Summary:
The story is about a boy named Hiko Shima, a pessimist boy, who has lost all hope for his future. He was born into a family where he grew up without any love from either his parents or his siblings. In a tragic accident, he lost his mother and right hand, along with the little expectation his father had from him.
With Hiko’s dominant hand being useless now, his father didn’t wanted him to be a part of their family. So he cancelled his schooling and sent him to their villa in the deep mountains of chiba, where Hiko will spend his remaining life.

A few details you would like to know, because they are not covered in the Anime:
Hiko’s mother, Touko was in love with Tamasuke Shima. They loved each other very much and wanted to get married. However, Hiko’s father, as well as Tamasuke’s older brother, Yoshi lost his first wife to an unknown cause and wanted a replacement. Despite knowing his younger brother’s feelings for Touko, being the head of Shima family, he used his influence and made Touko his wife. After this, Tamasuke left the Shima family.
Three years after Hiko’s birth, Touko ran away from the home and went to see Tamasuke. When she was forced to return back to Yoshi, Touko realised that she was pregnant with Tamasuke’s son, Tamao.
To make sure the situation doesn’t worsen, she never told Tamasuke about his own son. Two years later, Touko gave birth to Tamako ( Hiko’s only real sister). Out of her three children, Touko loved Tamao more than Hko and Tamako, because she saw him as her one true child with the person she loved.
BONUS: Don’t know if season 2 will come out or not, but in the manga, Hiko and Yuzu had three children. 2 Boy, 1 Girl.

Nah, she isn't ashamed of her breast size. She's genuinely annoyed because she's short and they are so big that they get in the way of her daily activities. The thing she's ashamed about is actually her terminally messy hair, hence why she always tries to keep it tied and wakes up before her fiance/husband so he doesn't notice her grooming it.
Though she finds out that she doesn't need to be so wary about it as neither the guy nor his adorable sister find it unsightly. They actually think it's cute.
It's an old Japanese beauty standard. Large chest makes it hard to wear a kimono properly which is why she wears those wraps. So maybe not embarrassed but trying to look her best I guess.

Loved this anime. My only problem was the forced drama they tried to put in the anime. Like the mc was so stupid because all he had to do was tell Yuzu that he was being blackmailed by Rio, but instead let Yuzu think he was cheating

This is why you don't use ace bandages to bind your chest. Why would you bind your chest tight enough to nearly suffocate yourself in your sleep? That's very dangerous. I get wanting to preserve your honor and all, but this is ridiculous. Her parents probably drilled into her head that her body developing early was shameful and that she needed to hide it. I've never seen this anime, but I feel bad for these kids because they're clearly suffering.
@Emanplayszunfortunately things like that do happen to girls irl; breast ironing/flattening is a thing (a form of physical abvse,) and in some places this is forced onto girls as soon as their breasts start developing (ages 9-15) in order to make them less womanly, so they're less likely to be kidnapped/assaulted or to abandon their studies to run off with a boy.

Hidden horror of that anime is that Tamaki and Yuzu will witness destruction of Tokyo the second time in their life - in 1945. Tamaki probably won't be conscripted in military service because of his disability, but there is no tell if they'll survive the bombing raids. Again, if Tamaki and Yuzu would have a son, they could lost him in WWII, as he would be about 20 years old by that time. The anime is heartwarming, but that Great Kanto earthquake sure did gave us a huge historical reality check.

In Tamako's case it was rather a proactive defensive reaction: in Japan, especially in old times, tall girls was ridiculed by peers, because being tall was (and still is) considered as not being cute. So it is a common trope in anime that tall girls are really insecure about their height. But Tamako is proud and her ego can't afford just being shy, that is why she attacks first.
THIS ANIME IS SO CUTE!!! AHHHHH Such a wholesome anime! The small drama bit was unnecessary, but I'm so glad it was resolved quickly! I love wholesome animes like this

I was also kinda confused at times cause I thought he was supposed to have lost his hand but at certain times I saw he had both but then i realized that one of his arms just doesn't work
As good as this is and I may be alone when I say this but, I really hate it when someone who is clearly in the wrong blames the MC for a misunderstanding or bad coincidence and suddenly it's the MC's fault when it wasn't. And another thing why is it always the MC's fault for not understanding the feelings of someone who doesn't communicate their feelings, is the MC wrong for not reading minds or something?! And why is the sister not understanding how hard life has been for the MC, he's had it worse but she gives him a hard time for it, it's quite Annoying and Toxic.
The real reason they always blame the mc is because that's the way the writers wrote the story but I don't know what the inuniverse explanation is
Tamako gets better. She's really just have a huge older brother complex, but being too proud and afraid to to show her weakness to their cutthroat family, she kinda comes across as a bitch, but inside she's just as much of a cinnamon roll as Tamaki. Their father is unapologetic asshole though.

Agreed, the fact that whenever someone gets overwhelmed and blames the main character of any show for something no-one ever calls them out in universe when it's seen and they treat the stupidest leaps in logic as reasonable annoys me so much sometimes

for the dad is less of "i will give my son a wife" and more like "i want a kid to succeed me but that will take time and money, ugh, oh right i still have a son, i will make him do all the work for free" it may be something there but it can be just logical and cold
japanese(asians in general really) tend to do that even to this days, if they have a useless or failure son somewhere they try to use them as a bargain chip to get together with a more wealthy family and have a grandson that will be the successful pride of the family, they view their own son as a breeding horse to gain status
It was a matter of 'face'. Keep in mind this is 1920s Japan here. They'd become an industrial nation just 50 or so years prior. A lot of their culture was very different, even more so than it is now. The son of a wealthy family absolutely cannot be seen to be unmarried, in case it brings shame upon his relatives.

Yeah, they heal broken heart after dealing with real live opposite gender. It is hard to find good quality spouce. Tough one needs to remember this is fantasy and real woman will never be replacement Mother like she is in anime. Tough feels good to feel that care and love, even if it is impossible in that form (love without responsibility and atractive and masculine traits at male side). I think I need to watch more of this fantasy to get my broken heart fixed, this js good stuff.😅

It contains Fantasy elements but it's also moving and more or less around this Historical Period although they don't mention the "Japanese Empire", they just say it's an Empire.

I've just finished the manga like two days ago, never thought it has an anime, never searched for it, it fairly had that -uplifting the spirit- kinda effect on me and it's really adorable! I personally think the manga looks better, but it's really amazing to see it animated.
While I've read the manga I imagined a more nostalgic and pessimistic, sometimes a soft and daring OST,
the anime conveyed Yuzu's -spring storm- in a way I didn't expect, it's quite fun, heh. :)
