Hi. Great Video. I have a small 1.5 car garage (~400 sq ft) I'd love to cool. Can you recommend a unit that is super-easy to install that runs on a 110 v AC outlet (instead of being hard-wired)? My budget is $1500.00 but I'd love to be closer to $1000.00 or less.

not with this model.
Flare fitting should get a nylon washer made for this exact purpose. Don’t use any of the tread seal crap.
Thanks, I will pass that message on. I was just following other AC installers advice for mini splits. Do you have the link for the washer by chance?
@@howididit never ever have I seen a washer for a flare fitting--but then I'm no HVAC tech, just a guy with a ton or practical experience. I normally fit them dry in other applications, but for HVAC and modernized refrigerants/pressures I'd rather have a few cents worth of assurance that those flares sealed fully-regardless of their imperfections. thanks again.
@@wadepatton2433 over a year later, and it is stioo cooling like a charm. I just installed a unit at the Barn, it is a game changer with Florida's summer heat.
@@howididit My parts are here, waiting on my pump and manifold, and I have to pull the AC to the unit. I'm putting in a new 220 circuit for it. I cannot wait to have coolness without excessive noise and terrible efficiency. The heat will help on days when I don't care to make a fire-and eventually I'll have a propane heater and three ways to stay warm in TN.
@@wadepatton2433 that is awesome! Ya know the old saying 2 is 1, and 1 is none.
Hi can you send me a Make and Model number of this unit I want to buy the same unit. Also where did you buy this from....appreciated this, Thanks !!! Clint
Hello there, I purchased this off ebay from www.ebay.com/itm/352821716902 this fella is based out of Texas.
@@howididitHello Diana, excellent video and explanations Thanks. I actually am getting the very same unit and will DIY it myself so I will be asking you a few more questions as I attempt installation. 1) So the only plug is the one on the inside unit attached to the Blower unit or does the heat pump outside also get plugged somewhere outside . 2) I cannot find your 2nd part video for this installation ...where wd it be?? 3) Did you have to vacuum pump it or not, my brother keeps telling me I do NOT and to read the instructions, which I haven't done yet....just wondering, lmk. thankyou very much, Shehan
@@shehanedirmanasinghe630 Thanks. These little units are pretty darn kool ;-)
Quick questions so when you set the remote to a certain temperature and when it reaches it does the outdoor unit supposed to turn off and fan inside keep running ?
Yes, the inside fan will stay on, but it used minimal energy.
16 seer won't be good if below 32 degrees for heat.
I have no clue, I'm in florida. From what I have heard the science behind the heat pump is it pulls warmth out of the air exchange. Maybe it will work, just not as effective as in a warmer climate
Way too much information about things that doesn’t matter, aka, your kid’s info….!!
True, but then again, this shows others out there they too can do things like this for their family members. Thanks again for watching.
