Gr8 Rc plane sailors....I was also thinking to buy it earlier but wanted to see the inboxing as it wasn’t in any RUclips channel but now it is thank you a lot 👍🏻
You do great Nate! You have really good camera skills and we like that you don't whimper when it goes over your head or far away! Your commentary is always excellent! Your honest opinions are so helpful too! You make it one of the best channels on RC anywhere, Nate! Of course you got to love those brothers from Slovenia too! Your channel and theirs are my goto channels when wondering about a new plane. My walls are filling up with your suggestions, Nate. Thank you, man!!!
Bro , u got it made! U fly with ur wife.look out ,she’s on her way to becoming a heck of a pilot.keep it going young lady,no turning back, nice to see women getting into hobby.wish my wife wud give it a shot, but oh well ,at least she’s happy that I like to fly.
Thank you rc saylors! Iv been in the rx hobby for a very long time. But have always been afraid to fly fixed wing! Until now. seen the t720 on your channel. So I bought one and I'm loving this thing! Thank you very much for what you do.
have one difficult to fly and under powered in my opinion. Found it stalled and spins in. I would not recommend a first plane. Tried a 3s and flew nicely but still not a starter. This is my experience. Going try it off gyro and see how it flies. Will take Abby's fly technique. Found it glided but once it hits stall speed be ready for a spin in. It is now $139 Canadian. I have had a good result with the Volantex 600. Grandchildren flew this with no issue out of the box. Only two channel but a great starter for younger children. One child was 5, the other 7 years old. They flew very well, just a little young to grasp then details but the Volantex did them well. They looked like pros.
Awesome job Abbey! That was a great flight! Nate not to bad on filming! But Abbey is better! Lol! It's great to watch y'all laugh and just have fun with each other! Love you guy's!👍👍😎👽🛩🛩
Nate, you did fine tracking the plane once you both got going. Thank you both _SO_ much for reviewing these beginner airplanes, it's been literally decades since I've flown and something like this is what I need to get back into it. I'm going to guess that it's the S720 that you're going to be playing with in your next video?
A few have mentioned it needs extra weight in the nose like FPV gear or lead weight and then it would have flown good in stabilized mode. Just ordered mine.
Nice to see so many different planes. The toy grade drone thing was getting redundant. Nice reviews on a wide variety of style and price range. (Hope that came off positive as it was meant to be.)
Dang how did I miss this video What a cool plane For the price that's awesome I'm really thinking about getting one This would be perfect to get some practice before flying the 4ft 6inch wing span foam plane I built It's not going to have self leveling and it has very little dihedral so yeah I better play it safe Great Flying Abby 👍✌️ Nate stop trying to sabotage Abby with backwards flying planes 🤔🙄😁🤣😂 We all make mistakes and we learn from them ✌️
I bought this as a slow flyer so I didn't have to go to the flying field. I wanted something where I could walk out the back door, launch, fly over the pasture, and belly land. It does all of that, but just barely. The controller is really poor. The sticks are very twitchy, even in "normal" mode. In "Sport" mode, the plane will occasionally loop or roll, but most of the time it won't because it's severely underpowered. I couldn't get the receiver to bind to my Spektrum NX10. I thought binding the plane to a good Tx might even out some of its bad tendencies, but it simply wouldn't bind. I can go through the procedure of holding the Rx bind button until the blue light does its fast blink (indicating the Rx is in bind mode), but no joy. If you or someone you know is absolutely brand new to R/C airplanes then this might be a good trainer, but there are many better. If you're an experienced flyer looking for a slow flyer or something you don't have to drive to the field to fly, this isn't the model. Sorry.
I had been watching some of your other videos and ordered an XK you liked. Watches this video where you say this is much nicer than "those XK" planes... Uh Oh... Hmm.... Well, it's on it's way already..
@@TheRcSaylors Yeah, it was the A100 J11, so less expensive as my first plane. I figure if I can fly that one, then I can move up. But I can't stop getting ahead of myself and looking at these $100 planes, which are probably next. Your vids make me want to buy almost every other plane you review. ;-) Thanx again!
Good to see you picked up the OMPhobby T720; liked it from the moment I first saw it online! One of the few smaller RC planes with a brushless motor. Everything (even elevators!) snaps together so easily which makes it a breeze to take it with you. Only thing holding me back of ordering one is that shipping it to the EU will likely increase the cost considerably thanks to taxes and such :-\ BTW OMPhobby also makes an awesome RC helicopter: the M2; check it out!
