Dear humanity: we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to earth. And we most certainly regret that the corps just blew up our raggedy ass fleet! Hoo rah! Thats right you mothers, run! For a brick, he flew pretty good! You just read all that in Sgt Johnson's voice, didnt you?
"Listen to me, Covenant. I am Vice Admiral Preston J. Cole commanding the human flagship, Everest. You claim to be the holy and glorious inheritors of the universe? I spit on your so-called holiness. You dare judge us unfit? After I have personally sent more than three hundred of your vainglorious ships to hell? After kicking your collective butts off Harvest - not once - but twice? From where I sit, we are the worthy inheritors. You think otherwise, you can come and try to prove me wrong." Preston J. Cole Vice Admiral
thats because the whole theme behind the original Halo was depicting the best humanity has to offer. Bravery, Cunning, Resilience, Resolve, Heroism. Its a beautiful thing to behold.
This is Halo. This is why Halo is one of the greatest series of all time. Its story goes so far in-depth to showing Human resolve and the willingness to fight and die for a greater force than your country, or your brother or family beside you, because you die for humanity as a whole. Remember Reach, Believe that the Demon of the Covenant is right beside you.
Mackenzie Braden I own and have read every single halo novel....I'm a lore junky.... Can't tell you all the dates, but I could prob tell you the dates of everything if I ever bothered reading the dates
It's gotten to the point where I know so much that my company buddy's warn others not to argue anything halo with me.... Same Irl as well I have never lost a argument about halo XD
the best Halo novel still is "Battle for Reach". The other novels are awesome, too, but nothing comes close to the first with Master Chief "growing" into his squad. Blue Team, HOO-AH!
The343freak I want a halo game that takes the free world approach, like Skyrim or Fallout. PS: Fuck Destiny. Its just a halo rip off. (Granted, it is fun.)
For all the people trying to "correct" the video when talking about the death of Chief. Please read when the video came out. And realize that this is supposed to be from someone in the UNSC's point of view, so the images are ones that we know, but what the guy is saying is based off of information that the UNSC has. They didn't know chief got into a cryo chamber in the Forward Unto Dawn. Soo yea,
Stop seeing the game as a game like COD or battlefield. See the beauty and the deepness of the story that has been imagined and the will's power of mankind
And this is the exact reason why I loved the Bungie games. I've had all my reasons for disliking Halo 4 completely discredited because some idiot would end up calling me a fanboy. Halo 4's multiplayer pretty much ripped mechanics straight from COD, Battlefield and other games; shit like the ordinance drop (aid for getting killstreaks), class loadouts and skins on your armour and guns. At least 343i admitted to their mistakes there... As for Halo's campaign. In previous games, there was always this feeling that humanity was on the losing end of the fight, each game had a quote that very much signified the "humanity isn't going to win" feeling. CE: "If the Covenant get their hands on her, they'll learn everything; weapons research, force deployment... Earth" 2: "If Truth leads the Covenant fleet to Earth, they won't stand a chance. You HAVE to stop him!" 3: "Earth is all we have left. You really trust Cortana that much?" ODST: "Unlike you, it knows what to tell those cruisers to keep them off our back..." "I think they're too busy to care. It looks like they've found what they're looking for." Wars: "Son, I have a feeling before this is all over, we're going to need every last Spartan in the fight. Report back to the ship, I can handle this." Reach: "You want to know if we're losing?" "I know we're losing. I want to know if we've lost." Each game had this constant feeling of loss, like humanity wouldn't make it out of the war alive. And then Halo 4 comes along with its invincible Spartan IVs, UNSC ship that practically dwarfs the Covenant ships and land vehicles that can house an entire platoon. So, you see why Halo 4 was a bad game? I'm not saying it was a bad game because Bungie didn't make it, I'm saying its a bad game because it went completely against the running themes through Halo and tried to draw in a "wider audience", specifically the generic-shooter crowd.
angryboy2k9 By Halo 4, humanity has won the war. The Covenant is in disarray, and as stated in Halo First Strike, the Covenant is imitative, not innovative, whereas humanity is the opposite. Humanity has had 5 years to expand and grow, without worrying about their extinction. Also the Covenant the Chief fights in Halo 4 are a splinter group, so they aren't super powerful. But I mean, I still totally see why you could dislike Halo 4. I'm not dissing your opinion or anything, mate.
angryboy2k9 I understand... But for Halo 4's credit. The war against the Covenant is over, for the most part. Having some time to adapt to their way of fighting, their technology, and intellect. Humanity simply did what all creatures do when they survive something horrible. Survive, adapt, and thrive... Honestly, you're right it doesn't keep to the themes of loss and hopelessness. But it still stays true to the the better nature of human beings. So many stories these days show that humans are nothing by squabbling, witless , turds (like on the Walking Dead and Attack on Titan). I love Halo 4 as much as the other games because, it only makes sense that humanity would eventually learn and rise again. I have no problem in believing that something worse is on the horizon, you can feel it throughout the game... and not only Didact. These "Precursors" and the Librarians Janus Key have me interested.
