That was really good about the anticipation of the coming lob! It's a tennis academy level information, about the grip change, the body position and posture, and the most important about your own great shot and that the response will be definitely a lob!!! Thanks a lot!

All play into seeing the lob coming--thanks Michael!

Yes I have a default to thinking the points over when I hit a great shot and it comes back as a lob and I have to still play the point bummer lol

I could put away a lot of overheads but missed 90% of the "underspin" lobs. Those lobs seemed to drop slower and backward = messed me up. Is there an easy fix for it? Thank you very much. Subscribed.

Don't worry too much about the spin on their ball. If you hit your overhead with sufficient pace it will negate their spin. However you must get in good position and hit your overhead with purpose.

@@DailyTennisLesson I can disagree with the great lob killing the underspin! Though I'm not a moonball fan, but I adore sending semi-moonballs especially to the net player and I deliberately make good underspin! And usually their lobs end in the net! Also great sidespin added to the high moonball is a very good thing, cause the ball starts to change its trajectory from a normal fall to some coil spring that make the lob almost impossible to hit...

Thank you!! I think anticipation is very important..try to understand quickly and wath carefully..sometimes i just forget it!! But when I remember to do that (not very often :D ), I have a great advantage!!

Hey Brady! Thanks for the awesome video. I was wondering if you could do a video on how to read an opponent's serve and how to prepare to receive service? I know that's basically something you can't teach but there must be some tricks right?

Brady , at the zatt level and even the champs level of 12 and under , the kids just start hitting high on regular rally shots to win points..when one kid starts the other has no choice but to engage in the same. any way out or nothing one can do? your thoughts?

It's very important to develop the swing volley and on the rise ground strokes in order to break the moon balling pattern. Thanks for watching!

Some pushers play all their shots with continental grip. No way to decipher when they're gonna lob

This would be true, but then you're dealing with a player that can't hit many winners or hit with much topspin, which I would be very happy to play against. Also there are other ways to anticipate a lob other than just the grip.

When I get a lob, I return with a lob, but with double the height.

Pushing with a pusher can often turn out badly, but it sounds like you've had some success with it.
