Thank you. You are a very good teacher and all things were explained so that the imagination could take hold of the feeling each stop family gives...thanks for that wonderful tutorial.
Hello from Melbourne Australia, Came to hear you at the inauguration of the new Melbourne Town Hall Organ. Wonderful experience! Hope your feet feel better as you were playing in your socks at the time. :-)
Can someone name the piece used beginning at 2:55 or so? Mr. Curley also used it on a documentary about pipe organs on a Canadian program called "The Nature Of Things", used there as a feature song. Being that that episode was part of my beginning fascination with the pipe organ, that piece (and Culey performing it) hold strong memories for me.
@MrMusic1984 He's a big guy. Organ shoes are designed to fit pretty tight. I've seen a few other larger dudes that didn't wear organ shoes for that reason. Don't get me wrong: he plays exremely well; he's just a big guy and that makes things a bit tougher lol.
Thank you for sharing. I seldom get to play on larger organs, so when I find a video of someone explaining stops that I would not normally see it is very nice. Most of the organs around here are less than 4 ranks, with one 10 rank theater organ (which I get to play weekly), a 16 rank tracker (which I try and play when I can), and a 37 rank organ (where I should just stop by and see if they let me in...) I do have a question: The toggle switches above the top manual, how are they different?
Sei stato un grande organista. Ho ascoltato molti tuoi cd e li conservo nel mio cuore. Riposa in pace caro Maestro.
Wonderful video. He can explain it with so much passion, the passion he has for the organ just drips off the screen. :)
Carlo thank you for all your wonderful music. We will miss you. May You Rest In Peace.

Were those chimes real bells or electric sounds
Philadelphia's original Liberace!
Whats the name of the piece played displaying how loud the organ can be at about 6 minuet mark?
