Austin Was praised highly by Shawn from Boyz to Men at the NBC sing off competition in 2013. Home Free won the competition.
Awesome
Austin, tenor. Rob, tenor (bearded wonder) Tim, bass. Adam Chance (baritone) and Adam (incredible beat boxer). A fun song of theirs is the Butts medley.
Your reaction took me back to the first time I heard this..
I was absolutely FLOORED! I already liked Home Free but this cover just sealed it for me. So so talented, so humble. I literally listen to them every day. I have watched this cover 100 times easily between the official video and other people's reactions to it. I just love seeing the surprise and amazement that people experience when they see and hear it, especially those who have already made up their mind beforehand that they wont like it but then love it, lol! When they were on "The Sing Off", Shawn from Boys II Men was a judge and I understand that they told him how much they respected and appreciated Boys II Men and what they did for this type of music. Like I said before, check out their journey on that show...I can guarentee you will not be disappointed whatsoever.
You don't have to worry about them blowing your speakers watching a video...but LIVE...Tim has shut down sound systems.....I have seen them live....sitting half way back and to the left in a medium size venue...he hit a note that made the fabric of my pant legs shake....was amazing. Also remember.....B2M has a instrument track behind them....this is all a capella. Rob, tenor, has the lead in this...Adam Rupp is the beatboxer, Adam "Chance" is the Baritone/Bass, Tim is the Bass with 5+ octave range and Austin is the high Tenor. Often they try to stay loyal and respect the original but add their own flair. Rob has a silky tenor voice with runs galore.
Rob (the lead in this one) sometimes gets overlooked because Austin & Tim are a little "showier". This song really lets him shine. The other guys in the band will usually say that Rob has the best voice of any of them (which is really saying something). You haven't really heard much of Adam Chance ("Chance"), the baritone, yet. He is featured on "Cover Me Up" (if you react to that one, make sure you watch all the way to the end), "Some Girls Do", "Can't Outrun You", and several others. The only who doesn't take a turn at lead is Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, and that's his choice. He prefers to beatbox & sing harmony. He usually does a "drum solo" during the live shows where he shows off his beatboxing. Enjoying your reactions.
you do get to hear him in quaritine though
Love Home Free, great reaction! I'm out at the grill cooking burgers and dancin as Robs getting in his groove and then.....RUclips commercial! Aaaah! Lol!
Keep the reactions coming MR. Toughnuts!
This is a great one from Home Free's catalog. Can I direct you to Helplessly Hoping by them, it's just too darn short, but perfection
I'm so glad you liked this one... It's really incredible! One of my favorite covers from them is Take Me Home, Country Roads... they really knock it out of the park, too!
Great reaction . Love Home Free
When Home Free was on the Sing Off (they won it in 2013) Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. Rob is the lead here with the beard and glasses. Austin is the second lead with reddish hair. They’re both tenors with Austin being the high tenor. Tim is the bass. Adam is the beatboxer and Chance in the back is the baritone/bass. Chance is the newest member from 2016. Chris (tenor) left the group to go solo. You’ll see him in videos prior to 2016 and he usually wears a ball cap or cowboy hat. Home Free is amazing. Try Helplessly Hoping, Seven Bridges Road, I Can’t Outrun You to hear more great harmonies. Good reaction!
Absolutely wonderful reaction, thank you for sharing your thoughts, feelings and passion for music.
Great reaction! Homefree is definitely the real deal! They did this beautiful song justice for sure. You are so going to enjoy your journey down this Homefree rabbit hole. Check out their mashup "Thinking out loud/ Let's get it on". Its amazing!!! Thank you for this reaction! Your doing a fantastic job!
Great, honest, and heartfelt reaction. Boyz to Men then, and Home Free now both did memorable jobs.
Great reaction Tom. Music is very powerful and when it connects it can be breathtaking. Love Home Free hope you do more.
Hey Tom, we knew you'd like this a lot...Rob (Lundquist) just KILLS it...he goes to his growl, and brings out so much soul. Have you reacted yet to their original song "DIVE BAR SAINTS" ? It's chill, and just awesome....
If you're feeling brave, have your wife with you and watch the Home Free video of "When A Man Loves A Woman" or the duet between Austin Brown & Tim Foust of "What's It To You". Love Home Free - not just their music, but their message of love, laughter and acceptance of everyone. Hmm - I think my being Canadian is showing!
Boyz II Men shaped my teen years. My favorite song from them is On bended knee. I love home free, have been a massive fan since I heard ring of fire, years and years ago. When I saw they had covered this song.. not gonna lie, I was nervous, but they pulled it off better than any other cover I have seen to date. New follower here! Thanks for the honest reaction, keep it up :)
Home Free - In the blood, one of my favourites, it hits hard
Some trivia: Chance, their baritone was actually singing bass for this song while their bass Tim sang baritone harmony, likely to give the choruses a heavier/deeper sound.
New subscriber here, here for Home Free! Keep 'em coming!
Check out their " I Swear "... " Meet In The Middle"..." Diamond Dreams... "Moonshine "...