Mattomaton My main issue with the way they portrayed humanity after the war is that they overestimated our strength at that point. We had Earth, which was already crumbling, and a handful of survivors from other colonies floating around space. The remainder of the Home Fleet was little more than a few Frigates (which were barely a match for the Covenant's smallest ships). Our navy was smashed, and army/marines were exhausted and we had lost nearly every single Super-soldier we had available. Consider both the World Wars. Its taken countries on both sides of both conflicts many decades to recover from these wars, and they were nowhere nearly as disastrous as the genocide of the Covenant. Okay granted we had the support of the Elites. Or should I say, the Arbiter. The Elites only allied with us to stop the Covenant Loyalists and get revenge on the Brutes, and most (such as the Shipmaster) pretty much hated humanity as suggested by him saying "if it were not for the Arbiter's council, I would have glassed your entire planet". We would not have received much, if any, support from the Elites that could be of use. The Engineers are smart and good technicians, but even they need the matter necessary to create things. I doubt humanity would be able to pull resources out of their ass quite so easily. Technology is a different matter and would require a lot of scientific experiments, which the Engineers may have been useful for. The recent comics and such suggest that we are allied, or at least neutral, with the Brutes. This makes absolutely no sense since the Brutes were constantly depicted as bloodthirsty tribal beasts who would gladly eat their own allies let alone an enemy they've been fighting for 30 years. Sorry for ranting but I believe that 343i and the writers of the recent books/comics are going in a completely wrong direction with this. They are not showing humanity as "survive, adapt, thrive", they are making it seem like the war was little more than an inconvenience and that we could have easily won it if we put in the effort. I just can't believe that THIS is the Halo Universe now. It seems too far-fetched that humanity has managed to recover so quickly, and not just that but also become the central species that all others bow down to (yes, the comics depict that when they mediate a truce between the Brutes and Elites, both of whom could kick humanity's ass easily enough). I loved Halo because it differed from most sci-fi franchises in that it showed humanity as a WEAK race that refused to die out. Now its becoming a more generic sci-fi in that we're the top-dogs who shouldn't be fucked with.
angryboy2k9 It's interesting to say that you loved Halo because it was different in that humans are weak and we refused to die. That's what most generic sci-fi franchises are about now... Humanity on the brink of extinction, we're fighting back, we win, yada yada yada. Whether this was influenced by Halo is anyone's guess. Yes, 343i are portraying the humans as the new powerful species in the galaxy, but I think this is justified through the lore that we've been given. To 343i's credit they've given more thought to the lore than Bungie (look what Bungie did with Halo Reach... I'm still a bit mad with that). Humanity's been fighting a REALLY long war, to the brink of extinction with inferior technology. Now, with reverse-engineered forerunner technology and the Covenant's lack of San Shyuum support we've really tipped the scales. This era is all about exploring what humanity would do in power. Would it seek revenge? Peace? But of course, there are other factors that could explain humanity's rapid recovery. Things 100,000 years old... Yes, I'm talking about Forerunners and Precursors, because whether you like it or not they have a very real effect on the way the galaxy is run in this time. Some people explain the Master Chief's disappearance because of his geas planted by the Librarian. The Librarian was hell bent on making humanity the next in line for the Mantle (maybe Precursors thought this too) so maybe she planted some of the ideas for humanity's armor, weapons, etc. My point is, it's no longer about surviving and adapting. I think it's a step in the right direction because it opens doors for more themes to be explored.
***** And you know what many countries led too: more wars. The bloodiest was WW2 of course. You read a bit of Jean Jaques Rousseau. He has good points about humanity and countries
Lol. Americans be like " The UN will never achieve New World Order." Shut the fuck up with your patriotism is my response. The planet is more important than 9,147,593 km^2 of land.
+HUNT3R can we call guilty spark a light bulb with a laser beam? Spark is a forerunner ball with a blinking eye and a laser beam. I know the Halo series. From halo wars until halo 3 "end of halo 3"
"Helljumper, Helljumper, where you been? Feet first into hell and back again! When I die please bury me deep! Place an MA5 down by my feet! Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear! Just pack my box with PT gear! Cuz one early morning 'bout zero-five! The ground will rumble, there'll be lightning in the sky! Don't you worry, don't come undone It's just my ghost on a PT run!" (Any true Halo fan knows what this is...) My Tribute to all those Heroes who died in battle ... in the Halo franchise and in real life.
Even though this is old, I still had tears welling up in my eyes. A truly inspiring mythos, Halo was. I really wish the real world could be united like that.
***** i agree it was such an awesome moment one spartan against a whole covenent army and he sacrifices himself to save his team, such an awesome book.
Sadly, not many people are as into the lore as we are. I can think of two people, not including myself, who actually pay attention to the lore in such depths that made this video possible, nearly everyone else is only in it for the shooter elements.
