  • Over the weekend, I went down to Tesla Miranda in Sydney, to check out the all new 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance. This is an example of the MP3 in the right-hand drive configuration.
    In this video, I go over the key specs of the car, and everything that is different to standard model. I picked up on a few changes that I hadn't seen in other videos, so keen to share them with you all. Unfortunately the car isn't yet available to be test driven. As I mention in the video, if by some miracle, this blows up, I hope @tesla loans me a car for a week or two to do an in-depth test with (pls @tesla).
    Plenty more content on the horizon, so make sure to be subscribed to know when I drop some new content.
    Thanks for watching!

      Would be interested to see how this performs on track. Not too convinced at this stage it could take an M3. Maybe with some suspension mods and tyre upgrades

    Nice work I have mine coming. First thing I saw was the seat durability and your the first to mention it too amongst hundreds of videos I’ve seen at this point lol

      @VoltEVReviewsAU  28 дней назад +1

      Thanks! I find that reviewers often don’t consider durability which is something I always wonder especially with the influx of new brands on the market. Glad this was helpful for you!

      @JacobGagoOfficial 27 дней назад

      @@VoltEVReviewsAU yeah. I really wish they kept the prior vegan leather or something better. I believe the current seats are Faux Leather which is cheaper and far less durable.

    Interesting with the updated icons on the steering wheel, I wonder if they have done anything to the buttons too, like haptic feedback and actuation.

    • @VoltEVReviewsAU
      @VoltEVReviewsAU  Месяц назад +1

      That’s a great question - from my experience the haptic feedback and actuation was identical to the RWD/LR car

    He gave a 0 - 100 km acceleration time, but that would be equivalent to a 0 - 62.14 mph acceleration time.

    I dont like that the wheels have a different pattern from left to right... because they use the same wheel for each side.. cant believe they didnt think about this. Left side brakes are likely to overheat if they let it configured like this

    Where those things say ‘non-functional’ it doesn’t mean they don’t work. It means they are just lights giving information, not buttons.

    The air intakes on the front bumper are NOT upgrades, all Model 3 from 2023 and older had those intakes. Only the new Highland Model 3 refresh has no intake for both the standard and long range, only the Performance has the intakes. Same with the rear spoiler, the old Performance model also had it.

    • @MotoKDub
      @MotoKDub 24 дня назад

      Yes and no. The older performance versions had both but not exactly these. Whether they are upgrades Vs. prior model in for debate, I think they are improved at least

    The performance improvement over the previous gen for Chinese made model 3’s is a let down. Suspension upgrade is nice but it’s not enough to tempt me to spend more over the long range unfortunately.

      Not in Australia. They are getting the same car as Europe with the battery made in China and it has a slower 0-60.

      It’s the same speed China / US made. 0-60mph is only 0-96kmh hence the difference in time. Correct about the battery, US may get an acceleration boost in future

    • @VoltEVReviewsAU
      @VoltEVReviewsAU  Месяц назад +2

      This sounds like the most plausible explanation I've come across - Software locked acceleration/top speed

    • @theheez6201
      @theheez6201 29 дней назад

      @@Charlie_pilks is it though? Why is there a 50 horsepower difference? Is it regional software locks or the different battery manufacturer and composition?
