I think this song is much deeper, she's sort of saying that she's changed and the old her died, that's why the other dev is less dark and in a body bag. She's saying she knows that other girl better because she was her (once upon a time I loved her too.) it's interesting because in a sense she's sort of saying that even if she isn't her anymore that girl is somewhere inside and when she expresses love she's mostly saying she's protecting her from behind hurt. (Over my dead body the day she finds someone new.) it's a great song, and goes must deeper than her saying she'll just leave him, she wants him to prove himself yes but it's more than that. I get it because I've been through it.

No this is pure Dev. I saw her live at the 9.33 concert and she was honestly one of the best performers. She had a decent voice and a lot of stage-presence and she impressed me more than I thought she would. I think the pop songs were made to get her noticed and successful, and hopefully now she will make more songs like this. She's actually quite talented...you wouldn't think so, but I encourage you to give her another try :)
