Store your yeast in the freezer. I’ve used yeast that had an expiration date that passed two years prior to using it and my bread raise had no problem. I learned this years ago and alway freeze my yeast.
Trying it now. They came out looking great. I changed it up a little, spritzed sesame oil on top and added sesame seeds before cooking. Can’t wait to taste them with Sloppy Joes tonight.
Good afternoon ma'am. I just happened across this video yesterday and decided to give it a try. I must say that these buns are the best tasting buns that our family has ever had. We will be making more next weekend for sure, and I'm sure many more after that. Thank you very much and have a day!
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉hi 👋 hhhhi 👋 ☺️ awesome Wonderful WONDER-RECIPES 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤butyyyful and beautifully beautiful . I ❤️ them and you .thank you for sharing your Wonderful WONDER-RECIPES.. Watching your channel videos from Trinidad and Tobago W.I 🇹🇹 ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Looks great! I will have to try your recipe. I tried another recipe for hamburger buns and the taste was wonderful except it puffed up so much it was hard to take a bite. Yours looks good too but more like a normal hamburger bun.
Hi Sarah! I know I'm late to the game but I just came across your bun video here. I am really excited to make these buns for my family but I do have a question. Could I please get your recipe for your sloppy joes? Everything looked SO good that I really want to try your recipe if you are willing to share it. Lol I loved your video. You do a great job of teaching folks about making hotdog and hamburger buns.
I just found your channel. I cant wait to try these. Making them right now. Can you do a video with your sloppy joe recipe. I know you mentioned what but to have the actual recipe would be so great. Or if you want to add it here and tag me is great too. Thank you. I followed your channel. Cant wait to see more awesome videos. Yall are so sweet.
Delicious!! So much better than a store bought hit dog bun. Although, I need to learn how big to make them! Mine were the right length, but super puffy. Thanks for sharing, Sarah!
This is very different when not adding sugar to the yeast and adding the salt in the yeast. I want to make buns so I’ll try it. But I hope to have soft buns. I made buns before and they were a bit too firm.
I tried to do this before seeing your way of doing it. I followed a recipe on-line but for some reason they were not soft like hamburger and hotdog buns should be. I haven't quite finished watching your video yet but will soon. Thanks for sharing this.
Good luck! I hope the next try works out for you! I've been baking so bread a lot more frequently, and the repeat practice has really improved my results!
hi this is Sue, as a woman who has been making bread for many years, you need to add at least a tablespoon of sugar to feed your yeast.. At the 10 minute mark you should have a good inch of foam. Salt should be added with your flour, it can kill your yeast. NEVER, NEVER go above #2 on your stand mixer it will burn your motor out fast, You should also put alittle oil on all of that ball of dough, and put it in the oven with the proofing setting or just the light, with a bread pan filled with boiling hot water, to help with the rise and and hour and a half is plenty of time to let it rise. When it has risen, you don't need to kneed it again, just punch it down and do what ever your going to do with it, eg. buns, loaves, etc. You need a scale to you can weigh out equal amouts, l now hamburger buns for us are 85 grams. and hotdog buns are 75 grams. and a loaf of bread is 400 and for a large loaf 800 grams. A hint, when forming your buns, let them rest for 10 minutes before smushing them.
Almost every rubber spatula head will pop off the wooden handle and, voila!, dough scraper. Also, investing in a stainless steel bench scraper is a must.
Anyone who actually tried to make these, please comment for the rest of us. Awaiting replies..did anyone actually make these and would you recommend? Also, I'm poor, I don't own the fancy mixer just my hands and wooden spoon.
I’d also add sugar to the yeast and warm water, hers sitting for 10 minutes barely had and foam on it because she didn’t add sugar to feed the yeast the foam should have been about an inch or more thick sitting for 10 minutes
certainly hope that viewers realize that it's just high speed filming you are doing and you aren't really mixing that dough on such a high speed...speed 2 is max speed for making bread doughs
It makes me cringe when people crack eggs in the side of the bowl and then put it directly into the mix. Great way for your guests or family to chew on an egg shell.
Absolutely AMAZING that you still work with the imperial measuring system. Your 'one cup of flour' is totally different than the same cup in someone else house. As a matter of fact, I would bet a cup of flour varies as much as 10 grams in YOUR house. Get with the 21st century and go digital!

Glad you enjoyed them! Mine always come out all different sizes too, especially when the kids want to help.
I like your hamburger & hot dogs buns recipe. How can I print them out? ❤❤
Thanks for sharing. I have been trying to make hot dog rolls and can't get it right but your recipe looks very simple I will most definitely try it
You can do it!
Look great. Missed oven temp and how long?

Try using bread flour and see if that helps
do you ever use egg wash on them?
Are they soft ?
Can I use bread flour,do I need yeast still
Yes, you should still use yeast.
What is the oven temperature and how long to you bake them?
Never add salt to yeast, should be added to the flour
You can use a pizza cutter also!!
What is the difference in the finished product between using warm milk vs warm water?
Only # 2 speed ever!
Would gluten free flour work in this recipe?????

You misspelled knead. Take it easy, or maybe make a video with all of your corrections.
I like her helpful hints , calm down

You don’t need mixer to make buns or bread, just use what the good Lord gave ya
