I'm here for the inductor noise (as I've got similar 24v inverter) and I was able to hear and recognize it even with background music. I believe it's from internal 24->12v small dcdc and I wanted to make sure it's not just my inverter that has this issue
James, your battery has a max discharge rate of x, you will find this information with the documentation that came with your battery or on their website. Assuming you use your 3000W inverter and run loads at only 80% (200A) of rated capacity, you are drawing more than the battery can deliver at a sustained discharge rate and if your battery has a battery management system (BMS) built in, the battery would shut down to protect itself. Your battery does not look like a smart battery, so an external BMS may be required, I am not familiar with this brand. In essence what I am saying is that your battery cannot run at 3000W load (250+A). You would need to add a second or third battery (the exact same type and rating MUST be used) in parallel to allow your inverter to run efficiently and not overload the batteries. In addition, those cables are way to small to handle the discharge currents we are talking about, they would be burning in no time because there is no fuse between the battery and the inverter, you MUST have a fuse on every correctly sized cable (min 95mm2 for a 3000W inverter), located between the source and the load . Fuses should be close to the source/battery. I would not recommend these batteries for a 3000W inverter, there are much better quality batteries that can perform better, but they come a cost, you get what you pay for.

Maybe I'm missing this because of a power factor but I'm trying to determine if appliances running at 220v, 50 Hz would allow lower amp consumption that appliances that run on 110, 60 Hz. I'm from the US but working overseas where 220/50 is common. If I buy some appliances here, I'd like to be able to use them in my Overland rig when I get to the US. These items are minor of course (cookers and grills) but if they run more efficiently than items sold in the US then why not ship them back.

My 300 Ah lithium battery says not to draw more than 1800w continuous (150 amp at the battery).
