I would definitely like to see a Rough Cut of Terry someday... I mean all your rough cuts and hotline of other riders are awesome but I think the guy behind the camera deserves a little spotlight once in a while...
mathew is a beast! thanks to watching your videos along with matt and kym i finally got myself on a bike again after a long period off one. keep the content coming!
London actually has a slightly bigger population and is geographically more spread out - but the streets are narrower and it feels like everything is on a smaller scale. I assume that’s what you meant.
When are you going to Europe? The style of your work brings out so much of the environment, and whilst I love American cities, the architecture of European cities is unique- unrivalled in beauty. No one is making videos of this quality out here, I'm sure it would blow up.
Mad respect to the level of commitment it takes to actually be that much of a prick on the bike. Also mad respect for the futility of that mans riding and quick line choices. Half of those lines were unsafe because he simply was going to quickly. Glad he didnt hit anything... He seems like a type of guy who is just more lucky than skilled.
I just watched this on my flat screen TV with the surround sound turned way up. Soooo sick! I love the raw footage especially with the sounds of the ride. Nice work!!!
Sick riding. Cant really understand why you gotta yell at people though; its about flow. If you yell at people, then youre doing it wrong. You flow like water, not like mud.
Yo Terry I love your footage . Just , do think you might ever go above 59th ??? Can't uptown or Washington heights get some love. Spoke to soon you're almost in yorkville .
This dude is pretty quick I'll give him that but his lines, instincts and intersections are a little weak. I watched a few of your Hotline videos and they're all pretty sick! If this guy had Cooper Ray's instinct to go along with his speed and acceleration..... Holy shit! Props to both of them though. Additional props to the filmer, because he was hugging that wheel plus reading the traffic and lemmings well. Just my opinion as a 7 year messenger. Great video!
As far as I can tell he’s a Londoner - he’s probably not in tune with the traffic flow and pace of New York - plus London doesn’t really have big intersections like NY does.
Dont want to discredit Mathew (he is a great rider, by the way...fucking fast and agressive)..but the follower..i guess is Terry Barrentsen, amazing. Made it so smooth. You choose the lines that i would choose. :) great video. Bit too far in danger thought. Im a bike messenger in London. I know how fucking fast this is. .
Best way to get the attention of a driver who possibly doesn't see you is slap/knock on their vehicle. Driving in NYC is sensory overload and often times drivers are listening to music or on their phone. Yelling/ringing a bell wont do much as it just kinda blends in to the rest of the noise in NYC. But a nice little slap on the car they probably gonna hear that. Nothing more than a love tap to let someone know that you are present and in the space.
I wish I lived in NYC, my city is relatively small and full of traffic. Whenever they have some space, drivers go at 50km/h, they never use blinkers, they don't respect cyclists. If I rode like this in Tirana, I'd be dead in a few days...
Terry, you must be using some kind of stabilizer, and some tracking system too. Or you basically never turn your head right and left just to keep filming Matt. Sick videos though, just subscribed!
Encontré al ciclista. Actuó en una película de los hermanos Cohen llamada "The Big Lebowsky": vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/thebiglebowski/images/b/b3/Landlord.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160518134129
This seems to me like a video game :) This guy is so quick! Ah he has a racing number Would be a nice city to ride a bicycle if there were any bikelanes, maybe in the green centerline of the roads. Then there wouldnt be the need to drive so risky.
Great riding and cadence, the only thing I didn't like was the repeated slapping on cars. Trucks and busses are one thing, but doing it to cars is kinda rude imo, but this is part of NYC fixed life I guess.
Защита тела была бы не лишней?Машина,с которой будет поцелуй,уже в пути )))) Protection of the body would not be superfluous? The machine with which there will be a kiss, already on the road)))
Here’s to Terry making these guys look good, keeping up and filming like a BOSS.
Yah the long run through the yellows around 7-8mins in was dope.
You should be next! Definitely need a Coffee Ride or a Hotline with you.
I’d love to do a coffee ride with Dustin
😘
Was he Mathew Watson in clipless pedals?
I would definitely like to see a Rough Cut of Terry someday... I mean all your rough cuts and hotline of other riders are awesome but I think the guy behind the camera deserves a little spotlight once in a while...
