      +Benjamin Katz Yeah, I'd say the Summer of 93 was where the cut off was. When grunge and Alternative music really started gettling in, fashion and culture really changed with it. Then when grunge went out in 98 and cell phones and DVDs showed up, culture changed again.

      +Clutch Cargo early 90s reminds me of the late 80s I so wish I grew up in the 70s so I could've been an 80s baby because those days just seemed way more free & real

      Ella Jane I grew up in the 80's and 90's and, its not that those times were that great, its just culture today really sucks. No more Saturday morning cartoons and everything you want is at your fingertips, life today is not as much fun.

      Clutch Cargo I think the music back in the 80s was Better. Plus underage drinking was legal. I mean you had Elton John (back when Madonna could actually write songs), all the bands like good rock bands. Music was soo much real because musicians wrote their own lyrics & beats.

    You got to respect this guy, the police re-enacted this scenario as much as they could and what they got from it was he basically walked in as Nichole was being killed and ran to help her. This guy did a lot of good things to help people and didn't run away when someone was being attacked

      Wrong , OJ ran and knocked Nicole out first then went after Ron then he finished Nicole off.

      @Nicoletta13 2 года назад +18

      @@JoeBuck207 Ron had 25 hairs from Nicole on his shirt.. ... The neighbor heard a young guy say "hey hey hey"
      So all signs point to him walking up on something happening and trying to stop it
      To have that many hairs from Nicole on his shirt he had to have come in co tact with her .I think while he was. Radling her head hexwas grabbed from behind ( remember his face has Knicks from the knife as if he was being mocked or theatenrd. Simpson had a grip on him .probably his arm around his neck. Ron got out of his grip at some point. Pulling the glove off and the glove Landing under the shrubbery .
      The fight with Ron begins and he is immediately cadged in the little area ..
      After he killed Ron he went back to Nicole and slit her throat .or another theory .. he had skit Nicole's throat as Ron came walking up. Which would explain all of Nicole's hair on his shirt.renemver Simpson with bloodied gloves pulled Nicole's head back by her hair to extend her neck.
      Whatever the sequence of events. It was horrific. And heartbreaking.
      Two innocent beautiful vibrant people were slaughtered .

      @love4artnl 2 года назад +6

      Sometimes the police doesn't give the right information about what actually happend , what the evidence was . Maybe the killers followed Ron around , and thought it would be better to not kill him at his own place . He lived in an apartment , so that would be much harder to get in . I think it was a contractkilling , and Nicole got killed because she was a witness . Maybe she ran to Ron , trying to fight off the killer , and than he killed her . First he knocked her out , and when he got finished with Ron , he went to Nicole and slit her throat . I think that it was a revenge killing too , i think that Ron had done something wrong to someone , and he had to pay for it . I think that nobody gets murdered in this way , just for the sake of killing . Someone wanted him gone real bad .

    • @love4artnl
      @love4artnl 2 года назад +8

      And i must say that he comes off as arrogant , and way to sexual . He crearly saw women as objects . Who knows , maybe he forced himself on someone , it wouldn't shock me when i look at his bodylanguage . People have to watch out with who they come in contact . I wouldnt have liked it , when someone would say he would sleep with me right of the bat . I think that's discusting , for him to talk this way .

      MrHappyBollox I'm sorry. How does that make him a part of their *past* (she was divorced and dating around) dysfunction?
      With that reasoning we can assess that if you dated a divorced gal a couple of times and drove her Ferrari (it was hers, sorry) and her *_EX husband_* was a psychopath that would make you somehow a part of that dysfunctional past.
      Huh. Interesting.

      MrHappyBollox No, he didn't have anything to do with OJ and Nicole. If he was hanging around Nicole that's not against the law, she was divorced, the Ferrari was hers upon divorce because OJ bought it as a gift for HER.
      Are you as daft as your moniker implies? Nothing he did was wrong, dysfunctional or otherwise. And he was never involved during their marriage.

    Wow, it's surreal watching this-- complete with the commercials. It transported me back to the early '90s. When the OJ Simpson murders case was happening, I thought of Ron's death as a sad case of wrong place at the wrong time, nothing more-- even though I had learned at the time that Ron was born one day before me; we were the same age. Now I'm 47 years-old, and all I can see is this young dude with the slicked-back '90s hair, in his stone-washed jeans-- rolled up at the ankles with the white socks bunched down, sitting with his legs in the most macho way possible, big forced smile, looking nervous to be on TV and trying to be as funny as possible for the standards of the time. He was just a kid back then, but I didn't realize it because I too was just a kid. Now I'm older-- I know that all the other people who were on that show are also middle-aged, look back at the way they dressed and talked and behaved and cringe at it. Ron never got to, because he was frozen in time. He never even got to know that there'd be a thing called RUclips. His murder has a different meaning to me now.

    • @i-manbi4ever735
      @i-manbi4ever735 8 лет назад +13

      Wtf did you just go on about lol. Ron was cocky fucking playboy in LA. He's dead because his ass fucked around with the wrong woman at wrong time. OJ was there to spy on Nicole (as he did often) he brought the knife because he had it in his mind if he caught her again with another man he would kill them both. Ron showed up not to be a nice guy and bring back some eye glasses, he went there for the glasses as an excuse to get into Nicole's pants. And look who caught them kissing at the front gate.
      OJ blacked out - hence the stabbings and both lay dead. This video only shows how cocky the dude was and how bad ass he thought we was as we all are at 23 yrs old. Now I broke it down for u. Because I'm not sure what you went on about. 90s style" slicked back hair" you're middle aged" etc etc lol blah blah lol wtf. I wasted my time telling you what should have been typed so there u go lol

      What's so creepy is where OJ was located was only 6min drive to Nicoles (according to gps map) and from Mezzaluna where Ron was only 2 min drive to Nicoles, and Ron and OJ left exactly at same time to get to her, according to the timeline of the murders. I suspect Ron got to her first and OJ snuck up behind and ambushed them both. OJ definitely wanted to kill them both and was waiting for an opportunity to do so and that I only would know cause he admitted to stalking her (he told a friend) and seeing her with a guy through her window, so he was literally waiting for it. He also slashed the tires of her car that was a huge red flag that he was determined to end her.

