Well real issue is they have biggest Indian superstar Virat Kohli, get the foreigners do the marketing make the money go home, whereas the teams like kkr and mi have focus on scouting Indian talent. and these franchise run the academy to train Indian young players where as RCB does not.

Retaining Virat and Will Jacks will be a wise decision
Keep VK, Rajat and Siraj at 18,14,11 and Dayal at 4. RTM the rest because you can expect Faf or Jacks to not go beyond 18 for sure, so no point overpaying that by retaining them.

I agree , Acc to the news it is said that Cam Green will retain during the IPL , hopefully everything goes fine and he makes it. Giving him up for me is not an option because we have the 2nd best pace bowling allrounder. (He is way better than Hardik , but because he takes an INTL spot he takes second spot.) 1 season with a player with talent like Green and giving him up is braindead , because he will go for a price like Stark and Cummins if you put him a mini auction. Maxwell and Jacks are probably RTMs. For me if they retain FAF , I dont see value in retaining Jacks because we are nerfing him from whats his best role. He has been poor in T20s throughout the year, has done well in the ODIs , I dont know what they gonna do with Maxwell , if they have plans for him , then for me b/w him and jacks both are same.
Only Virat should be the way for RCB now n keep the money to bid aggressively for players like ishan, tripathi or even kl n pant if they come to auction

This is a good analysis. However, I disagree with what Mr Bhogle had to say about DK. Whatever DK scored last season had totally no impact. He scored runs in the games we(RCB) didn’t win.
I think RCB should consider Jacks in place of faf, we don't know for how many years more faf will countinue to play, Jacks makes more sense than faf now.

Faf's retention is a tricky one think the management should talk to him to know about his future retirement plans if he is available for 3 or more years i think rcb could probably retain him or can use their rtm card considering the risk and if he is not available for such years then they might try to buy him in auction for around 9-10 crores and not more than that because if we are looking for good opener csk will either retain conway or ravindra but not both so we have a chance to target on them as they will around the core for more no of years

You’ve heard of a powerplay, right? Well, this is like a ‘power-limit’ for batsmen. Every batsman can face a maximum of 20 deliveries. That’s it. Once they hit their limit, they’ve got to hand over the spotlight to the next batter.
BUT, if they’re still not out and their teammates haven’t lasted 20 balls, they can keep batting. So, we’re not putting anyone on early retirement-just spreading the responsibility across the team.
No more one-man-show performances. Every player has to step up, and T20 becomes a true team game again.
Bowlers won’t feel like they’re bowling to the same batter for 10 overs. They can finally smile again, knowing that after 20 balls, they get to see a new face (and no more nightmares about being hit for sixes on loop!).

I don't think RCB will go behind Faf because of his age. He can retire before the next big auction, and RCB will have to go for a captain hunt.
For some reason, it looks like RCB supporters have moved on from Faf. They may look to retain Maxwell because he had 3 great seasons before last year.

- Captaincy: Either mgmt has had conversations with Faf on his intent for the next 3 years. Recently he's won a CPL so that's a factor. Captaincy as a whole was very good to excellent. Age may not be issue but it eats up an overseas slot. Does RCB use an RTM on Faf, put a checkmark on captaincy for the next 3 years or start afresh? I don't think Kohli would be willing to take back captaincy unless the management is able to convince him otherwise?
- WicketKeeper: RCB lost a gem in DK with his retirement this year? In the auction you'll have the likes of Glenn Phillips, Phil Salt, Dhruv Jurel, Prabhsimran Singh, KS Bharat, etc. Some of these players may have their franchises exercise their RTM card (Salt, Jurel, etc.) Phillips is a strong contender imo, but I'd like to see Prabhsimran singh open with Kohli plus he can keep apart from being Indian. Burning question of whether KL Rahul goes into the auction (should LSG part ways officially) brings another question of, should RCB win his bid, will KL be willing to bat 5 down? His opening numbers are abysmal so unless he's improved his T20 game, it's all up in the air. Also depends how much he'll go for. Anything above 15 crores is too much for KL.
- Spinners: This is where RCB lacked last year insptie of the miraculous turnaround in the latter half of the season. They purused with Karn Sharma. RCB should try to get some leggies like Tewatia, Rahul Chahar in the mix or even get Hasaranga back at a low price.
- Pacers: Definetly get Hazelwood or Rabada into the mix.
