I think the game takes place four years after guns of the patriots so I thought when they were talking about snake they’d mention he passed away since he only had like a year or something to live. This game definitely needs a sequel and it looks like they planned on it based off the end cutscene. Probably won’t be the same without Kojima though and hopefully when they do make a sequel they’d fix the god awful camera.
I would like to say (and in a friendly way) that you have missed an Easter egg. When you are in the start menu, do the famous Konami code (Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start) and Raiden will say the title of the game.

Also, the reason for George spurting TMNT references upon first seeing Raiden was included by the lyricist of Vanilla Ice's Ninja Rap(which was used for TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze), albeit ghostwritten by him.

There is one more easter egg i found. In the mission where you go to the oil refinery, there is a warehouse segment, there is a hidden part where a cyborg guard is hiding in a cardboard box. And if you cut the box the guard pops out. Raiden even says "where did he learn that from?"
The 2nd one is in File R-02 in the room with the water striders. I'm not sure about the 3rd and 4th ones, but the 5th and final one is in File R-07 behind some cargo containers right before the MG-Excelsus battle