      Yep I can believe that, I was an actress around that time too, I did the same thing he was doing, but in the east coast. Very small parts here and there... we needed to have a certain type of attitude, for women it was sexy bimbo vibe, we had to play the bimbo while the men played the cocky macho roles. Thank goodness today women and men have more freedom in the roles they want to play. This video reminds me of the shitty tv roles we took just to start getting acting jobs, we had to pay our dues first. I wonder what Ron could've become if his life wasn't taken away so soon. I know he wanted to own a restaurant but I also bet he would've stayed in show biz too, maybe even a cute comedian, stand up comedy. I hope he got to do what he really wanted to do in his next life, which should be right about now in the 21st century. souls never die, they just transform into a new avatar and life goes on... Hopefully in his new life he got to finish what he started in that other life that OJ took away from him.

    I just realized that I believe that was the shirt Ron Goldman wore when he was murdered. If not,he wore a similar one. Same thing with the jeans. He didn't really need to,but Ron took it upon himself to return a forgotten pair of eyeglasses to Nicole Brown that belonged to her mother. Ron was in the wrong place at a bad time. Ron is so hot, seems like he would have been a lot of fun with a heart of gold deep inside. And obviously, he was the true hero, losing his life to a false, fake, so called 'hero' in attempt to save Nicole's. I sure hope your soul is in a better place, Ron.

      actually ron might have been the target and nicole was the one in the way. he has a six page criminal record and was a waiter which was known to sell cocaine.

      +Thierry i dont think so. nicole needed to open the gate for goldman. the attack happened simultaneously which is why i dont believe oj did it.

    He seems like a regular guy happy in life; this is precisely how I remember the 90s.
    It's crazy to know shortly after this, OJ killed him.

    HIS NAME IS RON by Fred Goldman was one of the most interesting books I ever read. This is where I learned about Ron's appearance on STUDS. On the back cover is a photo of studly Ron holding a baseball bat in mid-air,sadly taken during his final hours alive. Later in the late afternoon,Ron went to work at the now-extinct restaurant Mezzaluna's in Brentwood,CA. After his shift ended,he took it upon himself to return a pair of eyeglasses to his friend Nicole Brown,which actually belonged to her mother. He found Nicole being attacked and unsuccessfully tried to rescue her. Instead,Ron got stabbed to death as well(30 times,according to what his sister Kimberly says). Then Nicole's throat got slashed. While many people believe that the attacker was Nicole's former husband,football legend O.J. Simpson,who was initially the only suspect in the double murder,two more suspects came up,Simpson's son Jason and serial killer Glen Rogers. Rogers was doing some painting jobs in Brentwood at the time of the June 1994 tragedy. Fred and Kim,who believe OJ is the monster who murdered Ron,never refer to OJ by name despite his acquittal in the criminal trial. If not saying "he,"his" or "him",they call him "the killer". OJ was found liable in the following civil trial in 1997 and was ordered to pay the Goldmans and Brown's family $33.5 million. Particularly,when the Goldmans thought they finally received their long-deserved justice,neither family to this day did not receive all the money. Flash forward to 2007:OJ was involved in an armed robbery in Las Vegas,NV which its victims were sports memorabilia dealers about to sell items belonging to OJ. OJ would have been a free man today had he not violated parole the the two times he was granted it. OJ was found guilty on 12 counts of the robbery,kidnapping and coercion on 10/3/08 and just before Christmas,he was sentenced to a minimum of 9 years in state prison and a maximum of life. He will likely be released next year. Anyway,the bottom line is that Ron's family are relieved that OJ is again doing time in prison. Fred once said that prison was a (2nd)good place for OJ. He added,"The first good place would be 12 feet under in a garbage dump."

    • @AK-my6dv
      @AK-my6dv Год назад +3

      @@yvonnewilson2242Ron felt more pain though so he was enduring more pain through the struggle. Nicole’s was a very quick and easy cut to the throat, whereby she would have lost all feeling almost immediately, whereas Ron would’ve had to physically feel multiple stab wounds before he died. That’s like comparing someone who gets killed by a headshot compared to someone getting shot all over the body then dying, obviously the one getting shot all over is gonna go through more pain

    • @GeorgiaKev

      It must have been particularly hard for the Goldmans in the days after the double-murder, the media focused mostly on "Nicole Brown Simpson, O.J. Simpson's ex-wife", and Goldman was merely an afterthought..."the young man", "the waiter", or "the actor." The Goldmans must have been motivated to let everyone know that their loved one was a real person with a name who had talent and feelings like everyone else.

      GeorgiaKev if you saw the people vs OJ, the actor who played Ron's dad hit on your exact point. He said everything has been about OJ and Nicole, Nicole and OJ and Ron has become a footnote to his own murder. I can't even begin to imagine how the Goldman's must have felt, losing their son/brother etc., and him barely being remembered or mentioned.

    Thanks for uploading this. Ron seemed like a guy I would have really admired and looked up to back in the early 90s Encino Man days. Ron was handsome, funny, friendly, intelligent, and obviously very brave. OJ is a cowardly fuck who ambushed him and OJ with all his football bullshit means nothing and he is not half the man Ronnie was. God bless Ron. Rest in Peace and my prayers are with Fred and his family.
