No other dancers at that time had more energy than Hammer's dancers!! You guys changed the game and raised the bar!!
If only they did. "Raised the bar"? Are you kidding with this?
What are you talking about????
DJaySplitSecond Exactly! Hammer brought a style and energy to hip hop dance that was NON-EXISTENT. Yes dance was their out the gate but Hammer made everyone want to dance. #FromAnOG
Its obvious you've never been to the South
I've been to the South several times. And I think you missed the point that was being made.
What rap entertainer/artist at the time or prior to his arrival on the rap scene was dancing like that? No one! It even became the subject of disses amongst other artists.
We all knew Hammer couldn't rap but he could dance his butt off. In fact his whole crew was next level.
Not to mention that Hammer created a large number of dance steps that became known nation wide. We can't deny is role in hip hop dance.
I did this documentary in film school - after all these years. . I finally got over my nerves to share my work and to share a little bit of my personal life. I hope you enjoy! Giggles and laughs are welcomed
Michele Lisette Jennings aka Mello Yello i hated that hammer never mentioned the girls after 357 we knew 357 and ho frat ho but we never knew the girls who danced in the videos on the please hammer don't hurt em album and videos
Well darrell fort nice to meet you after all these years!
Michele Lisette Jennings aka Mello Yello hi sis. i loved you guys act and i just seen that your former co worker named king ho is an awesome football coach now
Yes he is a great person!
Thank you so much!
This was the era when women actually DANCED and could move to face paced music with tough choreography!!!! Not just twerk and make your booty clap!!!
Hammer had some of the best dancers.
MC Hammer paved the way for rappers receiving endorsements and becoming actors yet they called him a sellout for what they now receive millions for. The hip hop community really needs to thank Hammer his British Knight and taco Bell commercials, allowed them to feed their families and live well today.
Pumps n The Bumps is still my favorite hip hop dance routines. I still go back and watch it..
He payed his dancers well and took good care of them. If only he would have taken care of his fortune!
Jimmy Biggs that's what happens to loyal people sometimes
Blowing it on taking care of people is better than if he'd smoked it up.
As if they were his only two choices. He could have paid his people well and still put money away for his future.
He is still rich then all of us today....
Hammer ain't suffering at all... TRUST ME
Shit I'm 47 and still dancing my ass off to hammer when the DJ's play his stuff. Good stuff girl!!
Man, that dancing requires a lot of energy. Boy, did Hammer demand a lot of energy. He was a good, protective father figure, too. Good to hear that.
Yes it did. I ran 6 miles a day to keep my Stamina up!
😍😍😍 Back when you could rock the stage fully clothed!
Right!!!! I wouldn't perform in a Bikini!!!! You got it..
You were killing it in that practice clip at the beginning of this video. No one dances like that now. All these girls do is twerk.
I miss those days in hip-hop...Hammer shows used to be off the damn meter!
Ben Real ..lol. Yes, off the rictor scale! I lost about 10 pounds (was already a size 5!) it seemed when I went to one of his shows! I could not stop dancing. Yes, at my seat! Powerful musical energy!😍🎶🎼😍🤸🏾
Yasss
Ben Real , 🗣They 'SURE' DID!! 😎😄
You guys were awesome. You all started a style of dance that is still being duplicated today. You were trailblazers.
Blessings to Brother Hammer, A true man of integrity and respect.
Hammer took care of his dancers and all the people that came along wit the fame...he lost a lot of money but I haven't herd a bad word about him abusing anyone. If so point me in that direction. Something I didn't know about MC Hammer. He had integrity.
Mark Herron 2 LEGIT 2 QUIT!!
Mark Herron im 38.
1980’ and1990’s hip was at its peak. w
e didn’t know how good we had it. back in those they we had so many heavy hitters. took it for granted. now, rap and hip hop PALES in comparison. when i go through my music i suprised at how many SUPER STARS there were. This w
as also before Michael Jackson pediphile scandal. M.C. HAMMER WAS AT THE FOR FRONT!!
Mark Herron Me neither, but that girl he was grinding on from the "Pumps and the Bump" video didn't look like she wanted his man parts grinding on her at all 😆
iREZARECT'EM right that makes him bad . shut up

