I have a predator mx and love it. It's heavy at 80 lbs but it's a great boat. I mostly fish fast flowing rivers and this boat is perfect for that. I also fish local lakes and resovoirs and there's plenty of storage for overnight floats and camping trips. I've been floating the mx for about five years now and haven't regretted my purchase one bit. She's a tough stable boat. Worked great for taking my grandson fishing with me. He had plenty of room sitting on the floor in front of me. Love the under seat storage space. Wouldn't dream of floating any other boat.
I watched this presentation last night and found it to be very informative. Went out this morning and bought the Predator MX. Now for the fun part. Going to the lake. See ya!!!
Sweet yak! Don't forget to subscribe to our channel. If you need a boat, I have the MX in stock. Just call our store, 717-859-1121 Lancaster County Marine and speak to Dale. -Isaiah
For the 2022 model they changed a few things. Front hatch is held by bungee and all the removable plastic pads are now milled with a slot (which I’m not a fan of). Also they are not shipping the pull up strap with the boat or they just forgot to install it.
bought one of these used, a few weeks ago... so much better than what I could find local. Just have to get some additional equipment like scuffer hole plugs, pfd and paddles. I'll modify a couple of milk crates and add a rod hold and anchor, maybe a small fish finder, but other than that it should be good to go. I could also go without the plugs. Haven't decided yet
maybe get a slotted slot or two for the accessories. First kayak...lots of options. I did get a milled trolling motor mount and a scuffer hole wheel accessory he made.
@@LancasterCountyMarine How does the Sportsman 120 compare on the river to the Predator MX? Is the MX heads and shoulders better in moving water? Or are they pretty close? Thanks!
@@LancasterCountyMarinethanks for your reply. The reason I asked is I've seen comments about it and it's also stated in the specifications. "Designed for moving water conditions such as rivers"
@@jongregory886 I have an MX I use it mainly for creek and small river fishing. It is really nice when bouncing off of rocks. I don’t think its bad for any application. Very functional and stable. The Old town seats are wonderful.

I have been all over the internet researching fishing kayaks and this one just hits home with me. Now I have to decide between Lime or Red.

Very thorough review, nice job!
Glad you liked it!

Howdy. What's the crate you have in the back of the red MX?
Love this kayak!!
Same here man, thats a sweet yak! -Isaiah
Can you stand up and fish out of this kayak like the top water?
Yeah, a lot of guys do. Not as stable as the Topwater double U design. -Isaiah

@@northmemama yeah, head and shoulders better paddling kayak. The 120 Sportsman is designed for max stability, not a paddling hull.
would you be able to set a rudder or a trolling motor on it?
It’s not setup for a rudder, you could add a trolling motor
I use a 36lb thrust motor on mine. Had to make my own mount for it. Look on amazon for a mount. Might be something you can use.
@@GINGERKIDinc got a 30 lb thrust minn Kota endura on mine use it for duck hunting
I've seen some comments stating this is more of a river kayak. Any truth to that? Does it still perform ok on lakes?
I wouldn't say its more of a river kayak, what does that even mean? The MX is stable, and paddles very well on flat water.
@@LancasterCountyMarinethanks for your reply. The reason I asked is I've seen comments about it and it's also stated in the specifications. "Designed for moving water conditions such as rivers"
It is a more paddler friendly, responsive hull design. I can see why they call it the "Mixed Water" -Isaiah
We used them in salt water on the flats in Florida , if that answers your question.

Ah those are 13'2'' long
The only negative thing I have to say about this kayak is the drain plug sucks in that position
Agreed, there is no good place for a drain plug in this kayak.
Nice.
FushigiMigi price tag is closer to $1349
Whoops. Was looking at mk.
MX one
Sorry the MK