angryboy2k9 i cnt deny i am not into the books or the other lore but i do love to research what happened before reach and halo wars. could never figure it out and thats why i love this francise so much! its a whole universe of knowledge just in the games! my only problem is im not buying a shitty xbox1 just for new halo games, too much of an ask in my eyes!
clay haislip No, because I own the books, and it isn't even hard to figure out how the flood infects people. They're parasites. Parasites exist in the real world too, you know.
I like to think that noble six's helmet is something of a local landmark for the reavians, but they never did anything to disturb it or the ground it sat on out of respect. I mean, something like that doesn't just go unnoticed for 30 years, right?
@@Destroyer-kr4hm Spartan program is public in the Halo universe now, its no longer secret as it was. Reach takes place decades after the war so im pretty sure sixes helmet remains there as a sign of respect for those fallen during reach
The Winston Churchill part always gives me goosebumps. The narrator talking from the 26th Century perspective, how the 20th and 21st centuries seem so distant to them.
I'm one of the surviving members of LBOGaming it's so fun to come back and just experience the pure nostalgia of my youth recorded even better is most of it is with someone I still consider my best friend.Limitgod lol I'm just glad this exists as an archive to everything we ever did even if I dont talk to anyone of these guys anymore
It's being read as if it was someone at the time just after the end of the war, hence why they never mentioned the Forerunners (except for the ancient ships).
I heard Spark was still alive but to me it sounded more like a small backup that went rogue, could be wrong on that. But yeah, it is like that; a character is believed to be dead at the time (despite the writer and viewers know it isn't the case) so they write it like it is the truth.
Max Diehl And in what way is CoD real? Just because CoD is placed in the current era doesn't mean it's a lot more realistic than Halo. In fact, it's not.
-Stealer-L1F3 Its closer to reality than Halo and whats your definition of "real". Depends in what category "real" was placed in. Don't get me wrong Halo has a great story line.
I can see this series as a documentary teachers would make their students watch in future history classes that nobody really pays attention to so they take out their phones (or whatever the popular tech is those days) or just sleep.
Raymond Alcantara Possibly. That is the sad truth of our world... each and every country has an immense amount of history just as interesting as any fictional lore has, and yet people do not care because its "nerdy" or some shit. Every country has its legends and its myths, and I think we should all take pride in that, even if you aren't exactly a nationalist.
It makes me kind of sad to think about that though. This being showed to schoolchildren on the day of the war's end to commemorate the sacrifice of those who fought. And yet, these children, not paying attention, probably wouldn't be alive without it. Some may never had been conceived, or some might even have been killed. It sucks, but that's what Halo's about, right? All those feels.
This video shows why halo is better than CoD. Halo has way more back story and way more meaning than CoD. Halo is a fight for your species survival. A fight where everyone's lost someone to the bad guys. A fight with more emotion than anything I've seen in cod. Literally what does CoD do that's even close to halos accomplishments... I don't see any of gods own anit-son of a bitch machines in cod or 66 tons of HE spewin DEEE-VINE INTERVENTION. Halo also has the best quotes ever
CoD: Maybe, just maybe you get attached to the main characters, and you're like "Nooo, Harper." when they die. Halo: You bawl when one of the fucking NPCs die. I mean, that's just me.
Chance Reroma now you see I never cry when a friendly NPC dies... Even Johnson... But usually I feel bad because the marines in halo kind of instill a sense of responsibility in me. Not only that but the lore makes there deaths so hard to stand for me... In halo I vowed to save any marines I can and I usually do a good job.... Untill I give one a rocket and we get into close quarters.... Then they all die because some fuckwit decided he wanted to be usefull
I agree halo so fucking deep man. In CoD the only one I had the feels for was MW3. And that was only 2 scenes lol. But halo never fails to give me dem feels
But cod is more realistic everything u just watched is made up n scripted get a life cod is the best game for multi player n competitive get to learn facts not made up shit u fuck
This video and the incredible stories of courage and willpower from the UNSC's heroes will forever live on in my heart and the hearts of all Halo fans. Long live Halo, and long live Master Chief.
Outstanding, but I would have liked to see John painted in a more accurate light. His props were good, but in this story, he as a character embodies the very essence of what it means to never quit, with zero concern for his own well being. Time and time again in the stories, not just in the games, he places everyone else before himself and vehemently pursues the end of conflict. One of the first things he ever said to Halsey was the he wins. He ALWAYS wins. No matter what, no matter how, he will win. Superb character in a great story.
