We have the 36v and the 40v , absolutely great saws , the safety button is not an issue once you get used to it , as you pick the saw up you automatically turn it on. The only saws we have that never leak one drop of chain oil . They are cheap too .
Probably somewhat close to what you can do with it's rear-handle sibling, the DUC353. That has been on the market a bit longer, so you might be able to find reviews for it that cover the number of cuts it will do. I cut quite a pile of European Ash with the DUC353 last weekend, didn't count them, but did take a picture: tweakers.net/i/1q996-wn3Uaal436ALyeVooUYCo=/f/image/lhDtHSl2pwWuuuu18XB6ncEl.jpg (note: this is with a set of 6Ah batteries) Should be getting a DUC306 this week, if I don't forget I'll come back here to share an update on how those compare.
My experience so far is that the DUC306 (in normal mode) is comparable in power to the DUC353. I would expect, given that they use the same 2x18V powersource, the number of cuts would also be similar. Maybe even a few more for the DUC306, given its shorter bar (I actually run my DUC353 with an Oregon 40cm bar, rather than the original Makita 35cm bar).
Small minor default on the makita duc 306 are the fragile metal protection plates that are ment to protect the plastic from the incoming chain. Mine were broke/deformed quite fast. For the rest excellent machine.
I've got the UK version of the Makita DUC306, it instantly turns itself off after every cut, its an absolute pain in the arse and really not suitable for tree climbing work. Makita UK got me to return the saw because they thought it must be faulty but then on inspection they've decided that this is normal! Bearing in mind it's a top handled saw so should be for professional use only and it already has 2 separate safety features to stop accidental running of the saw there's really no need for this! The worst thing is that the US version stays on for 60 seconds after each cut which would be fine! If you're a DIY user you shouldn't buy a top handled saw, buy the back handled version, If you're a pro user don't buy a Makita battery chainsaw it'll drive you mad, like a petrol saw that stalls constantly! Its a shame because it's not a bad a saw aside from that, very capable even on thick hardwood, it lacks a little torque, you do have to get the chain spinning up at full speed before starting the cut but still impressive for a small battery saw.
First of all...you weren't even pushing on the Husky...you were pushing the Makita hard....secondly - one of the cuts with the Makita didn't even start at the top of the wood. Get a 540i....those are both junk compared to that.
The problem with husqvarna is it is too expensive. And makita has the market with already having exciting tools with the same battery platform
Great test. Can you test Mikita vs 540i?
What about the "Boost Mode" on the Makita? You mentioned it at the beginning of the video. But you didn't show it.
By the way, Makita is around half the price of Husky.. There's a clear winner for me here..

Does this Mikita turn off after the trigger is released?
It's Makita, not Mikita.
Just bought the duc306z as an arborist I absolutely love it!!
That was a very good quick, overall comparison. Well done, very helpful and informative. Would recommend the addition of a price comparison.
Thanks! That was super helpful. Very glad to see this video.
Nice vid, thanks! What chain did you use on this?
Thanks a lot for this test, I think I will buy a 256 just to the fact that the batterys are allready in use by my other Makita Tools.
Wow that are both impresive saws!
Thanks for the content. Cheers from oz
Makita has a battery power indicator and the husky doesn't. I use the battery indicator alot on tools
I'want to this chain saw where is mation.
you should switch the Husqvarna to a 1/4" pitch bar and chain.
Hi, how many cut you can do approximately with the makita?
Hey. Thank you for your comment. That's a good question. When I have time I will try to make a video on it.

Good test 👍
Thank you😀👍
What are the bar specs on both? 1.1mm or 1.3mm?
Hey.
I use 1,1 mm
@@vokstvst1957 on both saws?

Very helpfull thanks

Mark number 1 (makita) and (dewalt)

Производители жлобы могли бы поставить быстрое натяжения цепи.👍
Makita is a sony among other gaming consoles

Обе пилы достойные!

I have the EU DUC254 and it turns itself also off after 5 seconds if you don't keep pushing in the top safety lever. It's a standard Makita feature
Husgvarna T540 Xp top
Mani para y ji
Makita Makita!!!
husvarna topp
My t536i died because I used it on a rainy day. Anyone else had this problem? I don't stop work for the rain.
Me too, broke complelty. Been back to the shop twice. Still on original chain....
Makita has XPS - eXtreme Protection Technology, rain is not problem :)
Husqvarna = huskwana
No.... Huus-kvarna. From Sweden
That's easy. Everyone butchers Jonsered.
