  • I have collected Merle Haggard memorabilia for 27 years. I love the rare soundboard concerts and unreleased video the most. Here a few clips from my collection.

Merle Haggard will never receive the recognition he deserves. He can't. It's impossible. He will be forever underrated. And that's because his greatness is beyond any measure. No amount of recognition or accolades could ever be sufficient.

Because he was an outsider to Nashville….. until they claimed him after he died

@@margaretsharbono2218 Yeah, several times I took my family hundreds of miles out of our way so that we could visit the Birthplace -- the converted boxcar -- which has been moved to the Kern County Museum ... a pilgrimage ... and on another road trip, we went to visit the supermarket in Palo Cedro where he used to shop for groceries.

This was wonderful Shakey. You captured the real Merle. He was real, humble, caring, sharing, interesting, amazing, blessed with talent that words can’t describe or express (just to list a few). Your videos are such tributes to Merle Haggard. One of a kind deserving of all rewards and recognition (not enough) he received. Bonnie was the best and so dedicated to Merle (loved her clip). Thanks Shakey for this gem of the very best ❤❤❤❤

Great video Shakey...nice to watch Bonnie do a song with Merle backin her up. She was a peach.
I like how they snuck in Waylon's Ramblin Man tune in at 8:44. 🤦🏼‍♂
Ya had me searchin the archives over here Shakey for this song Merle sang for George on here. I can't come up with Nothing about it any place tho. Did Hag even cut that song? It's a good song..Letmeno if you know anything about it. Great video once again. Thank you.
    We'll Get Back Together.
You'll know me, by the smile I wear, & I'll know you by the gold in your hair. We'll get back together somewhere beyond the blue. and you'll know me when we do... You'll know me when we're face to face, I'll know your kisses by the way that they taste. We'll get back together somewhere beyond the blue. And we'll know it when we do..

I had recorded on vhs that song We'll Get Back Together from that episode of the George Jones Show on TNN, and inexplicably it got erased. Haven't seen it since the mid 00s.