but then again that is what it means to be a spartan be it ORION 2 or 3 they were born to never quit from a fight never flinch in the face of death never fail even one mission spartans would gladly trade thei'r own lives for the lives of UNSC soldiers or civillians even if one spartan meant more to the war than a battallion of marines thats what they would do they would sacrifice they would stand strong they would prevail and eventually win you know when you think about it the old "spartans never die" saying is more than just troop morale booster its one phrase embodies the sacrifices of every spartan sacrifices that allowed humanity to win the war against the covenant the flood and perhaps will win a war against the didact and his prometheans in the reclaimer saga
Even if it's just for a video game that was an amazing eulogy for the heroes of the war and history of the UNSC.With things like this in the game on solo play it's amazing that some people still wonder why halo in all its forms is the very best of the best of the all time top ranking video games in current history.
This is truly amazing. Great job. If halo was a movie, you would be able to use it for projects about heroes, MC could be your hero, and this would be taken seriously by ignorant people that think that whoever plays and follows halo have no life. They are completely wrong. Just because it isn't something serious, like a movie, halo is an inspiring series that has a real story with great figures. This is better than any movie that I have seen, and it should be seen that way: not just another stupid video game to distract you.
Halo lore is sad, but I'm kinda bummed that the REAL covenant is gone, like halo was always about the crushing odds against humanity but still having that spark of hope.
but being stronger in brains and feeling more like you are a real spartan that can make a difference, now its just prometheans spawn and it takes far too many unsatisfying shots to kill them. You feel weak
Even with things changing, the past lives on and i love visiting it once in awhile. The greatest way to start a story will always be "Dear Humanity...."
I like bunnies lore alot better (mainly due to the spartan 4 basically wing the equivalent of power Rangers) but bungie had contunity errors mainly with the spartan 2 count and when first encounters happened with specific species of the covenant. Why 343 is more consistent they feel outrageous to me with what they have done with the spartan 4s
Bungie wasn't exactly consistent either. To see how bad it was just read Fall of Reach and then play Reach. Halo 1,2,3/ODST were much more consistent with the books. 343i just shat over all the ground work put in place by the first 6 books - they then proceed to put all the story in the new books as an excuse to have piss pore stories in the games.
Bungie may have messed up with Destiny but they did a great job with Halo. 343 is doing well, too. I imagine Halo will be like Star Wars in the future with many fans around the world that can enjoy the various mediums Halo has been translated into.
Just for those wondering, after the events of Halo Wars, without a slipspace drive to carry them home, the Spirit of Fire, to this day in the Halo universe, still drifts through space without any means of getting back to human civilization. The Infinity was dispatched to recover the legendary ship and its crew somewhere in the universe. However, they would only find a ship filled with remnants of the Flood that managed to reside in the ship even after Forge's sacrifice. Had the Spirit returned to human civilization, they could've informed humanity about the Flood as they were the first human contact in the Human-Covenant war. Most likely the crew is still in cryosleep so they're not all infected by the Flood. However, that was in the 2530s. The year is currently 2557-2558.
The reason I love Halo so much, is because not only is it a great game, with classic music overtures, and moving characters; it’s the fact I truly believe in five hundred years Humanity could become what the UNSC is.
@@rubenlopez3364// Jesus Fuck... I was so confused when this notification pop up. Halo 5 (campaign) was pretty awful, yes. Hahaha. But now I'm hopeful for Halo Infinite.
It is inevitable, or very likely that we will make hostile alien contact at some point in our species existence. We live in a highly habitable "perfect" circumstances planet which surely would be desirable to all carbon based life forms capable of finding it. At some point in the future we will likely have to fight for our right to live on this planet, the only question is- when that time comes, will we be ready? A time to end all interspecies conflict and focus on saving our planet and our race. The enemy will likely be way more advanced and have a military far more dedicated than the likes we have ever seen. I think it is important to consider this now, while we can before it is too late. And billions of worth full human lives are wasted in the first days of that war. One government, one people, one goal, unity in the name of survival.
Carbon based, it works for us. Thats very true. Though the scary thing about reality is that we know little, we know little of existence and its function. There could possibly be a race of creatures who do not need what we need to live. Not only that, but as much as it comforts our pride. We may not be the ones fighting for a noble cause like the survival of our species in the future to come. It may be us that's the covenant, though only time will tell and through time we will face countless "anomalies" that defy our understanding of the world. Hell as far as we know, we could be in a situation like that of dead space. The last intelligent species, unaware of the dark secret over why humans seem to be alone in the universe.
ECH0550 Well, at least they're improving with the Halo 5 beta receiving very positive and helpful feedback on the multiplayer aspect of the game. Plus the set up they have for Halo 5's story is really interesting. ONI Spartan Agent Locke and the Arbiter have to look for the Chief. Master Chief has possibly gone AWOL and may be trying to find a way to get Cortana back. Catherine Halsey, creator of the Spartan Program, has sided with what little remains of the Covenant and wants revenge against the UNSC. This should be pretty f-ing good.