to:
Michele Lisette Jennings aka Mello Yello:
You said two dancers got sexy outfits for the “Pumps And A Bump” video. Are you talking about the Black dresses with the number 8 on it?
Hammer did have the best choreography and dancers period!😉
Yep, Hammers dancers were good.
dang! she's still looking good after all these yrs!
Awww! Thank you!
Yvw lisette! You just made a old man's day frfr. ...
I am glad!!!!
dr. jones t thought the same too! With that voice she should have a radio show!
Aww.. lets pray for that!!!! Thank you
i love all the female mc hammer dancers from 357 to to legit to quit😄😄😄
were you one of the 2 female dancers in his pumps and a bump and don't stop performances on arsenio and mtv?
yep
Kiyonta Gonzales Those 2 women are the sexiest dancers..wow
POLITICATELEVISION yoooooo why was I just abt to ask thatt... I like like that may have been doing the choreography for it lokey
listen I know you director I am too if you're in LA and you did the pumps and the bumps video you have to upload a video teaching that choreography. to me that is some of the hardest and most difficult choreography I've ever seen and it just looks so dope. I'll film it and everything for free you just have to do that for the culture
Hammer and Bobby Brown had the best dancers.Did you ever dance with Bobby?
I didn't dance for Bobby but I knew his dancers
nick baker BBD and HAMMER dancers were the best to me
Heart & Soul (Bobby Browns Dancers)
Michele Lisette Jennings aka Mello Yello Y'all are the best ever!

What a Classy, Elegant, Talented and Extremely Beautiful Woman. Take Note Young Ladies..
When I was a teenager I use to dance around the house to Can’t Touch This. I even had biker shorts; everyone had them back then😀 But.. My grandmother took it a step further, and actually got a seamstress to make me some Hammer pants . The 90's were crunk .
Yolanda Howard 😂😂😂 girl yes!!! Dancing in the 90's, especially to Hammer was a full blown workout. Lol, we used to get it in!!!

Yolanda Howard that's what I'm talking bout, a Grandmother who approved 'the Mc Hammer movement', by sewing her baby some Hammer dance pants, awesome.......we had some real good ole days in the 70's, 80''s and 90's!
Yolanda Howard with the creepers (Shoes) 😂😭
Yolanda Howard I tried to do on my ganny's machine but she had too much pins and I'm afraid if I can get stuck on all if them. LOl!😆
My grandmother bought me the VHS that had all the MC Hammer videos on it, honey I had y'all moves down pact, love love love y'all you are so beautiful and talented this was refreshing to watch.... I still listen to those songs today, pure talent pure talent.....
Sherika Johnson I know people are sick of me saying this, but MC HAMMER and his dancers should put out a workout dvd and modify some of the moves for slower movers. Sell Hammer time T shirts.
MC HAMMER DANCERS WAS STRAIIIIIGHT FIRE!!!!! ❤ ❤
I loved MC Hammer. Honestly when I was very young, around 8-9, I remember saying I wanted to be an MC Hammer dancer when I grew up. Being 36 now....I still get very excited to see his videos from back in the day. He was so on top back then and would have like 100 people on stage, lol. Everyone had a job😁
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this video👍. I was 17 yrs old remember attending the MC Hammer concert when they came to New Zealand back in 1991. Greatest show I ever seen thanks for the memories ❤

I saw Hammer 2 times in Dallas and till this day that's the best onstage performance I've ever seen. The dancers were incredible no one has topped the energy yes you and your coworkers should be very proud.
Couldn't agree more!
Thank you for sharing I saw Hammer many times. Glad you were part of such a fun time to be alive
Wow! This took me way back. I remember when he had some recruiters in Texas looking for dancers for his tour as well. My cousin and I were in a dance group and were quite popular. We were actually selected but unfortunately because we were still in high school our parents did not allow us to take that "Golden Opportunity". So it feels really great to not only hear but also see someone with a similar story that made it. Thanks Michele for sharing!
Mrs Bey I kind of not blaming your parents be cause it's a very hard and dirt business people will take advantage of you, including young people. not everyone is not Jackson matreial at that time it was just sex sex and hookerizing g sex. my dad always talk stupid in certain times but I had to realize that learning to be faithful and listening is the best important key.
Are u lightskinned?
Simply gorgeous...great job on documentary
You remind me of Vesta!!
joy fitzgerald Spot on comparison!
She sure does ...both beautiful ladies
True true
Who is vesta
All_mine123 Vesta was a backup singer for Chaka Khan (was actually known to sing while Chaka was to drunk/high to sing so it was sometimes Vestas voice the audience unknowingly heard), then became a solo singer. Died 2011 from Heart Disease.
This is a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing!
