This is an interesting video. I grew up watching this show and never thought of Courtney's character this way, but you bring up a lot of interesting points i never thought of before. All things considered: it's a kid's nickelodeon show from the 2000s, even if there were people in the production team that wrote things to indicate Courtney having a crush on Ginger, there was NOOO way they would be able to fully pursue it. I kind of felt this « fascination » since childhood for same saxe couples in show, and when trying to remember if I had fictional girl crushes the first two characters that came to my mind where Ginger and Courtney.
This is the moment where I step in to tell you that being fascinated by someone of the same gender does not equate to homosexuality. You and the person who made the video both have made the choice to ignore that Courtney spends the whole series crushing massively on Daren's brother. At best, and I still think of it as a stretch and people of the LGBTQIA+ persuasion seeing things and projecting, Courtney might be bi-curious. Whether that would evolve into bisexuality or be outgrown in her adulthood though we have no way to know due to how the series ends.
There's no such thing as "seeing things and projecting" when it comes to fiction, any interpretation is valid as long as it is supported by the text. And just because a girl has a crush on a boy doesn't automatically make her straight, bisexuality is a thing.

I kind of felt this « fascination » since childhood for same saxe couples in show, and when trying to remember if I had fictional girl crushes the first two characters that came to my mind where Ginger and Courtney.
Me too. In hindsight some of my friendships that were a bit more obsessive were actually crushes before I realized I wasn’t straight
@@shimauta619 this is the moment where I step in to tell you to take a deep breath & lighten up lol they’re characters, they do not exist
@@georgie.monologues-z2d Yeah they're characters who don't really exist but you still want to read them as LGBTQIA+ instead of Heterosexual. Because being heterosexual is a bad thing to you somehow I guess.
