Nice. Love my optimus kerosene stoves. It's amazing how good a hundred year old stove can still burn and keep up with the newer stoves. Always good to have a backup plan for fuel. Thank you sir. Educational as usual.

I just love this stove and so much that i bought 2 of them. It might not be as robust as the MSR XGK EX but its sure good enough for expedition use. Works like a charm here in cold Sweden in the winter :)

Great stove and great idea. Around here I am having a hard time finding lamp oil. Our local Walmart carried, now you can't find it either online or actually at the store. Heck, they quit even selling the old style camping lamp oil lamps. That was why I wanted to get some lamp oil since I have several of the glass oil lamps and then the old camping style oil lamps. I need to look up one of those stoves. I have the propane/butane style survivalist stove, in fact I have a couple of them that I use on hunting trips. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting. I usually find the lamp oil by the candles or in the clearance isle

Cool video. I have a similar stove(china copy) it came with a Kerosene nozzle that you swap in for heavier fuels. It just has a larger opening than the alcohol/white gas one.

The kero jet is the smaller one

Cool man. Crown white gas prices have doubled at walmart. Equal to the increased price of coleman. Whats good is lamp oil is a seasonal product. (Walmart) Goes on clearance end of summer. Usually 75%off.

Great video. Unfortunately in my area the gallon size bottles of lamp oil are no longer available. Wal-Mart had them for less than ten dollars before the pandemic and now it's unavailable. I could potentially get some online but they are stepping thirty dollars a gallon which is just not feasible.

No because it’s a petrol stove, lamp oil is paraffin based…

No problem works with White gas, LP Gas, Gasoline, Kerosene, Diesel, Jet fuel. And lamp oil is basically kersosen.
