Good video! That's a nice model there, pre 63 I would guess by the reg,2 tone upholstery, and the earlier speedo. My first car was a Minor1000 traveller 1966 I got in 1989.I've had other classics since but non at the moment. You are very correct and I found the same, that so many spares for classic cars are absolutely crap!Either they don't fit,or, fall apart prematurely. I wish unipart was still going, back then the quality was as good as the original. Best of luck with yours, looks like you know a thing or two about them. 🙂👍

Hey great to see some new moggie content on here! Your car is very similar to mine a trafalgar blue minor 1000. Mine has a 1098 still which I'll probably tune a bit. Is that a HS4 carb? I hope you'll be providing some more videos of your work 👍
Sorry if you already know but a lot of the fixings are whitworth. I've only got a bare minimum of these tools myself.

I do need to get a Whitworth set. Usually I find that a 12 point imperial or metric socket can be made to fit enough to get something undone.
Carb is a HS4 and it's tag says from an Austin 1300 (ADO16). I imagine the manifold is off one of them too. Personally I prefer one big carb rather than twin carb as much less hassle to tune up.

@@sic- i agree on the carbs... I'd go straight for a HIF38/44 in a "performance" setup. I've got the standard HS2 right now which will come off for a spare HS4 from a mini. I won't be racing about in my moggie haha.

I expect you are going to do a sympathetic resto on the moggy it certainly looks good for its age not a lot of rust and rot I hope and the engine sounds sweet for the first start up in a few years

Yes, I've sent off to change it with the DVLA already. But they have been on strike the last few months and so it's going to take quite a while for them to get around to updating.
