his potential ability however... was at 99.12 percent, numbers I never forgot, everything was on his 19s and 20s...except...technique, had an average of 12-15 tackles per game and an assist or goal as well, i ended one season with him havbing 56 assists and 39 goals... JUST 4 goals from my best forward which funny enough was...the regen or Ronaldo (the phenom), that kid after just 8 months in my youth team became a starting lineup player when he was 15 and change years old. Fuck I love FM!
Seeing Pokémon in a Zealand video makes me want a nuzlocke
This is how I always find my wonderkids.
Hello👋🏾...unrelated but could you jump on this Premier League All-Star North Vs South thing using FM
5:30 That caught my interest ngl
Dude. Im here to see the wonder kit. When's Jan 1st gonna be streamed?
I just found out you can select many players and scout them all at once, thanks!
Nah that's weird, I'm doing a Deportivo save right now and you got a Deportivo shirt.
Hi, maybe it's not the best time to say that, but if you're going to start feeling insecure abt your hair please don't worry, because you'd look very good bald, which means you're good looking so hair shouldn't be a concern for you
Banger vid btw watching them for few months now

How do you buy players under 18? I am managing Sheffield Wednesday in the prem, and any south american or EU player I find that's under 18 yod, the agent always say "He don't want to join bc it isn't the right move to continue his development"
Haha I’ve been doing this for a few years! Nice to have some vindication im doing beneficial things…
I already used this method I thought it was well known
I got the best wonderkid from Estudiantes in a save with Benfica, could play every position in the defense. Never got to manage him because he was 17 and could only leave the country at 18 and I left Benfica for Real Madrid. Wish I could put a screenshot of his stats.
When will you make a video on features you hope are in the new FM? Would be nice to see it also divided into urgency (for example personal hopes, necessary/musts and recommendations)
You gotta love that "streamers luck" when getting mystery kits. I wouldn't get depor if I ordered 1000000 packages.
I found a generational talent in Turkeys U 21 whilst managing the national team
Zealand: *Gives contract advice*
Me: *Just signed a 23 year old five star winger on a contract of two years and with a release clause equal to his value* Hmmm 🤔
My best wonderkid signing is always Moukoko on a free in fm21 cuz he seems to always accept a contract offer at 17
I’ve only been doing this since FM12 lol. Thought this was standard
Can't find any video about manager attributes? Do they matter? What attributes do you have? You play your save with highest manager attributes?
Absurd wonderkid and a great deportivo la coruna kit in the same video... Kinda jealous
I wish they'd sort out how regens look, they looked ok a couple of years ago and they've actually gone backwards.
What transfer fee would it be to get you over to OF? Just an enquiry.
Always done this, scouring through youth nationals to find the youngest, set scout on them and/or look at their wages. You can get FM´ed at times if you buy masked players on a whim, usually though it pays off huge. Got my 2 star Columbians that way in my current Wrexham game plus a bunch of others which have either been sold for profit or are on the verge of the first team.
Whew, so glad he was only kidding 😅😂
Which database are you playing? How many countries you are simulating?
no wonder his name is Beaver, cause dam, he's pretty good
If I'm already subscribed do I need to unsubscribe for it to work?
just wondering, have you covered the stopping a team comming in and bidding to unsettle your player to get them on the cheap. I've had this more than a few times in the scottish leagues. Gets very fustrating. I've even tried to save to see if there was one option to get a ok outcome. but I'd say 995 I end up with the player leaving.
Nice Biver!
I once signed a 16 year old Sammarinese cdm for Brighton on fm19, he was vanarama national league level player but won my player of the year on our first season back in the prem after getting relegated 2 years before. Just thought I’d share this 😂 Also, he had 18 tackling but absolutely fuck all else 😂
5:06 I want this
How many seasons did it take you to get 19 scouts? That’s phenomenal.
I pressed the subscribe button, and my wonderkid turned down Manchester United to stay in Nordsjælland. It seems to work.
