Thanks so much for watching! I'm incredibly lucky to have been able to capture this. I lived by the coast for one year and saw it twice. You're right, it's never gonna be as good as ACTUALLY being there!
I had never even heard of this... amazing! Thanks to this, I now just saw a photo of the whole sky turning green in Jaipur! I have witnessed the Northern Lights here in Scotland. Actually, it happened at an outside techno party years ago, very trippy.
Wow you're so lucky!! Sounds epic. One of my biggest life goals is to see the Northern Lights, I have a big Alaska stage of life planned in the coming years mainly for that reason!!
@j.o.e.l.h.a. That sounds epic, Joel! But yes, the setting for my experience was pretty amazing. We turned the lights off and kept the sound going. A group of friends dancing to the Northern Lights. 🥰
That is very good photography. What lens were you using. Must be at least 400mm? I go out to the beach here in Texas trying to capture it. I am using a still camera. I think video is better for this type of photography but I am not into video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you my friend!! And you pretty much had it right, it was a 300mm on a crop sensor camera, and I cropped part of the footage in post to magnify it a little more. And I bet it could be done with stills, you just need to be firing MANY per second, whatever your camera maxes out at in burst mode. Video is easier, I'm usually a still shooter myself. Have a good one! Keep shooting, I know you'll get it one of these times!
Nice, real nice, I’ve seen the Green Flash dancing on the Sun, going left then back to right side of sun. I think the better the Smog Line the better the flash with the right atmospheric pressure and here L.A. on PV peninsula you get a lot of Purples & Blues hues like looking thru a fire opal ✌️
Yes sir, I changed some setting in the camera. It's been a while now and I forget what I did, but I do know this lens has a fixed aperture, so it was likely the shutter speed
You very recently said to a terminally ill child on their Make a Wish art day video, that their art was horrible, and a waste of canvas and paint. the best footage I have seen. Nothing like it in person, but thank you for sharing! FABULOUS

One of the best footage of a 5 second flash I’ve seen. 6 layered flash’s. The last of the 6 was the best. Very rare.
thanks for watching!!! this was crazy exciting to be able to capture.
Wow, that is so cool! Even just the sunset is incredible, but the green flash makes it amazing!!!
yeah i was already loving the sunset and the way it went into the water. what a crazy world!! glad you liked it thanks for checking it out
Awesomeness, what a great idea to take a video of the sunset to catch this amazing phenomenon.
thank you!! i was glad i decided not to take pictures that evening, would have missed half of this.
One of the rarest and hardest to see weather events!

It’s like a very big son but from far away it’s so small when you get far away

So beautiful.
Amazing!
I'm so glad I had this long zoom lens for this!! It was an ultra cheap one that didn't last too long. But it was amazing while it lasted
Was the recording device manipulated when the sun became more saturated?

I saw 12. Still super cool.