Dennis Claros i never said that they couldnt recover from halo 4. i knew it would be very difficult, but they could do it. i didnt play the beta but heard very good things about it. im very optimistic about this game. the franchise lives or dies with this game.
ECH0550 I know the feeling :) I think 343 takes this more seriously than Bungie. I mean, they really wanna make this franchise last. The question is whether they know how to...
Halo 5 took a giant shit on the halo universe... Thanks for ruining it, 343!Nothing like fighting an indentical boss 13 times in a row and calling it original..
I've read the original books, what is that you point to? What is there to find in the books to explain a shitty boss that you have to defeat 10 times? First they're like: "Now you're going to fight the Warden." And you're like "cool!", later in the game they say "Now you're going to fight him three at at the same time! Take that!", you're like "Really?" Even later in the game they say "Here comes six Wardens, see if you can handle that!" And at this point I say "fuck this 343, this sucked". How fucking exciting is it to fight against the Warden?
Specter US NAVY SEALS yea if that happens we will need ftl capabilities which I can't see happening within the next 2 century's... Plus we will all be dead
This video is flawless when it comes to hitting me in the emotions. To see all of the sacrifices over again in one go sure hits hard. Despite it being fiction, it still represents a remarkable trait that we, as a species, possess. Like you said Alex, the ideal of a united human force is one worth fighting for, but I hope the day we all unite under the same banner is not marred by an unspeakable tragedy which pushed us to said unity. My heart says it is a simple matter, but my mind knows better.
I don't know why but the last halo game that's campaign was truly fun for me was halo 3. Reach to me was a good game and i liked the ending, but i just didn't as feel good fighting as noble six than master chief, just the feeling of being, well... him. I know that's not a good explanation but i can't say better and i just felt better playing the unfolding story-line of halo and not really knowing where it's going, and as i'd read the lore i knew what happened to reach, but i still liked what they did with it. Basically i'm saying I prefer playing as the infamous and (silently) charismatic master chief to the still good noble six. Also i liked watching my friends go around as hulking elites. :D Yes that was an accidental rant.
well then you should play halo 4. It is awesome. The story is (in my opinion) much better than the story in halo 3. And not to talk about the gameplay and everything else. For me, it is the best halo game ever
carlos faurby i have played it and i don't know why but for me it felt the same as reach. good, but just not the same... 'fun' as i found halo 3, i don't know why i'm just weird i guess.
carlos faurby Finally someone who agrees with me. I too dont get that cryinmg about Halo 4... Lets face it, Halo 4 was fucking Badass. OK, i grant that it didnt have the big fun large scale campain vehicle battles like the previous halso but thats what big team slayer on multiplayer was for. Honestly, There was not one other think that was better in halo 3 than 4. The only reason the Halo 3 campaign FELT like it was more fun, was because you had Sgt Jognson with you, arbiter with you, you had other marines, large scale battles, vehilcle based ones it was bright and vibrant and out-doorsy. But that the plot of Halo 4 didnt really allow for that kind of game play did it? but like i said, Big team slayer on MP more than makes up for it. I think want people to stop bitching, cuz everyone always say (this game wasnt as good as the last), no matter what version we're on, or what game we're playing. everyone just says that for some reason.
ThaTurminator We're simply giving our opinions, and HALO 4 sucks ass. The multiplayer's pretty good, but it is in almost every game. The story's bad because it feels like it's not done, and you don't get attached to any of the characters, except ( MAYBE ) a little to Cortana.
Halo was bought by Microsoft to make shitty money making sequels. Not to enhance the franchise, to beat it around to death. It already has a following (strong established market) that will buy anything Halo into the future. I question anybody's judgement that says Halo 4 Multiplayer is acceptable. It sucks, but that means you've already bought the game
Halo has always been owned by MS. They created Bungie to make the games then 343 later on to oversee Bungie. Bungie and 343 are technically independent companies but they were created by MS for Halo.
Damn i missed this! Earlier last year the original halo waypoint was taken offline. I learned so much about halos universe that nobody could tell me. I want more of these made by 343 on the halo channel. Its the only way i get to watch these. So many people could get into the universe if they had access to these vids. I really recommend anyone out there to check these vids out. Excellent presentation.
Halo is not only the greatest game ever made but it honestly has the best story line. I love all scifi movies like star wars and movies like Lord Of the Rings but still, Halos storyline doesn't end, there is so much to know. It is seriously amazing. This video is truly beautiful. Halo is the best thing ever made, in my opinion.
Dear humanity: we regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to earth. And we most certainly regret that the corps just blew up our raggedy ass fleet! Hoo rah!

