- Welcome to our review of the Shaka iLembe Season 1 finale! In this episode, titled "Shaka Takes the Zulu Throne ," we witness the aftermath of the battle between Shaka and eLangeni. Makhedama pays with his life, Nandi returns to Kwanobamba to secure Shaka's legacy, and Senzangakhona falls ill on the journey back home. As Sigujane prepares to take the throne, Mkabayi campaigns for Shaka to rule instead. With Sigujane dead, Shaka is left unchallenged for the Zulu throne, and the episode ends with Shaka finally returning to Kwanobaba and reclaiming the Zulu throne.
This episode is filled with suspense and elements of a spy thriller, with Mkabayi moving in the shadows to position Shaka on the Zulu throne. The finale is a satisfying conclusion to the season, with Shaka's coronation as the Zulu king. As a history nerd, I thoroughly enjoyed watching and reviewing this first season of Shaka iLembe. The original series was based on Sir Francis Farewell's interpretations of history as written in his diaries
Wonderful ❤ just that was to shoot
As an American, where can I stream or buy this series?
Hi, it's currently only available on Multichoice but it should air on Showmax (not sure if its available there) soon. I think they're still sorting out the streaming rights.
@@africanstoriesrealized It just finished its run Sunday, 3 September 2023.
Season 1 has judt finished here in SA so it'll soon be made available internationally.
In the original series back in the 80s, it showed that Mkabaya didn’t want Shaka to rule. She actually set up Shaka to be ambushed and killed, but that attempt failed.
She wanted him to rule, it was the uncle who wanted him dead
That series was one that was misinforming people.... Mkabayi ka JAMA wanted Shaka to rule... She was a king maker
Nah bro she wanted her brother to bring him back home it was the uncle that wanted him dead
