Ronald's Actor Reviews IMO Earliest Actors: Strange and hard to understand King Moody: Probably every now and then the creepiest. Squire Fridell: Even I did not grow up with him, he's nice enough and the best I can see is the voice for the animated Ronald in McTreasure Island video which has a design on Ronald that is not as creepy, more HANDSOME design. Looking more close to a regular human. I really wish McDonald's could've noticed that and decided on those designs for their future products if they didn't want to freak anyone out. Jack Doepke: Weird or freaky eye looks from time to time BUT on the other hand is probably the most SOFT SPOKEN Ronald I've ever heard in the US. Being soft spoken is a very important quality to me for someone I'd want to be around because LOUD voices badly hurt my ears and give me a jump scare when coming in talking out of no where. David Hussey: Technically the one I grew up with most of my childhood and is a cool guy when looking at him now.
I think the more cursed concept is that children found this legitimately appealing back in the day. Even I, almost 32, used to think nothing of this character and the commercials when I was younger.
Hi. Nice video of the various TV Ronalds. The actors are correct along with their commercials. Yes, Brad Lennon is a Ronald, but I don’t think he ever filmed a TV commercial. The Ronald in the last commercial is actually David Hussey, not Brad. Thought you’d like to know. Filming in McDonaldland.
I think people get freaked out by clowns because they seem at times to be inappropriately happy. Not that they're happy about inappropriate things, but can you see someone riding to work on the bus silently laughing to themselves? Now imagine that person covered in makeup wearing a ridiculous wig. It all has a real Buffalo Bill vibe to it.
But the Willard Scott Ronald McDonald is the original Ronald McDonald with stripes, a cup for a nose, a food tray hat is a part of the evolution of Ronald McDonald.
Garfields "Binki" "HEY KIDS!!!" obviously relates to Ronald McDonalds. I thought him a clown. Ronald McDonald was a serious Scottsman who founded the resturant.

The two Ronald McDonalds that I remember growing up as a kid were King Moody and Squire Fridell but for me the ones I remember the most are the squire Fridell commercials they just bring back so many memories
Squire Fridell is the first Ronald I can remember.
Same

Squire Fridel the one I grew up with seemed the most down to Earth and kid friendly of the group.
I remember Fridell's Ronald, and I noticed straight away when they brought in his replacement.
It traumatized me!
WHO WAS THAT CLOWN???

*Me:* punch em, kick em, throw em out of a building!
*Ronald falling:* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

These old McDonalds commercials are cursed and terrifying
Indeed. They're seriously creepy 😨
Why did you watch it then😂
@deez4265 But if it’s creepy to them then why watch it that’s like watching a scary movie knowing it’s Gonna be scary yet you still watch it

RIP Emer Prevost
You picked very interesting choices haha
I think we all agree Squire Fridell is the one we associate to our childhood in the 80s

Was your example a refrence to joker?
You’re missing a Ronald McDonald. It’s Willard Scott Ronald McDonald with strips, a cup for a nose, a food tray hat.
He was part of the Joy Boys comedy team on WRC AM with his partner Ed Walker who did the voice overs on those commercials.
What do you mean?
I know. I was going to but I wanted to use a depiction where Scott used the current Ronald outfit to keep things consistent.
