I hate my baby hairs because they are straight and stick out making me look like I have thorns lol. But yours are actually really cute because they are curly. I personally liked how your hair looked before adding the gel because i don’t like the wet gel look.
I have been using this technique many times to settle the hair. I also use the brush and mascara to touch up the grey hair it's instantly coloured and very helpful when you don't have time to colour. Just let it dry.
This is such a simple, but great tip. Thanks for sharing. I got those baby hairs too after my son was born, and just couldn't figure out if I'd never noticed them before or if my hair had really changed (but now I know - it has changed) 😂
Thank you for commenting Iris! I was the same! I wondering if it was because of the pregnancy or it has always been that way. I don't think it's ever been this crazy though. :)
First time I hear of other mums with that same issue! I thought I was the only one noticing that weird baby hair coming out so crazy and it never looked like this before. I still wonder what is the reason for that.. Maybe a lack of vitamins and minerals from pregnancy and breastfeeding? Would really like to understand what caused this, it's really weird
Idk if this has already been mentioned cause I'm late to the party, apparently the mascara wand is called a "spoolie," and you can get a free disposable one at most make-up stores so you can sample the mascara. Great for if you just wanna try it out and don't have an old wand to repurpose.
The thing in the neck of mascara tubes that cleans off the brush can be removed. Take it out, clean it off along with the tube and fill it with gel and purified water then replace the plastic thing and enjoy!
I didn’t even consider that baby hairs could change and go wild right after having my baby, but it’s true, before i got pregnant i never had any problems and now i can’t even straighten my hair because they just start to curl up again. I will try this for sure, thank you 😊
I had the same issue after pregnancy..Issue is actually dry hair so i started oiling my hair everytime i would wash my hair..2hrs before..also dilute the shampoo 🧴 and leave the conditioner in ur hair for 5minutes..use leave in serum and dont comb unless required..voila..i’m sorted 😎
Hey Sabrina! I love this video~ Totally annoying with those baby hairs! I also saw the mascara like baby hair gel/creme. I started spraying hair spray on my mascara wand to achieve something similar... but I like your idea even more!
Love RUclips literally just decided to deal with my frizz looked this very specific problem up found few videos and life changing tips xD and with a snap of fingers my problem resolves.... Thank you for your tip lady! Much appreciated =)
haha! Thank you! This comment made my day. I've been on youtube for a year and this video is by far my most popular one but I think the others have pretty decent tips too if you would like to check them out! ;)
Love this!!!! I have the most annoying fly-away baby hairs ever but don't want to look like I've glued my hair down with gel. Will definitely try this!
You can remove the top part of the bottle and soak the bottle in warm water then use eyebrow brush or the mascara brush itself to clean it and when it dry store the get and attach the top part again (it helps you to with collecting excess products from the brush )
Didn’t even know it was related to postpartum until a friend mentioned she had the same experience. So weird all the stuff that happens to you post brith 😅
I tried this and it worked sooo well I was so surprised this is genius! I do have a concern with the the mascara brush since the bristles are tough I’m scared that I’m actually worsening my hair. Maybe it’s better to use a toothbrush since the bristles are softer and smooth but I have yet to try that.
Thanks for sharing the tips. Is there any difference between using hair brushes and eyelash brushes? What kind of hair gel would you recommend? Thanks again!
Hello! Thank you for watching. The eyelash brushes have smaller bristles so the application can be much more precise than a regular hair brush. The hair gel i got is from L’Oréal but I would try to pick any hair gel that doesn’t make the hair too sticky or too shiny for a more natural finish :)
I find that I need to re-apply it mid-day but that's because I use very little hair gel. If you build up a couple of layers of gel you it might last all day but could also harden the hair if you over do it. Let me know how it goes!
If you are going to be sweating like if you have gym class or it's hot out and if it's raining I'd go a little heavier on the gel. Pro tip: the plastic thing in the neck of mascara tubes that cleans off excess product from the brush can be removed, take it out, clean out the tubes and fill it with hair gel and bottled water (preferably distilled, just not tap, too much bacteria), then replace the stopper and take it with you for touch-ups.
@@TiidiiLivingwithSabrina i actually stopped using hair gel / spray, i think in the long run, it'll definitely damage my hair. the smell is too strong for my liking as well and more often times than not, it makes my hair look flat haha
@@addictaedtokookie1622 I wonder if there is a better solution. Maybe a bit of aloe vera instead? I just googled "can you use aloe vera on your hair" and I found this: "Make an amazing, long-lasting hair gel by using aloe vera as the base. Aloe vera is a more natural alternative to other ingredients found in store-bought hair gels because of its ability to help keep your locks soft, strong, and frizz-free." Might be worth a try using the same technique with a mascara wand or brow brush :)
Thank you for watching! To be honest I didn’t try too many different kinds of gel, the one I have is from the L’Oréal brand and I think it works just fine :)
Omg it was so hard to find someone on the entire internet with similar hair to mine making one of these videos. For some reason, they will mostly ever recommend videos with people who have straight hair and little to no frizz??? Hahaha. Thank you Sabrina! Watching from Panama! (Also, love how this is eco-friendly and all). Any inexpensive CF and vegan hair gel recommendations?
Same idea but slightly different tool- put a little bit of hair gel on the back of your hand and dip a clean toothbrush into it. Good luck. -your postpartum baby hairs sister
I’ve always been using gel to smooth my wild baby hairs but it appears it really only lasts a few hours before I need to reapply. Wish this would work.
What did you think of this hair hack? Do you know anyone who could use this trick?
Very cool! I didn't know about it!!!
I’ll try this out. Thank you for this!
I tried just like Sabrina but only tried one brush. Thank you for getting to the subject and Great hair information.
@@leslielyon3894 Thank you for watching and commenting :D :D
I can relate with this, I too have same problem
I have so many baby hairs and I never would've thought to do this!
About to enter the military and I've been struggling with the baby hairs coming out of my bun, in excited to try this!
Oooh! You’re gonna look so neat and sharp 😊. Let me know how it goes!
The baby hairs grabbed my attention 😅 I use all natural hair gel for smoothing and styling my baby hairs EVERYDAY!
How do you make your natural hair gel?
I hate my baby hairs because they are straight and stick out making me look like I have thorns lol. But yours are actually really cute because they are curly. I personally liked how your hair looked before adding the gel because i don’t like the wet gel look.
Haha thank you :) Sometimes I need to go for the sleek look

