Thank you. I'm looking at adding a drawer below the flag to place some items. Still working through how to design that. I think I'll use your method to create the "face" for the glass.
@@TheMuzShop I was with the 82nd Airborne Division 1968-1970. Curios as what what division he was in? I'm thinking of making these for our local veterans in our town and your video is going to make a great reference for me. Thanks again, Peter
Fisher's Shop thanks Drew. This one really felt good to make. I was honored that my wife’s family asked me to make one instead of just buying one from the funeral parlor.
A very good video and you did an amazing job. As a veteran myself I appreciate your uncle and father-in-law’s service. My father recently passed and I have his flag. He served in Korea during the conflict as a marine, then did 22 years in the army and two tours to Vietnam. My wife and son are both veterans and my son recently got back from his second tour to Afghanistan. We have a long history of family in the military. I really like your version so once my shop is finally up and running I have eight of them to build. I saved your video so I have a reference. Thanks again. Ron
Thank you for this video. I am planning on making a display case for my father who was a career soldier in the Army and very recently passed away. I will use your instructions as a guide.
Hey sir I just found your video and I know it’s an older video, but I’ve got someone that lost a veteran family member and I wanted to gift them with a flag case but I don’t know the dimensions of the flag when folded. Do you perhaps have the dimensions of the box you made?
I thought I kept my drawing of the flag case but can't find it. I was lucky to have one of the flags on hand while I was making them. I google the measurements of the fold flag and they say it's 22 1/2" at the bottom and 16 1/2 " from bottom to the tip. Hope that helps. See if you can borrow the flag for the build. Sorry and thanks for watching.....
Thank you and sorry I don't have the dimensions anymore or the cases. Hopefully you can find them in another video. What I did was put the flag on a large piece of paper and traced it, then design the case around that.....Hope this helps.
@@TheMuzShop Thank you anyway, I have seen so many different sizes even on official sites. I wanted to have mine ready for my wife so it would be extra special for her.
@@franktaitano6288 Wow! Frank that would be really cool. I'm not quite sure where my uncles is because I have 5 cousin that live far from me and not sure who has it . But if you would like me to track it down I can try ..... let me know. It's was a lot easier have the flag in hand. Thank you for your services🇺🇸
@@TheMuzShop That’s wonderful you offered thank you so much. I will contact my local VA office here and see what they say once they give me their specifications I will go with that and start to build. I am inspired by your style.
@@franktaitano6288 Hope it works out for you. If you have any questions feel free to email me. themuzshop@gmail.com. Also I would love to see a pic of the end results. Happy building…..
