Honestly all I really want is more friendship moments between the band. I don’t think we have any scene where they’re just hanging out and getting to know each other. How much does Julie know about the boys? Does she know how Reggie and Alex had it like at home? Does she know Alex is gay? And a bunch of other stuff like that. I just want some more scenes of them hanging out and being friends!

Yes! I’m really happy I’m not the only one thinking this, I want them to be friends, not just a band and I can’t really think of a moment in the series that showcases that except for when it comes to Luke and Julie. What about the other guys, aren’t they friend with Julie too? I really hope we get more backstories too for everyone, like Caleb, Willie, Reggie, Alex and their parents. Oh and definitely more Alex and Willie moments. And just more Reggie cause I love him.
I just thought if this but the reason Reggie loves Ray so much could probably be because he wasn’t very close to his parents, Luke said that his parents were close to divorce so maybe he didn’t get much attention and is kind of living through what he wanted with them but with Ray. Idk if anything I said just made sense...

I get this comment, but it boils down to what the actors agree on and are comfortable with since there have been a lot of instances in movies and shows where actors kiss someone who is way younger or older than them. It’s a profession so the actors and people behind the show have to think about these things.

When they sing Edge of Great, Julie is basically ignoring Luke (his eyes) the whole song, then during the bridge Luke comes in with that AMAZING guitar solo. I was wondering, was that solo meant to be improvised? Like, in the show, during the song, did Luke make up that solo in the moment to get Julie's attention during the bridge? I ask because, 1) that would be beautiful and poetic, 2) by Luke's body language and face during that scene, it seems that Luke is trying to get Julie to look at him because she had been avoiding eye contact with him the whole song. And also, the smile he has when she finally does is just UGHHHH...I'm in love Charlie is amazing. Okay, thank to for coming to my TED Talk.
Yeah it was confirmed that Charlie added that part because initially Luke was just supposed to stand there but Charlie told Kenny he didn't think that sounded like Luke at all, on the contrary. So he proposed that idea and Kenny loved it.

I would love to see Reggie's and Alex's solos! Luke and Julie had their solos ( Wake Up ; Unsaid Emily ). As well as exploring their relationships with their parents! Seeing as family/moms were a main theme in season 1.

I like how Kenny and Maddie answered the question about a juke kiss. I feel like there’s a lot of pressure on producers of tv shows to just have two characters kiss as soon as possible and rush into things without the characters even really having an emotional connection. And for a lot of different reasons, I think that Juke is better as a soulmate/deeper connection type relationship that stays innocent and very emotionally vulnerable.

And I love how Kenny explores the relationships without something more physical. In HSW we hardly saw Troy and Gabriella kissing. The same in Descendants. And in Julie and the Phantoms, the chemistry between Julie/Luke and alex/willie is so sweet, deep and beautiful to see. It’s just it, don’t really think that need a kiss to confirm that the really care for each other!

My theory is as willy told the boys that caleb want them cause they are strong and the only ghosts that don't need caleb's help to appear to humans (tho the boys only appear to Julie and while performing with her to other humans )that's a huge thing. When they hug Julie they become so strong that now they can touch humans or maybe appear to them in season 2 whenever they want! On the other hand caleb raided nicks body in order to take the boys with him again!
I agree Abdul I do really think the reason why Caleb took over Nicks body was so that he can keep tabs on Julie and the Luke Alex and Reggie so that he can have the right moment to take them 3 boys back by force because Alex Luke and Reggie will never want to leave Julie again

In the original tv serie (Brazilian version), the bad guy found a way to take the ghosts again through Julie.
He interfered in Julie’s life in a way that she thought were the ghosts doing this to her. Also, he put Julie’s life in risk, convincing the guys to go with him.
Maybe something similar can happen now.

I get what Maddison is saying but there are moments, in the first season that looked like they almost wanted to kiss. Like when they dance together in Perfect Harmony even though that's a fantasy lol. If a kiss doesn't happen I think a lot of fans will be mad. I understand what they are trying to do with Luke and Julie, I think it could be so much more they ooze chemistry. I get there is an age difference with Mads and Charlie so I don't mind waiting.
I'm all for the chemistry with Luke and Julie, I want them writing more songs cause if my memory serves. Flynn told Julie she should write a song for Luke to make him feel better I really want to see that song moment. That song could be Perfect Harmony, Julie could share it with Luke and that's how she tells him.
Also, we totally need more on Alex and Reggie's background. I hope Julie goes with them like how she went with Luke to his parents. More singing from Reggie and Alex, I think Reggie should get mad at Luke for not reading his country songs like Home Is Where My Horse Is. I need a duet with Willie and Alex maybe a solo for Alex, I like more with Flynn I think Flynn could be related to Willie somehow they both wear a lock and key necklace.
Your'e right with what Flynn said, I'm really hoping for that scene to! Also it may help with what Maddison tried to say, because there's no deepest thing as writing and making a song for someone you love and in this case It's even better because it's not like she is the only one who like's music but it's a passion that they all share for it (but more Julie and Luke on this case) because more than the love they feel for each other music is what brought them together and It's just truly beautiful
I think a kiss not happening would make their relationship more intense though, because it gives them more time to strengthen their connection and feelings for each other. At this moment it seems luke and julie will just get used to the fact that they can hold hands and hug now and take advantage of that. Plus, I personally think it'd be refreshing to have a couple develop based on other things outside of a physical moment.

if we get a season two i'm honestly hoping julie and luke don't kiss. slow burns are just always better than rushed relationships!! i mean some of the best juke scenes were the ones where they had prolonged eyecontact, or giving each other looks when the other isn't looking, and we won't really get any of that if they're dating! for example, i don't know if there are any anne with an e fans in the comments, but if there are, think about how weird it would've been if anne and gilbert had kissed at the end of season one. their relationship wasn't fully fleshed out yet so it would've felt extremely rushed!

And actually... that girl kinda have a bit of similarity to Julie with the hair for example, maybe on season 2 they see Julie's mom old t-shirt of sunset curve and maybe a picture and they realized. But also It would explain more the connection she had with Boby, because when the guys left the orpheum being alive, Boby was the one who stayed and... with the girl! So he could actually know more about her mom, and that could be one of the reasons why July started \\to listen to his music

I was chilling watching the show ya know just vibing to the bomb music, minding my own business.....then Unsaid Emily comes down out of nowhere to destroy me and before you know it, I'm crying by myself in my room...my parents were very confused to say the least haha
Growing up I always knew I like girls and boys but I was still confused and often ashamed of it. Seeing an openly gay character in this show really warmed my heart. The lgbt community needs more representation and I’m so glad that this show had it. Not only is he openly gay, but we get to see the support of his friends around him and how excepting everyone is. The scene that really teared me up was at the Hollywood Ghost Club when Alex was alone while Luke and Reggie got to dance with girls and Caleb noticed and brought out two guys to dance with him. The little things like that really show how this series gave great representation and didn’t just add a gay character just for bonus points. Another thing that I noticed was the diversity of the cast, getting to see a young Hispanic girl play such a strong female role is super inspiring, we need more people of color in this industry! Amazing job to the whole cast and crew for making a magnificent series! I pray for a second season!
