I tried a macro tank, twice. I've learned more patience is required in SW. Also, it is hard to keep a wide selection of Macros, usually either red or green take over. They need lots of nutrients, so regular dosing. I used regular plant ferts and light. Salinity was very difficult to maintain in a rimless topless tank. Copepods really help no matter what type of tank you set up. Good luck! Way too complex for me and too expensive.
Hey Sean! I don't know about salties. All I know is a lot more expensive and difficult and less forgiving. I look and be amazed but I stick with what I know. I hope you get lucky! 🐟🐠🐡🐙🐚
The word “cheap” is never part of a saltwater discussion. That Innovative Marine AIO is $1,100 and that does not include lighting. Best have deep pockets if you want to get into the hobby.
I could not disagree more, u do not need more filtration. People get way to uppity about filtration in salt water. The main difference is lighting, but even that only becomes important for certain types of coral. So, do ur homework, if you don't want those corals then you don't need that light. US corporations charge WAY TOO much for coral lighting.
Love the video, hope to get more people in the ETAA into saltwater aquariums.