Hell yeah!!!!!
Its strange, its just a videogame, and yet this video makes almost me proud to be human
Jack Nelson it's because you are proud that some humans came up with such a beautiful story
thats because the whole theme behind the original Halo was depicting the best humanity has to offer.
Bravery, Cunning, Resilience, Resolve, Heroism.
Its a beautiful thing to behold.

Its more than that. Its HALO

Mackenzie Braden and this my friend is only covering the story from the games and a small amount of lore... Much more to be read

Yet it's words about us humans would still be accurate and inspiring!
This makes me want a full 2 hour mockumentary with interviews with the "veterans" of both sides. Kind of like a WWII doc
its not 2 hours but there is one
you should watch the museum of humanity ad's then
I've seen the Halo 3 ads but it would be cool if someone could do a full length version

Earth"
2: "If Truth leads the Covenant fleet to Earth, they won't stand a chance. You HAVE to stop him!"
3: "Earth is all we have left. You really trust Cortana that much?"
ODST: "Unlike you, it knows what to tell those cruisers to keep them off our back..." "I think they're too busy to care. It looks like they've found what they're looking for."
Wars: "Son, I have a feeling before this is all over, we're going to need every last Spartan in the fight. Report back to the ship, I can handle this."
Reach: "You want to know if we're losing?" "I know we're losing. I want to know if we've lost."
Each game had this constant feeling of loss, like humanity wouldn't make it out of the war alive.
Noble 6s canon last stand in Halo reach. He actually took on an army of covenant before finally being subdued.
For several days, while dying later by his wounds. His armor was never glassed as well, like so others thought (Halsey)
@@wearevenom4121 where is this stated i wanna read it

I just like the idea of Noble Six spending three days terrorising The Covenant
I have pride to being human just because of halo storys existence
Me too. I realized that these "ethnicities" are not even a product of nature. In reality we are all humans. One race.

Halo. Is more than just a game. This brings a tear to my eye.
Master Chief "sacrificing" himself isnt the right term, attempting sacrifice and surviving like a badass is more like it
As Grif put it, they wasn't evening planing on surviving. That was just an outcome of being so fucking awesome.
And this is why I love the lore of the Halo Universe. This was great.
Is it bad If I own all the books and know almost every peace of lore even the science of how flood take over their hpsts
clay haislip No, because I own the books, and it isn't even hard to figure out how the flood infects people. They're parasites. Parasites exist in the real world too, you know.
clay haislip Haha, nah you're good. I'm in the same boat myself XD
I like to think that noble six's helmet is something of a local landmark for the reavians, but they never did anything to disturb it or the ground it sat on out of respect. I mean, something like that doesn't just go unnoticed for 30 years, right?
Cool idea but I doubt ONI would just leave evidence of their top secret project of basically suicide soldiers just laying around.
@@Destroyer-kr4hm

