One of the reasons why I have become Yujia's fan is that I'd like to see how well human being can play piano. She has really stretched her abilities to a very top level. Good on you, Yujia!
Watching and listening to Yuja is a sublime experience. And, certainly there are many young artists who devote their lives to classical music, however only one that I regularly hear that plays it with such precision, and spirit....and that is Yuja!
It almost brings tears to my eyes to see someone with this type of skill level and has fun with it as well. I watch this and think there may be hope for this generation that so many of us question everyday. Thank goodness for those that still love the arts that speak to our very hearts.
hello Yuja first of all I give my big big big salute to ur MASTER who taught u. OMG u r so lucky to have such an excellent Master who has dedicated himself to teach u. At the same time hats off to u for ur beautiful nd excellent play. How much u have struggled to practice nd kept up ur valuable time for this piano. My dear I hope that u may be the the "World's Fastest Piano Player". We could not see ur fingers playing on piano. Left hand u would keep so perfectly, that too without seeing the left hand side. "No words to explain". God bless u.

I'm speechless and in a good way. Human neurology is way further advanced than I thought, and I'm sorry that Chopin and Beethoven couldn't see and hear her.
Human neurology? Oh, silly. You think people virtuosic playing at this level is a product of our advanced civilization? It’s amazing, but it ain’t new. Not by centuries. We’re not advanced. You’re just late to the party.
@@duftstabkerze4236 Hmmm... you might have a point. I thought he was referring to advances in the study of human neurology allowing for players to use new skills and methods and whatnot (nootropics?) to play in ways that weren't possible before. That was a big leap on my part. Perhaps Malcolm simply meant that upon hearing this amazing playing he was stunned at what the human brain can do? And that Chopin and Beethoven would have appreciated her playing? I can agree with that last part for sure. I also think they would have praised her playing highly.
@@wellesradio "Perhaps Malcolm simply meant that upon hearing this amazing playing he was stunned at what the human brain can do?" That was basically my understanding as well. What the human brain and neurology (since ages, not since Beethoven) are able to do achieve at best. I mean, she is really stunning, out of this world. Like a foretaste on genetic engineering or robotics. I took 10 years of piano lessons, and maybe I could match 50% of her speed with same zero error rate after 1 year of hard practicing those pieces. And I still would not be able to achieve such dynamics.
@@duftstabkerze4236 Yes, I agree. And from what one reads, it was more common (though still rare) in the classical era when select children were essentially trained from the youngest age with no regards for any other education or future apart from their work as professional musicians. It makes absolutely no difference how completely ignorant of or how knowledgeable and accomplished you are of keyboard skills.....she is just WOW to everybody. I do not know her but I did date the sister of one of her keyboard teachers in 1991 when she was very young. I was told about this phenomenal kid that could listen to the teacher play a piece of complicated music and then play it back better than the teacher. We are truly blessed to live in her time and when she is absolutely at her peak. I pray that God protects her and gives her many more years.
What a privilege to just be there with her and enjoy such a performance. I even like the acoustics of the piano filling up the room. I really hate concert hall echo.
I had the incredible privilege of seeing her in person at the Hollywood bowl several years ago. It was a life changing experience to see her play first hand.
I started playing classical piano at the age of 4 and I went to music high school and college so I know a thing or two about this; and this is the most insane performance I have ever seen. I double dog dare you to find anything more impressive. Post your submission in the replies.
I watched it with awe and admiration, not knowing who this is, and thinking “yes, great pianism still exists” - then I saw who this is, in their early years... amazing
