Actually it is alot easier than it seems. Its only difficult working in a shop because they choose quantity over quality. Ive spent a full day detailing an SUV. Turned it from a dirty soccer mom type vehicle to a brand new luxury SUV that it should be. All it took was a shop vacuum, trash bags, carpet cleaner, vinyl cleaner and protector, leather cleaner and protector, wheel and rim cleaner, microfiber towels, glass cleaner, car exterior soap, shammy, buckets and an assortment of brushes. The price you pay at the shop is the same price you pay for all the supplies that can do at least 5 details. You could also attempt to wax your own car but I wouldn't recommend it. Just use a clay bar. Its very easy to mess up a waxing.

I know I’m a bit late to this video but thank you for taking such great care of his pride and joy. X

Your video will be of tremendous use for me.
Whenever a girlfriend says "you spent HOW LONG washing your car?" I can refer them to this video and tell them that there is a world of difference between a simple car wash and a proper detailing. As a matter of fact between getting out the pressure washer for my foam gun, the two bucket washing and the CR filtered water for the final rinse (and I do remove the wheels too) Maybe I would be better off just throwing her a hundred or two and tell her to go shopping with her girlfriends.
I once spent three entire weekends on a Porsche that a friend bought at auction and I told him it could use a proper cleaning, compounding (to remove the swirls that the pre auction fluffers installed) and then Cquartz coating. Just the under body and engine compartment took an entire day. I spent three hours just jeweling the paint with Menzerna po85rd and a black pad.
Damn, did I feel satisfied with the results too.

Did you get the steering wheel cleaned? It's one of the most overlooked parts that most detailers just overlook or simply wipe dry. When I detailed my family's 4 year old car, I hit the steering wheel with APC and swirled with a brush, then when I dried it off my towel literally turned dark grey. That steering wheel had 10x more dirt on it than the entire interior combined, and my family are quite clean people.

If you have a velcro backed electric DA polisher, you can buy various Velcro backed brush pads. I have a light/medium one and use it to clean cars with all leather seats being dirty. I typically do it first, since the DA can sometimes throw a bit of agitation foam but it works GREAT for tackling a large amount of upholstery in a timely fashion.

I am not that familiar with Amy MacDonald but she's Scottish and the Car Cleaning Guru has a Scouse accent so you haven't even got the right country.

I love watching this video. It actually relaxes me and sends me to sleep. I think time should have been spent in washing the carpets though. I drove one of these beasts recently. Engine is huge and has so much power.

I know this is kind of an old video, but I'm a new subscriber, and I just have to say, Wow! I really like this channel, the tips are great, and the results are awesome! As an american, I also like the cadence of your narration, strangely relaxing. All in all my favorite new detailing channel, will definitely be binge watching all your vids!

Had the use of one of these in 1989 for a couple of days from an old sadly departed boss. Started the engine, didnt know it was on it was that quiet! Carpet was this thick black affair, about two foot deep.
