Thay Phap Dung, please do not apologize for your wonderful stories, humorous and otherwise. That's what makes you special. And if you throw in some Dharma that's great! I hope you are not seriously being criticized, because who you are in your way of giving talks is very appealing, and I would not want you to change. When you talk and tell stories I can definitely relax and relate, and I always smile. Thank you for being who you are! I wish I could be there for the talks but it's too far away, but I am grateful that the plum village of monasteries are sharing the videos on RUclips!

I am of the same heart & mind. Dharma lives through you & your stories teach because you are so splendidly YOU. Your humor in the sangha is not frivolous, rather focused and purposeful. This talk is very helpful. Especially how you translate the sutra! Living well now is the direction in which our lives will lean. Thank you dear Thay!

Br. Phap Dung, I LOVE your storytelling. You use your entire body, not only your words. For me this is the best way to learn. ❤ My granddad was a great storyteller and he would tell and act the story and all of us kids were sitting on the floor around him listening and watching. 😊 Nothing in the entire world makes you feel so connected to someone who tells a story with their words, mind AND body putting all their focus into it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful human being that you are. 🙏🏽🪷

    Ven. Brother Phap,
I love to listen to your Dhamma talks. You have such a knack of starting each talk with a sprinkling of jokes to draw us in to your talk. Then you dive into heavier concepts
! You make it very enjoyable, and easy to thank you! understand!

Thank You Br Phap Dung. This talk was so informative and helpful. I see so much of Thay in you when you tell your stories please don’t change. Thay always shared his personal experiences, had a wonderful sense of humor, and still got the point across as do you. Anyone can read Sutra’s from a book, but that’s just intellectual. I have watched almost every talk of yours online and it’s obvious that you “taste the mango” by sharing your own insights. The fact that you also make people laugh as well brings happiness along with the Dharma! I bow with gratitude and wish everyone in our tradition a joyful safe holiday season and a happy and healthy new year🙏.

Thank you for all your sharing, Thầy Pháp Dung. I can read the dharma from books myself, but the way you share your stories are much more effective to transmit the messages than reading the books. I benefit a lot from your living dharma. I always search for your talks to listen to again and again. 🙏🙏🙏

Lay practitioner who is new to the practice in GA. If you see this, Brother, I am watching all your videos! I can really relate to your dharma talks. Thank you for your words. I imagine this is why nobles gave the begging monks money for prayers in the Buddha’s time. Cheers, TJN

I agree we love you the way you are and your way of story telling, your jokes, especially sometimes you make fun of life a monk, referring to "having nothing to do on Friday nights", etc I think that is Darma, teaching us in your sense of humor making even fun of a monk's life. I like the way you tell stories or talk about other monks or life in Plum village as an ordinary people, that is so telling

Thay Phap Dung: I love to see a book by you, about your life story , especially what was the transition from giving up your dream of Becoming an architect to a monk and what you went through this transition, the mourning of your dreams, was there any desire to "escape" the monk life and go back, the struggle of staying especially through the depression and crying nights, what was the sadness about. In fact I hope to see a book about every monk in Plum village how they ended up becoming a monk , was it easy? Thanks, I am just starting this video, but I have listened to you before and enjoy listening to you.
