One of the most endearing things about the character is that she's somehow able to convince others this larger-than-life character with lavender hair is real. I highly doubt many of the leading men she had on her shows over the years could have kissed her cheeks with such ease had they not been fully invested in the illusion. And she has never looked as truly gorgeous as she does now.

It is amazing how he created a character so unique and original as " Dame Edna Everage".Do USA citizens- or others english language speakers- pronounce the initial letter " O" in the word " Opossum"? Because I only hear " possum"? If not, why? Why english language seems to be like a " lottery ": you NEVER know what is coming ( in the pronunciation's case) untill it comes. It is crazy. Honestly, this language should be much more simple. Why having letters in words if you will not use them? Pronounce them? Do you have or buy for you or your house things you don't use or are not necessary for you ? There is no reason to make a language that complicated. This is, with no doubts, a negative aspect. 🇧🇷
