- Hello, Lovelies! Welcome or welcome back. In this video, I will be showing you my hair restoration routine. I fell off my routine for a bit, but I am back now lol I did confirm with an Olaplex rep that you can use no. 3 before applying a protein treatment. Since Olaplex no. 3 isn't protein and does not contain any protein ingredients, it's safe to use. Olapex no. 3 works from the inside to repair your hair bonds. For my protein treatment, I am using APHogee's two-step protein treatment. I recommend doing a protein treatment once a month, no more than twice. If you are low porosity, you still need to use protein to keep your hair strong and balance all the moisture you're putting into it. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments :) #olaplex #aphogee #proteintreatment #restorenaturalhair

I’ve done it and it worked well for me
It’s a great combo !
I'm gonna try this lol ✨❤️🔥🔆💜 I remember did something similar to this but I used clay not olaplex but I'm gonna try olaplex cause I heard good things
Olaplex is great! Just expensive 😭 lol dont break the bank trying to get it tho. There’s a hair bond protein treatment out by curl smith that’s cheaper (like in the $30 range) and has more product too. I haven’t used it though
Just reading the comments and I'm really confused 😂 so you *didn't* mix the olaplex treatment and aphogee - rather you used the olaplex first rinsed that out *_then_* used the aphogee after right? Please help my hair is dying 😞🙏🏽
Yes I followed the instructions for both products. Olaplex was used first since the instructions say to use on old hair not freshly washed, then after shampooing I used the aphogee which is instructed to be used on freshly washed hair. Olaplex is a bonding treatment so it just helps with curl structure. Protein is vital for hair health which is what the Apoghee is for. Using it in a routine can help restore hair damage but the ultimate healing for hair is cutting off damage and growing new hair in its place. This combo helps with curl bounce back though I’ve been using it monthly ever since! Im thinking I should post an update about it 🤔🤔
@@shiblaqbri yeah for sure and maybe how to keep protein / moisture balance after a protein treatment ✨
@@pomegranateemporium I’ll definitely get that up soon!
@@shiblaqbri would I be able to use heat afterwards ? Like my hair is bleached and I wanna use both olaplex and the protein and then kind of like silk press it in ?
@@lulakeepingithonest9614 did you just bleach your hair? Because you shouldn’t put heat on it right after bleaching in my opinion. But if you’ve had already bleached it and it’s been that way for awhile then yes you can use the Olaplex then protein treatment and then use heat.
Did you put olaplex on your hair when it dry ??
I didn’t think you were supposed to mix the two products. Rather, use them back to back. How is your hair currently doing?
It’s totally safe to mix since Olaplex isn’t a protein treatment. I even checked with an Olaplex rep myself ^^ and my hair is great rn. I straightened it on thanksgiving and the curls are really bouncing back after this treatment
@@shiblaqbri I tried Olaplex yesterday; 0 and 3. I used a leave in conditioner and almond oil. Then I added activator before twisting my hair. I know.. I did the most! Lol
@@ay1kahS and how did your hair turn out??? Lol sometimes you gotta do the most to get the hair poppin
@@shiblaqbri lol. Yup. If nothing more, it’s really moisturized. I trimmed the ends too because those knots and raggedy pieces irritate my life. I’m keeping the twists in for two weeks for lazy reasons. I’ll do the second application of Olaplex then. I bought Curly Smith and Aphogee too. My hair is about to be down to my ankles soon. Lol
Lol that sounds like a good plan! I usually just put my hair in two big flat twists when I’m lazy 😂 I’ve been wanting to try the new curlsmith line too
I can’t find apogee no more. I found a strength treatment but not the protein tx
If you can’t find it at a Sally beauty near you, you can order it online from Sally’s or directly from the aphogee website
@@shiblaqbri ok thanks
I hope the Olaplex will keep it from dripping.
Olaplex is meant to be used on prewashed hair so I applied that first. Then shampooed then did the protein Apoghee treatment
I see no difference at all
How’s your hair holding up?
My hair is great! My elasticity is back up and it’s retaining moisture more now :)
@@shiblaqbri so the mixing of the two didn't damage it?
Nope, not at all! why would you think it would cause damage? The protein treatment is safe as long as you follow the instructions and Olaplex no. 3 is just a bond builder
@@shiblaqbri I didn't think mixing chemicals would be a good idea. But since you still have healthy hair I digress.
@@ay1kahS oh I gotcha! Yeah I checked with Olaplex rep myself and they said no. 3 safe to use in combo with a protein treatment since it’s not a protein treatment itself. If you want to use a different item from Olaplex in combo with a protein treatment tho I recommend asking a rep on their website ^^
