  • Noel Edmonds looks at the weekly pop chart from 24th February 1977 and introduces Heatwave, The Racing Cars, Bryan Ferry, The Real Thing, Mary McGregor, Electric Light Orchestra, Barbara Dickson, Boston, Leo Sayer, David Bowie and a Legs & Co dance sequence.
"The next introduction sounds a bit like the sort of insurance company you need cover from if you were to go walking round a volcano cos it's Earth, Wind, Fire, Legs and Company, work it out and watch it" - righto Noel I shall do just that next time I decide to go trekking round a unstable rock formation that spews out rather hot orange stuff.
Legs dancing to a track from Earth, Wind & Fire's 1976 hit laden LP 'Spirit' (that was a joke cos it had this track only as a hit). What a sight to behold thou, all six in the skimpiest of coverings and sparkly knickers (well what can I say, just what every growing boy deserves on a Thursday night - confused hormones a racing - certainly was for me).
The stunning beauties look like they are on their way to some dance class, got waylaid and ended up doing some impromptu dance in the middle of a school disco (remember them), but boy how hypnotizing they look. Every single Legs girl looks delicious in this.
The routine is not best, but it does involve hands clasped behind back dancing, and several hands in the air moments, followed by dance skipping down the floor, turn and back up. Not the most complicated of routines that the girls have had, but it's still a lovely piece of pleasurable viewing (as each one is).
Fantastic legs on show (all 6 pairs), I can now appreciate this routine alot more (after several viewings, several several viewings) my heart belongs to one Legs lovely but the other 5 certainly look equally honed and, how can i put this, sexy in this routine.
For the sake of skimpy outfits this is on par with version one of 'Sir Duke' in the 'spit your tea out not wearing much on TV' moments
Not a great song from the EWF stable, these are still to come), but as disco is entering the general public conscious, and given the 'can't be bothered too much this week' brief, then the girls have done a top notch job with this.
Just a thought, did girls actually wear this look out, I can't remember, answers on a postcard to the usual address.
BBC4 showing in High Quality MPEG2
