The best part of this journey is put on the headphones and listen to the soothing track sound...😌😌 Journey in ICF coaches is something different than those LHB coaches..🤩. ... older days I remember the trains like kerala express not used to go via tirupati.... it touches renigunta ... but not able to identify how it used to travel via arakonam-katpadi ... can you clarify
From arrakkonam lines go to katpadi , chennai and renigunta. Trains coming from katpadi bypasses Arrakkonam to go to renigunta and does not actually touch AJJ station
If I am not mistaken, in the 70s n perhaps even early 80s, the Karnataka Kerala Exp would deviate from the NDLS-MAS line at Gudur, come to Renigunta jn & then proceed to Katpadi. The seperation of the train into the Kerala part and the Karnataka part would possibly happen at Jolarpettai and not at Katpadi. I vaguely recollect that on a return journey to NDLS either in 1977 or 1980, the Karnataka exp had to wait at Jolarpettai or Katpadi for the Kerala exp to arrive as it was running late. Night time. Once it passed Vijayawada bound northwards the train was superfast for those times, with limited number of stops. Now both Kerala and Karnataka exp have IMHO too many stops...but I know many feel that it is needed

Dear Avinash sir, if it is possible to you, you should try to cover the Jabalpur-Chanda Fort Route which passes via Gondia Jn some day. The entire route used to be narrow gauge (2'6" wide), and was converted to Broad Gauge electrified route. If you are lucky, you might find some narrow gauge structures still left standing on that route.
Alwaye is same as Bombay. Aluva is same as Mumbai. Trivandrum-Thiruvanathapuram Quilon- Kollam Cochin-Kochi Trichur-Trissur Calicut-Kozhikode Cannanore-Kannur. These are the British names changed to local language. Kerala was the first state in India to change the names to local. And the irony is most of the PA systems in kerala train stations the english version is Trivandrum only❤❤❤