@1:50 Yellow helmet, that's me, dorkin out on the folding bike going south on 5th Avenue
awesome man glad I caught you in the wild.
The guy filming is way more efficient and faster. He's good!
His name is Terry !! He is the fkg best, fuck the rest
mathew is a beast! thanks to watching your videos along with matt and kym i finally got myself on a bike again after a long period off one. keep the content coming!
Happy you’re back on a bike.
This dude was on the gas for a minute. Him an cooper ray gotta go head to head!
I like this, it gives me an idea of how big NYC is, London seems tiny now
We barley scratched the surface in this one.
London is a lot bigger than NYC
London actually has a slightly bigger population and is geographically more spread out - but the streets are narrower and it feels like everything is on a smaller scale. I assume that’s what you meant.
Smart being the camera man in new york traffic because we all know that the camera man never dies
Yo Yo Yoo that skid in front of those pedestrians at 7:34
was wicked sweeeeeet
This might be one of the coolest routes I’ve seen so far!!
Which Avenue had all the cherry trees in bloom, in the centre of the street?
Park
It's like playing GTA on PS5 ....
10:00 I am Legend.
Yep, top of Grand Central Station
Yeah I knew I recognized this from somewhere
Siiick.. love the real sounds as well !!
holy shit I had to pause at 11:17 and take a minute to calm down
Classic At 13:47!! Gr8 Video T
Cheers
8 minutes of incredible pace without a sip of water!
What is the bike brand that Mathew was riding ?
THIS IS WILD ! ! ! Thanks for taking the risk to deliver another awesome video.
Thank you
10:45 oh boiii thats a close one
amazing video, as always, but his De Ver frame makes me fall in love haha nice work guys!!
Love your channel! Keep it up, stay safe!
one of the best roughcuts so far
How fast can someone go pedaling ?? Or these cars are too slow ?
A little of both. Cars in New York are a little on the slower side, but this dude is wicked quick.
When are you going to Europe? The style of your work brings out so much of the environment, and whilst I love American cities, the architecture of European cities is unique- unrivalled in beauty. No one is making videos of this quality out here, I'm sure it would blow up.
Hopefully this spring summer. We’ll see
im wondering what's the speed limit in that city?
Mad respect to the level of commitment it takes to actually be that much of a prick on the bike. Also mad respect for the futility of that mans riding and quick line choices. Half of those lines were unsafe because he simply was going to quickly. Glad he didnt hit anything... He seems like a type of guy who is just more lucky than skilled.
Conner Billeci looool
To the people with negative comments i would like for you guys to post a video so i could see how this guy should ride
Thank you for creating these videos!!!
Thank you for watching
I just watched this on my flat screen TV with the surround sound turned way up. Soooo sick! I love the raw footage especially with the sounds of the ride. Nice work!!!
🙏🏽
Rippping it!
this guy pedals so quick he gets to his destination a minute before he left
Still can't believe how fast this guy is.
these guys!
9:58 isnt that the place where "i am legend" movie has been shooted ? Where the monsters have set the trap for the main character.
Terry, do you have your own murchendise products ?! If so, wherecan i buy some ?! Greetings christopher
so many toyota rav4 in NYC, must be popular out there. Keep up the great work )
Just received your book here in Osaka. Thanks for the fast delivery! Nice work, reminiscent of famous Japanese street photographer Daido Moriyama.
Awesome! Thank you for the support and what a compliment!
Excellent vid quality
Was waiting for this, yasss
Mathew Watson , well done sir
Of course You too Terry
He slaps those cars like they're a fine Spanish ass.
Sick riding. Cant really understand why you gotta yell at people though; its about flow. If you yell at people, then youre doing it wrong. You flow like water, not like mud.
Hey the guys been a courier in London for a good 20 years - You don’t really have to give him pointers, mate
a lot of the time when he yells at peds he has the light anyway, not his fault that they're fucking idiots
Terry, I love your video. Dangerous short braking. But it's exciting.
is that clipless pedal ?
yes
Great video Terry, as always. What about a Hotline - Francisco Borrero?
I don't know of him but would love to meet him sometime.
How many km you have done here?
Peep the strava link
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Why are there so many SUV's? Is it some kind of status thing?
NYC?
Wish there was a head up display showing the speeds!!