Love that plane have seen it before Ali had one, to use the trick button, push and hold to make it loop..I would like to get one, but thats going to have to wait, just spent money fixing my car this time..Oh when will it stop!!...
Nice video, great job:-) From the flying pattern, it seems to be not trimmed (mechanically), and tail heavy.. as can see Abby is having hard time to have it level..and it keeps waving up & down.. I believe, 1st test would be all control surfaces on center "level", and having approximately 50-60% throttle while the plane already is in the air.. to check will it flys level and tracking straight.. :-) By having 70-75% throttle and above, maintaining the evelator at center, a beginner trainner plane shall be claiming up at about 20-30 degrees (if it is well designed) :-) Btw, for the similar price and specification of XK products, I believe it have similar or better quality too, doesn't seem XK is lower in quality.. in fact, usually XK have a better Radio control unit and more user friendly stabilization system (gyro) - more gentle to user's input instead of fighting with user. I have pretty good experiences of A600 and A800 as well as the lower end toy grade F949, F959 and A430 as well which flying pretty well 😉.
Nice little plane. SEE ABBY I knew you could do it . You did great. ‼‼. Nate now you have to practice videotaping. 😊. Soon Abby you'll be flying the jet's. Fun flying. ⚓⚓👍👍💖💝👍👍⚓⚓.
for the switch, Pilot/camera person nice good to mix it up hey Abby was it fun? heheheheheh OK YES at price tag there is a lot of good(s). Awesome video
You guys sold me on the Drocon bugs 3 blue. I now have two and love them.Do they still have the ODRVM cam. The bugs does teach you how to handle a drone for cheap. Does Abby still have hers.
How would you say this T720 compares to the AeroScout S? I currently own the HobbyZone Duet and, based on your recommendation, just picked up the Smart Jet Micro Boeing 787. Currently looking for another airplane on which I can continue to build my flying skills.
I've seen a couple others do the prop backward. nice review guys. needs to be in stabilization mode for the trick button to work. does this weird s turn loop thing.
Another great plane, thanks for the review. Abbey you did great, like to see more of you starting off on the new aircraft. Have you two ever considered trying a tilt rotor like the v-22 osprey, i have seen a few places that have them, horizon hobby does for sure. Would love to see a review from a trusted source.
For the price of $100, no trim should have been a deal breaker for me, but I am stupid in that way, now my rudder is lagging and no way to trim it, just useless
I got this plane. It’s okay. I had four flights (two nice landings and two crashes into tall grass). The plane is still intact but the elevator stopped working. I called and emailed them. Only if I call repeatedly then I will get a person to talk to. I just ask how much for a replacement fuselage. Doug says he will get back to me and he never did. He also emailed me for my mailing address and I replied promptly with address. Two weeks has passed since and no call back nor an email back. I call again and leave messages but nothing back so far. The point is: nice product but poor support.
So that twitchiness, mostly in the beginning, had to do with Abby's flying skills? It didn't look very beginner friendly to me. Wouldn't one of those planes with beginner, intermediate and expert modes be better for a beginner? Also, could this plane be flown over an acre or so lot or do you need a micro RC airplane for such a small area? Thanks... Ps. Ships free with 2 batteries on Amazon.
We think this plane might need a touch of nose weight added to fly a little better. Not saying it's the best beginner choice out there, but for it being under $100 with a battery, charger, brushless motor and quick easy assembly it is quite an impressive little set up 👍⚓😎
Abby did a great job considering how horribly it was trimmed! Couldn't the battery go further forward as it was very tail heavy, as Nate mentioned. You know the old adage: a nose heavy plane with fly badly; a tail heavy plane will fly ONCE!
It definitely needs a nickel or two in the nose, then should fly perfectly. We think the included battery is just too small in size and weight for this plane. 👍⚓😎
Ha Ha the reversed prop, I made the same mistake, even had the prop wrong on my bigger 2000mm glider, don't I feel foolish :-) This plane is tail heavy, a lot, maybe its designed to carry a camera in the nose. A nice feature is, if it gets out of range, the motor stops and the rudder will move, so it will come down in a stabilized circle, so no fly a way's or crash. What I don't like about it is : no spare parts available and the Ophhobby company do not respond to emails, also I think the price is to high, should be 60>70$ with that toy TX XK A800 cheaper and a better TX and spare parts available