Still watching this in 2024!! One of the best games ever made!!!
I like how in all these shorts they say Master Chief died, blah blah, but then he never really did die, just plain awesome.
It's being read as if it was someone at the time just after the end of the war, hence why they never mentioned the Forerunners (except for the ancient ships).
Well, it's just like how they said that Guilty Spark was destroyed, but he's still fuctional
I heard Spark was still alive but to me it sounded more like a small backup that went rogue, could be wrong on that.
But yeah, it is like that; a character is believed to be dead at the time (despite the writer and viewers know it isn't the case) so they write it like it is the truth.
yeah. "spartans dont die, their just mssing in action" :)
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK COD HALO FOR LIFE
* Claps * Yes.
Halo has a REAL story. I love Halo. I have all the games.
Gaiden Tears I think "REAL" might a little stretch since COD is more real than Halo. Or should i say modernly real.
It's been years since this has been released, but it still gets me sentimental.. Wonderful Halo.
same here spodoosh. same here...
SpoDoosh yea
Keyes fought 3 Covenant ships and Destoryed 2 and managed to get Away fucken BOSS
during the battle of sigmus Octanus 4 Keyes fought 4 ships destroying 2 frigates and a destroyer forcing the last ship, a carrier to retreat.
Ox7ProTotyPe wasn't it three he killed?
Draigan Fairgrieve I would check but I lost that book
WarmasterBlade I remember Keyes used the destroyers torpedoes against it, and nuked/mac blasted the frigates. And the carrier bugged out.
They also placed a tracker of Keye's ship which led the Covenant to Reach.
i miss this essence of Halo....
Anyone else want a second halo wars?
Yes. The first halo wars was sooo awesome. Halo wars is by far the best halo game in my opinion.
shawn waters nah Halo 2 anniversary is the best 1 for its graphics 2 for being able to play as arbiter and 3 for being able to dual wield weapons
Its confermed I think its on halofollower

Sucks that rookie. Although 343 did give him a shitty ending he was pretty fucking cool
lol 343 didnt let rookie died and stop blaming 343 for thier shittiness
IHype 343 didn't let Rookie die? Who did, then?
Stavland bungie...
The Beast No.. Rookie died in 2014, 2015 or 2016.
Spoiler* I think Rookie died in a hostage situation
***** Someone doesn't know what constructive criticism is. You'll understand when you mature more :3

And here we are nine years later, never forget.
This video and the incredible stories of courage and willpower from the UNSC's heroes will forever live on in my heart and the hearts of all Halo fans. Long live Halo, and long live Master Chief.
You know for the students in the Halo universe have some awesome History classes.
'The most striking feature of a hero is courage the brave and the odasity of certain death' So motivational.
Superb character in a great story.
but then again that is what it means to be a spartan be it ORION 2 or 3 they were born to never quit from a fight never flinch in the face of death never fail even one mission spartans would gladly trade thei'r own lives for the lives of UNSC soldiers or civillians even if one spartan meant more to the war than a battallion of marines thats what they would do they would sacrifice they would stand strong they would prevail and eventually win
you know when you think about it the old "spartans never die" saying is more than just troop morale booster its one phrase embodies the sacrifices of every spartan sacrifices that allowed humanity to win the war against the covenant the flood and perhaps will win a war against the didact and his prometheans in the reclaimer saga
Even if it's just for a video game that was an amazing eulogy for the heroes of the war and history of the UNSC.With things like this in the game on solo play it's amazing that some people still wonder why halo in all its forms is the very best of the best of the all time top ranking video games in current history.
+Lisa winn Call of Duty is a game. Halo is an experience.

That s true.

Halo lore is sad, but I'm kinda bummed that the REAL covenant is gone, like halo was always about the crushing odds against humanity but still having that spark of hope.
true
but being stronger in brains and feeling more like you are a real spartan that can make a difference, now its just prometheans spawn and it takes far too many unsatisfying shots to kill them. You feel weak
Spartans never die. they just respawn

