I love the old time gospel songs. Take's me back to my youthful days. These songs just make you feel good. Unlike this contemporary music you hear now days commonly referred to as 7-11 music, these old songs have meaning & a message
That piano picker is Sandra (Sandy) Payton. She is awesome. She is a long-timer in the gospel music field. Her and her husband John (recently deceased) formed the group, the Jo-San Singers and they sang with Rosie Rozell and the Searchers for a period of time. Sandy was most recently at Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough, GA as their music director. I think she now resides in Knoxville, TN and is still playing the piano as good as always.
I really enjoyed the videos of the Metro Atlanta Gospel Music Convention. Went to the Nov. 2010 one in Hiram Georgia. Hope these can be posted soon Thanks
I'm sorry but I don't know the name of the pianist. Perhaps Charlie Sexton (or others involved in this singing) might be able to post here and let us know.
Her name is Sandy Payton. She was the music director at Glen Haven Baptist Church. She was also my piano and organ teacher.
Ohhh that's Sandy, no wonder she can play like that, she is Awesome! ;-)
Hearing this song reminds me of my grandfather leading the choir at Springfield Church of God in Jacksonville, FL. I love this song!

Is that not Sandy Peyton on the piano? She was a friend of Eva Mae and is quite good on the organ as well.
Who is the pianist? She is incredible!