Hey Nate & Abby!!! Its Dominic, one of the kids you met on the dirtbikes. Great vid!!! Keep it up!!!!
I remeber like 2 or 3 years ago I was very sick and all day I watched your videos to keep my mind of the sickness.
Same here! I’m disabled and at times I just cannot move, I lose days being cheered up by these guys. ♥️

Put your pom-poms down
I pretty much did the same thing
Hello rc sailers I love your reviews on drones and other rc stuff, keep up the good work. God bless you
That’s what I am talking about cheap budget n beginners friendly Rc plane which is very portable as well
Love it sailors 😍
Superb flying Abby!
Thank you Tim!
well done Abby finally you are flying again awesome , well done 🌹🌹🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
On my second watch and just realized Abby was mowing the lawn at one point being so low. You are the Bob Ross of RC, love it!
Great flight Abby! Good call on turning off the stabilization when it started giving you problems.

Good to see Abby back flying. Not to bad behind the camera Nate. 👍🙏⚓😃
I like the slow motion in your videos great job
Love you're chemistry. You guys keep up the good work
Nicely done, Abby! You'll be flying 3D in no time.
Abby this flight is awesome. Your confidence shows. Great video, cheers.
Always put the numbers on the prop in the direction you intend to fly! Nice video guys!
SWEET PLANE!! GREAT job, Abby!! AWESOME photography, Nate!! I'd buy it,if I was a plane person!! Thanks Saylors for the inspiring maiden!! 💟👍😘

Great video! Someone recently gave me a OMP airplane. It needs a little work but I might be able to get it ready by the next time I visit.
Awesome job Abbey! That was a great flight! Nate not to bad on filming! But Abbey is better! Lol! It's great to watch y'all laugh and just have fun with each other! Love you guy's!👍👍😎👽🛩🛩

Abby..... THAT WAS SICCCCCCC!!!!!! GREAT JOB!!
Awesome job getting back in the saddle Abby!
Cannot find the video u said of Nate flying this OMP T720??
A few have mentioned it needs extra weight in the nose like FPV gear or lead weight and then it would have flown good in stabilized mode. Just ordered mine.
Missing the RC Saylors intro these days. Interesting plane though. Nice beginners plane.
Very good - fun and informative. You're not the first person to put a prop on backwards :). Of course, I've never done it!!:(.
Great job Abby👍
Nate you're a great coach👍and good job on the camera
Thank you very much 👍⚓😎

Can the aircraft be dismantled again later?❓🤔Thanks for the Video 📹 😊
It probably needs to be trimmed before you turn on flight stabilization

I have to say XK has a lot better transmitter and I guess it depends on the aircraft but my thumbs ups for XK still love you guys though
Nice plane. Looks like a good learner plane.
Thanks for tuning in Ben! 👍⚓😎
How do you like this over the HobbyZone Carbon Cub S+ Airplane for a beginner? Great flying Abby!
Awesome flight guys!!
Thanks Todd! 👍⚓😎
I had been watching some of your other videos and ordered an XK you liked. Watches this video where you say this is much nicer than "those XK" planes... Uh Oh... Hmm.... Well, it's on it's way already..

Yeah! An Abby confidence builder!!! :-)
cool plane
what about no transmitter trim? nice flight and camera work.
For the price of $100, no trim should have been a deal breaker for me, but I am stupid in that way, now my rudder is lagging and no way to trim it, just useless
Cheap intro to fixed wing RC! Looks like it flies pretty decent. Nice maiden Abby, and Nate, you did a good job with the camera!

It really is a pretty awful first plane, all things considered. You've reviewed LOTS of better ones.
Can it do a barrel roll?
any idea on what protocol the rx is using? opentx might support it
Not sure, simply because weve never seen this Tx before and this is our first time testing an OMP Hobby plane.
No antenna on the transmitter. Is it internal or infrared?
It is definitely internal. Common for antennas to be shorter and shorter these days 👍⚓😎
Haha, surely not infrared. If infrared, will not go beyond a few meters away..
Looks like the CG is off. Wanting to stall all the time. Move battery all the way forward or add weight
It definitely needs a nickel or two in the nose, then should fly perfectly. We think the included battery is just too small in size and weight for this plane. 👍⚓😎
That as a happy little accident landing. :)
Does it really have a Sunnysky motor?
Yes
Can we see more of a milia please
Clip baited by Abby's beautiful self😍
We all done Abby
Looks nose heavy, was trim set ?
If I were you I would check out our most recent video uploaded to our channel. Way more up to date 😉👍⚓😎

Can Popeye can a drone when you fly it
