Back then, in the 1970s, a lot of boys and men thought his lady -- Lynne Marta, the pretty blonde actress, singer, voice artist -- was pretty special from seeing her as a guest star and special guest star in dozens of TV one-hour dramas. For decades people have known or learned that he abused her. To which those same boys and men pining for her wonder or even shout, "David, how could you?!"
My niece made a southwest-style rice dish, with black beans. She said, "I love black beans!" so I had to look up this song for her. My sister was a devoted fan of David Soul, so I learned his songs in the 70s!
Nice to have fantasies about stars and athletes; only natural. That said, Lynne Marta -- so radiant here and with a beautiful voice too --, became his punching bag, and would politely disagree.

They stayed together after that incident and had another child together. He did anger management and spoke to domestic violence meetings, etc. So, yes, he was a tormented, complicated person and very flawed like so many of us. He was apparently sexually abused as a young guy in NYC by powerful men so maybe he caring that around. He did a lot of good things too, was an animal rights advocate, etc. Our lives are made up of many moments and his DV one was horrible but there was a lot of good there too it would seem based on what his other wives and friends said about him. I look to see if someone tried to change and it appears that he did.

Although it's none of our business, I would love to know what happened between David and Lynn as they seem so well suited together. They toured together, sang together, did shows, movies, and music videos together. They were both very talented people.
