- Across the ocean in the Middle East sits the nation of Israel. The nation itself is approximately the size of New Jersey, yet this nation has played and will continue to play an important role in the history of the world. Throughout the Bible, the Israelites are referred to as God’s chosen people. If you are new to the faith or even if you aren’t, you might wonder why did God choose Israel to be his chosen people? I mean what is so special about Israel that makes them different from any other nation? The term itself might make it seem as if God surveyed all the nations of the earth and said, that is the one I will choose. That is not exactly how it happened but the fact that they are referred to as God’s chosen people forces you to ask the question why did God choose Israel to be his chosen people? I pray these reasons I share with you will help you understand this a little better.

Many people think that God chosen people give you one sided benefit, instead it also makes you to oblige the covenant you made with the creator. So if the Jews do good, they will have whatever God promised, if not then the payment for the bad deeds will be 7 times more. Thank you Jada. I simply do not question God and why He chooses Whom He Will. I honour, praise and thanks Him without ceasing, not for a minute in my life. I have been blessed beyond anything I could imagine. I do not question His Wisdom in blessing me. God just has His way. I just thank Him for choosing Abraham, Moses, David and all the Patriarchs, the apostles, and a host of others. Can you imagine having a conversation with God like Abraham did or Moses? Wow! My wife of forty years and my friend since primary school, says she has never seen me stressed a single day in my life. I just leave every single thing in God's Hands. Of course you are CORRECT. Everything that Christ taught was already written in the ancient Eastern Scriptures, INCLUDING the fact that God's "Chosen People" are indeed they who CHOOSE to love God beyond all things, no matter what one's cultural differences are. The problem is that MOST Westerners refuse to read and study the Eastern Scriptures (or are even aware of them), even though that is where Christ was schooled, and his Sermon on the Mount was strictly Eastern in nature.

Thank you Lord Jesus for your first coming to your chosen people and for grafting us gentiles in when their leaders rejected you, and thank you for your promise to save all of Israel in their time of greatest extremity, the Great Tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble. He created the heavens and the earth. He created the sun, moon, stars, oceans, deserts etc. etc. Humans cannot do that any of these. He created the human without a human by His command “Be”. When they became a nation the majority of them were rebellious throughout that old covenant age, and when Christ came, they rejected Him. Then He died, rose again and ascended back to heaven. In Matthew 24 and Luke 21 Jesus told of the coming destruction of Jerusalem, which happened in 70 AD by the Roman armies. The city was destroyed along with their temple, and God turned His back on them as it is to this day. The veil is over their eyes, they are blinded by the Lord Himself. God's chosen people since that time are all people who believe in and follow Jesus from all nations (Gentiles) and we are the church. If a Jewish person believes in Jesus, that person is added to the church. But there is no future for national, ethic Israel. We are under the new covenant now. AMEN

God was pleased with Abraham so he chose him to be his obedient servant and blessed him and his Isaac and Jacob descendants. However, not all Israelites will enter heaven for many of them do not believe and follow Jesus who claimed himself that he is the only way to Heaven.

Thank you so much for this video. I had always wondered why GOD chose Israel as His people and continued to bless and rescue them from their enemies. Even though they strayed from and saved other gods and even killed His prophets. Now I know it was because of His promise to Abraham and as a lineage for Christ Jesus.

Twenty years ago, I handed my life over to God completely and have never for one moment regretted it. I do not suffer from stress, anxiety and live a worry free life. IT IS AMAZING!
