Great Content. Really disheartening that they are less on content on trobleshooting these codes P0011, P0012- P0017. So basically after replacing the camshaft with new one; even though its still leaked it worked and trouble code is off right? Before the fix, did you have bad engine sounds alongside the trouble code, and drivability problem, were you losing oil pressure. Chasing same problem. Will have being better if you have measured the cam wear on the new one against the old ones with a measuring tool perhaps. Thanks Again for the video.
The car has still been driving fine since the repair. It may have just been that the prior actuator wasn't in the "correct" orientation. I didn't have any driveability concerns after the initial rebuild, the code popped up is why I had a concern to try and diagnose. I did try and measure the cam journal but my calipers were crapping out so I didnt record that piece. Hopefully something helped you out. Good luck.
@@elvrolet Yes it did; especially how the journal may be leaking but still worked and car wouldn't have any problem. When you measured the journals did you find any significant different of wear in-between ?

did it came back? mine also have p0012 but it rattles when the vvt kicks in. though i havent fixed anything i dont know where to start
As far as I know it had no further troubles. I drove it for a few days before moving on to owner. Havent heard anything back either way.