I thought it was funny.
This blew my mind. I am moved and in awe! How very inspiring video of bravery, patriotism, and sacrifice.
Even with things changing, the past lives on and i love visiting it once in awhile.
The greatest way to start a story will always be "Dear Humanity...."
If aliens try to invade us let's send this to them in messages and tell them all of our super heros are real
Good old bungie with its lore thats consistent and makes since
I like bunnies lore alot better (mainly due to the spartan 4 basically wing the equivalent of power Rangers) but bungie had contunity errors mainly with the spartan 2 count and when first encounters happened with specific species of the covenant. Why 343 is more consistent they feel outrageous to me with what they have done with the spartan 4s
+Travis Austin Hodges 343 has much more flaws than Bungie did
Bungie wasn't exactly consistent either.
Why does it seem like all the FPS games enjoy widespread success at different times, but then ALL fuck up at exactly the same time?
Next gen games are all fucked every game after 2012
WoodgeGaming 2014 was kinda disappointing in terms of gaming...
Dennis Claros How? we had some great titles. Dragon Age: Inquisition and Alien:Isolation to name a few
Kieran Tobin True, but then there was AC:Unity's disastrous launch and Destiny turning out to be average.
This always brings me to the verge of tears, so much lost in the conflict.. but together we pushed..
Bungie may have messed up with Destiny but they did a great job with Halo. 343 is doing well, too. I imagine Halo will be like Star Wars in the future with many fans around the world that can enjoy the various mediums Halo has been translated into.
Most of the old community of halo dislike 343i and Halo
Beautiful
+Seanny D I did not know this, thank you

The last intelligent species, unaware of the dark secret over why humans seem to be alone in the universe.

that is, an amazing way to look at it. 343 did a really good job in the campaign. not so much in the multi player.
nah man, the books gave him a personality way before halo 4 came out

Plus the set up they have for Halo 5's story is really interesting.

This should be pretty f-ing good.
Dennis Claros i never said that they couldnt recover from halo 4. i knew it would be very difficult, but they could do it. i didnt play the beta but heard very good things about it. im very optimistic about this game. the franchise lives or dies with this game.
ECH0550 I know the feeling :)
I think 343 takes this more seriously than Bungie. I mean, they really wanna make this franchise last.
The question is whether they know how to...
the vidio almost made me join the military it is scary effective 0_0
Dam you almost join the army
Same
Bungie gets the Military. 343i does not.
You can’t keep a good bloke down. Legends never die. Live long Spartan 117.
Halo 5 took a giant shit on the halo universe... Thanks for ruining it, 343!Nothing like fighting an indentical boss 13 times in a row and calling it original..
+Luke Chudleigh Can't agree more
read the lore. then take a dump somewhere else
If you need to read books to fill in the gaps in a plot from a movie/game, guess what that makes it.
***** i am not saying read the damn books. I am saying Google it. It litteraly took me five minutes to do......
Go humanity!
If the UNSC was ever formed and Halo ever happened who would carry the torch? Who would fight!?
Anyone still alive?
If that type of thing actually happened, a draft would be created, there is no "Oh i'll do it" it's just "You're a soldier now, get out there"
Specter US NAVY SEALS
Evidently, all of humanity.
Specter US NAVY SEALS yea if that happens we will need ftl capabilities which I can't see happening within the next 2 century's... Plus we will all be dead
hopefully not my great, great, grandchildren. Or at least they wouldn't be conscripted into something like the Spartan Program
Heroes never die. They're alive in our hearts
Wait, when the hell did chief die
he was thought to be dead after the incident of halo 3
+LonelyGamer ok thanks
He died because the foward unto dawn got split in half by a portal but he dindnt
they thought he died... but he did not. because he is the master chief. and he is awsome.and he is (almost) invinceble.
Jack Rundle XD what rock were u under he never died
heros never die? idk church says something else
Epic Brony Church isn't a hero. Caboose is, he shot Church with a tank :D
+ArcticAssassin technically speaking church shot himself with a tank :P
suck it blue
***** No church from red vs blue
+Epic “EpicBrony300” Brony caboose didnt shoot him with a tank "tucker did it"
Remake this with the Halo CE/2 Anniversary Cutscenes.
Already available on The Halo Channel
'fun' as i found halo 3, i don't know why i'm just weird i guess.
carlos faurby HALO 4 sucks. No offense. It's just horrible compared to the third game.
carlos faurby Finally someone who agrees with me.
Halo 4? what's that? xD
Halo has always been owned by MS. They created Bungie to make the games then 343 later on to oversee Bungie. Bungie and 343 are technically independent companies but they were created by MS for Halo.
Brendan Murphy you're a tool….. don't speak. you know nothing
Boof Timex You have serious temper issues.
***** Do you have any physical evidence of these claims?
If you don't have anything better to say, I suggest you shut your mouth and GTFO.
I still remember halo golden age now its all shit
Most of you probably don't know this quote. "I do not fear men who destroy world's. I fear men who destroy hope." -Vice Admiral Cole
all this "all humanity" shit is cringe but the rest is patriotic.
If we didn’t kill each other over oil and lines on a map or gods we could’ve been traveling space by now but oh well
Seeing the old Microsoft and bungie logo takes me back when times where better and simpler.
