Mousey was handed a terrible hand in her life, but she made the most of it, played that hand, and came out on top, becoming one of the most successful female streamers of all time. This is despite and in spite of her ongoing health issues, and she deserves all the respect she has.
It's just awesome that Mousey, despite her circumstances in life did find so much success. One of the main reasons I love VTubing as a form of media, as without it, Mousey probably wouldn't have been able to find anywhere close to this success, perhaps not even anything at all. VTubing opens up a lot of possibilities for people from all wakes of life, especially for someone like Mouse who can't do much in life but has an incredible talent to entertain.
I mean, it's macabre but she would probably be dead. A lot of people with her condition cannot afford the absurd medical bills in the US healthcare system and simply have to die. Mouse had friends who passed away from it for that reason at ages younger than she is now. Plasma infusions are astronomically expensive when you need them once a week or more.
She wanted to train to be a singer, she did so some of the education and then ended up in in bed, getting worse over time and regularly in a hospital for long stays.... her voice changed because one of her illnesses and all her dreams destroyed, and now she is well known for her singing, Sometimes dreams do come through, but maybe not in the way you imagined it.
Of course, like all forms of streaming and/or professional content creation, it has to be noted that less than 1% of the people who avidly participate in the medium will ever make a livable wage from it. So it opens opportunities for a very small number of people that fit the right mold in the right place at the right time, but it's not like it's an industry that's going to be a substitute for car manufacturing in terms of employing the masses (or retail, or fast food, or restaurant wait staff, etc).
I just really like how a certain someone approached mouse for help about his tax problems and she was like i got you brah lemme hook you up with a guy. It just seems really part of person doing this for family. I think most ppl who went through what mouse did would be really selfish when success finds them.
That's because Mouse don't care about being famous in the first place. The reason why she did this is because she was alone that's it. She once said " they are just numbers to me".
She's doing what she loves, the money is a part of that that she doesn't care about To her it's probably 'Can I pay for things this month? Good, I have a stream scheduled, so you can deal with the rest '
One of the problems with Twitch and social media as a career is the instability. You don’t know if the people running these platforms will do something to screw over content creators or if the site itself could collapse, meaning it’s not good as a long term career.
on the bright side, mouse probably banks most of her income, because she earns _loads_. I mean, by my humble calculations she makes like 100k a month. That's not counting the subathon (which probably bought her the house). So since she stays at home, she probably doesn't spend that money that much (evident by her 15k Forknife tourney, 31k model concept art contest, all the models she commissions etc). So she has to have a couple of mil put away already, probably got some advice from Rio (Vshojo's finance guy) or Gun on how to invest it too. I guess even if the cashflow stops today, she's set.
the fact that the 1st thing mouse did when she got money ... was help her mom and the 2nd thing was try to employ/help her sister is so wholesome i might be sick ..... seriusly help this is to fking sweet
I only make a little money and i do gross stuff and while I would enjoy making a couple grand every time i streamed, if i ever started getting tractionor ever got inspired, i wouldn’t be quite as satisfied because i do all this stuff for the store, lots of moving trash, breaking boxes, sweeping, filling the ice holder, moving beer, moving seafood, dumping frying oil, rotating merchandise, hosing down the nasty bins after the fat waste guys come pick up the crap inside of them. I’ve developed a great work ethic of what i’m willing to do, being able to shut something down to get work done most of the time, etc, which is huge for me because i’m 3 years off my adhd and asd meds. I don’t care about my income as much, thanks to my mind, i already live life on hardmode and my net worth is lower than the worth of my character, and i think it’s something i want to treasure when lots of guys these days are focused on just making the big bucks. Thankfully i also don’t have big addictions to tobacco or gambling either. But having some better income would be nice i feel, i just don’t see myself surviving longer than 2 months as a streamer before i say something controversial and get canceled on twitter or some crap. I’m the luckiest basement dweller in the US. Now if only i could get financially independent.
Shame I don't have the gift of gab, I'd have considered vtube stuff a long time ago and I'd have just used to cash to let my sister and brother in law retire comfortably, get a little hobbit hole for myself and just upload relaxed gaming vods or something. Eh, if wishes were fishes...
I'm glad she's making the most of the opportunities she's been given and made for herself. What she has to deal with sucks and i hope in my lifetime that we'll have made significant advances in treating autoimmune diseases.
@epistarter1136 Guideline, maybe. Important cuz not everyone got family like that. Yknow how the workplace is. You gotta have understanding folks for it to work out. Also, I just feel like Mouse is putting too much on herself.
ye in times like this all u need to do to make easy money is 1- be a girl 2 - be a Vtuber 3 - do streams 24/7 and wait that weird people o spam emojis on a virtual chat pay u all they life savings 😂
Nah man, I’ve seen many Vtubers on twitch that have like 25 viewers and can’t seem to break through even a hundred viewers. Looks like people are getting the same idea you have but aren’t getting anywhere. Besides it’s cam girls who scam people out of their life savings sometimes.
@@bastionsea2829 yes, hundreds of vtubers live comfortably, but mouse makes mad bank, I don't think any other vtuber has that amount of cashflow. I mean, 13-15k stable subs, merch, ad rev from twitch, ad rev from youtube. Dont' forget sponsors - 2 hour stream? 20k, boom. Do 12 of those a year? 240k a year just from sponsors.
This Is Gold, Don't Miss it👇

So many doors have opened for Mouse, and she's been doing good things with the opportunity.

The Sister's mice would make a heck of a team lol
Ironmouse on some queen shit
She wants it to be her last flight. Thats a thread
i do love the idea of Family Mouse getting into the business with her as her support team. That amuses me to no end.
Yeah, I think it's safe to call six figures "a livable wage" lol. She is most definitely raking in the dough.
Well, especially her due to her condition. But yea.
I just really like how a certain someone approached mouse for help about his tax problems and she was like i got you brah lemme hook you up with a guy.

I know it's not gonna happen, but I'd love to see her sister become a VTuber
Big fan of “Landlady Noona” Nari.

mousey is such a big sweetheart.
That's awesome mousey 😊 I hope she comes
Anybody can be a vtuber. But you have to actually be “entertaining” to pull it off
Gigachad ironmouse
I don't have a job, I'm extremely bored
I plan to start streaming just to have something to do that entertains others
Yaay for Mousey......
Mouse is so great

Important rule, don't always include family in business. Even Vtuber business. Just heads up.
Depends on the family.
The vtuber OniGiri has her brother help out and has the name "Onibro". What makes it an important rule?
@@cobaltprime9467 True, but it also depends on the business owner.
@epistarter1136 Guideline, maybe. Important cuz not everyone got family like that. Yknow how the workplace is. You gotta have understanding folks for it to work out. Also, I just feel like Mouse is putting too much on herself.
Depends on the person and family
If your family won’t retire and let you pay for them, I’ll take that money.

you forgot one of the most important parts about being an entertainer
0.1 - be entertaining

You're watching the number 1 English Vtuber.
Do you know how many girls fit all 3 of these criteria and are not receiving chat's life savings?
I'd contest that #1 is not remotely important
I know there's several male Vtubers who live quite comfortable lives as Vtubers