There’s a strava link to see our speeds in description
Очень красиво и захватывающе! Видео пролетает на одном дыхании. Правда в Махачкале вас уже бы соскребали с бампера маршрутки ;)
Guys im new to this but why do they ride with fixed gear and why is it called hotline
Yo Terry I love your footage . Just ,
do think you might ever go above 59th ??? Can't uptown or Washington heights get some love. Spoke to soon you're almost in yorkville .
was about to say that
:)
too much pedal. what is his ratio?
Boston is crazy and he is crazier
dude's got maneuvers
I wish you had a speed overlay to see how fast u guys are moving.
Working on the Garmin overlays
AWESOMEEE!! That was my thoughts exactly - I'd love to see some digits ;P!!! Please include metrics as well!!
At 10:00 that's where they shot that scene in I am Legend where will Smith loses his dog
Would love to see the outcome of one of these filmed in london i just dont think it would be as easy
that's fighting talk ;) London is going to happen, stay tuned...
Mathew Watson i am looking forward to that!
Yea... That shit inner city is a mad house... Those double deckers can't see shit
This dude is pretty quick I'll give him that but his lines, instincts and intersections are a little weak. I watched a few of your Hotline videos and they're all pretty sick! .
This camera angle reminds of the game GTA. Probably because he rides in the same manner and the constant honking.
K Digiacomo my non-cyclist friends actually thought the same
This is amazing
I dg the fast riding, definitely rad but why he always slappin cars lmao! One day he'll slap the wrong car and I hope it dont happen. Great Video tho!

Wait a minute I think I spotted the Cash Cab!!

thats how we all feel at the beginning but when you actually know your bike and your limits it all matches but you need to give it a try to understand
I would like to cycle in nyc because the traffic is so stationary. were I live in the uk Yorkshire its a bit more fee flowing.
the law< you on a bike is that the message?
That’s the message
Tesos! 🖖
Alejandro Romero Sizas!
Terry, you must be using some kind of stabilizer, and some tracking system too. Or you basically never turn your head right and left just to keep filming Matt. Sick videos though, just subscribed!
The high pitched ringing is pri wonky tho
I need new gear.
this guy is good
Those who hate this video , cant do this skills themselves
Bro I know you all must be knowing this but I didn't see the brakes on these bikes. Where are the brakes?
Just freefalling
>coming to Europe
Sooooo EBMC in Poland yeeeees?! I'll see you there! Would love to shake your hand!
Would love to be there

Que anchas teneis los carriles en usa, hacer esto por europa haver si sale igual. Suerte
man! this wild footage + kuiper (floating points) as a soundtrack, is fucking psychedelic!!
Why you running red lights?
cause they are stupid :)
we need video of someone filming you while riding while filming someone who goes pretty fast...
Yo, I'd enjoy HotLine: Skeletor, he's a legend! HEP HEP HEEEP
I need to get out there and meet him first.
11:51 lmao bitch slap.
восторг и зависть !)
It seems quite, i expected tons of honking cars and people yelling...."a$$hole!!"
Boost activate
Cool, but the police are not angry?
トンプソンスレッジ The police can't keep up
SunRayNYC Yeah
strong and fast
1:31 Indian Flag 🇮🇳
This would have looked wild except I live in a third world country and motorcycle riders ride wilder than this but still great video.
Great riding and cadence, the only thing I didn't like was the repeated slapping on cars. Trucks and busses are one thing, but doing it to cars is kinda rude imo, but this is part of NYC fixed life I guess.
Any idea what bike/gear ratio he's riding? That was insanely quick, props for keeping up
48/18. Terry is strong!
cheers!
Prolly more like 49x17. That's not 48x18. Just can't be. Too fast for 48x18 you would have to spin like a rabbit to get that speed.
@@jasonpeck9100 mate, the guy who said 48/18 is the guy riding the bike in the video his name's Mathew
Strong as fuck
FUCK IT UP
genial asi se maneja💪👍
Lightning.
Защита тела была бы не лишней?Машина,с которой будет поцелуй,уже в пути ))))
Protection of the body would not be superfluous? The machine with which there will be a kiss, already on the road)))
Never seen a crit bike with a spinny gear ratio
He flipped it for the streets
Makes sense, thanks for the reply
How to bike like a complete a-hole chapter 257