Postpartum baby hairs are wild aren't they :) love this. I'll need this in a few months.

Yes!! I thought about this months after making the video when I went to Sephora and saw the spoolies. That is a great idea!!
This is such a great idea Sabrina! I was totally confused at first by the reference to “baby hair” in the title but I get it now 😂
Great, thanks! My daughter uses a toothbrush with gel for dance competition hairstyles. Love your biz name by the way. :)
Thank you. This is super helpful. Same here since pregnancy the hairline looks crazy 😜
I advise using a boar bristle teasing brush. Has the same effect but covers a lot more at a time :)
I have sooo many baby hairs so I can't wait to try this! Amazing tips! :)
It worked?
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am going crazy with my extremely unruly baby hair these days too.
That’s a great solution to save money and stay out of the stores.
You just literally blew my mind with this hack!
Haha love it 😊

You can also try a spoolie eye brow brush, they are usually very soft and you don't have to clean them
Yesss great
Now we can pack our baby hairs easily
Spray loose hair with hair spray, style while hair is lightly moist using a brush/comb. Lock in place with hair spray.
Thank you so much! I will definitely try it! Also, onne can see that you are very comfortable being yourself and you are very beautiful!

how long will it stick the hair down? will it be able to last for one whole day of school?

Watching from Newzealand. Thank you for great tip. Which gel should i try? What you recommend?

Glad it was helpful 🥰
Great trick , thank u 4 starting 👍
You girls can try this with hair spray and even clear brow gel or a hair gel.
You guys why hate baby hairs😞😞
You should style them nicely instead of hiding them. Believe me, you look more gorgeous than before...❤️❤️
Thank you, your diy was really helpful for me 😊❤
I got my life saver 🥺, Thank you gonna try it
Sweet! Glad to hear :)
Definitely I will try.
I will surely try this👍👍👍
I do this and without the gel and works fine for me (though I'd have to test how long it "holds")