🔥🔥🔥🔥They slayed the end in
their own way- Rob/beard killed!!
Tim hasn't blown my speakers but some if his lowest notes don't register on my phone or laptop. Rob is taking lead on this one with Austin coming in and then Tim coming in on one verse.
60's to 80's are my favorite eras of music. I'm old fashioned I guess because I think autotune was the worst thing to ever happen to the music industry. Before autotune you had to have talent to make it.
He has blown out speakers at concerts though lol
This is an absolutely amazing song. I truly enjoyed your reaction.
They killed this❤🎉
Home Free slays this cover!!❤
Not sure if anyone suggested this but Rob is awesome in Blue Ain't Your Color and Adam Chance has a lead part also
they killed this cover and rob's ad libs at the end were so awesome with his amazing voice!...Couple others are Elvia and My Church are a couple of my favs...i guess im a Home Fry now lol
Just subscribed to your channel. Enjoy the Home Free journey. They not sing country, but all genre of music 🎶. Check out their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color, Diamond Dream, Meet in the Middle, Diamond Dream, Moonshine and the list goes on
Their version of "When a Man Loves a Woman" is soul music -- right out of the '60s!
Great reaction as always.
You definitely need to React to more Home Free Songs! If you do, I promise you that you will be swarmed by Home Fries! That's what Home Free Fans are called since the Sing Off, on NBC, I think!
Anyways here are a few suggestions:
"Ring Of Fire" The Sing Off Version
"American Pie" Featuring Don McLean
"One Voice" Featuring Billy Gilman
"Colder Weather"
"Some Girls Do"
"Castle On The Hill"
"Cover Me Up"
"People" Featuring Jeffrey East
"Blue Ain't Your Colour"
"Die A Happy Man"
"What's The World Coming To"
"In The Blood"
"Winter Song"
"The Gambler"
"Take Me Home Country Roads"
"Folsom Prison Blues"
"Down To The Honky Tonk"
"Dive Bar Saints"
"I Can't Outrun You"
"Helplessly Hoping"
And more!
If you get through all of these in addition to the ones that you have already done, and you know everyone's name and skills you are Welcome to do "Mayday" but only if you have done between 15-20 Reactions!
Now that you've been hit by the Tim Foust bass, you really should react to Home Free doing Mayday, Tim will absolutely blow your mind in that one!
For Adam Chance, Helplessly Hoping is a stunning example of his talent. Although you will get a pretty nice glimpse of him in Mayday as well :)
OMG and American Pie for Adam Chance as well - in fact all of them are well featured in American Pie, along with the incredible Don McLean
Too soon for "Mayday." In order to get full enjoyment out of "Mayday", you need to be thoroughly familiar with all of the guys and their voices. "Helplessly Hoping" and "American Pie" are good choices...also "The Gambler", "Some Girls Do", and "Cover Me Up" ( ruclips.net/video/0X9ZbHPsVKM/видео.html ). For Austin's very best, your top pick is "" ruclips.net/video/-pygPmfGQvU/видео.html
Way too soon for Mayday, he’s only three songs in!
You do more HOME FREE & you’ll see a bunch of us HOME FRIES on here for You !!!! They’ve a Big Following 💖🙃‼️.
You need to listen to their cover of Mayday and When a Man Loves a Woman.
I really love Pentatonix and Home Free and Voctave, but I would like you to check out a quartet called Ringmasters and their version of you’ll never walk alone/climb every Mountain. They are an international championship quartet from Sweden and they are absolutely amazing. I think you will really enjoy it!!!!!!!!!
There are tons of songs from these guys that are great and you should listen to them all. I have. Another acapella group you should work in is Voiceplay. Their cover of "Oogie Boogie is epic and their bass, Geoff Castalucci has incredible range, much like Avi and Tim. BTW all of them know one another and help improve each other. Another cover you need to hit is Aerosmiths "Dream on", by Post Modern Jukebox featuring Morgan James.
My boys got soul! Great reaction, thank you! I don't care which Home Free song you listen to next because all of them are perfect in their own right. But if you want to hear more of Chance, the baritone, I recommend Cover Me Up. If you want to hear more of Tim, the bass, In the Blood is a good one, or you can do Everybody Walking This Land to hear both of them, or Folsom Prison Blues to hear both of them AND get some cool stuff from Adam, beat boxer.
I think you’d have fun with the Country Fried Pop Medley!
Check their other 90th cover All-4-One “I Swear” lol
Check out their version of "In the Blood".
I am glad you enjoyed this one. Check out Fishing in The Dark and Hillbilly Bone for more bass. For comedy check out All About That Bass and Country Pop Medley.
Two other GREAT comtemporary covers are "Love Train" (O'Jays) and "Listren To The Music" (Doobie Brothers)
If you want a great country cover, try "Hillbilly Bone"
I think you will like My Mother told me by VoicePlay too. Awesome acapella sung too and an awesome video, you will be pleasently surprised, trust me! Greetings from the Netherlands 👋👋👋

If you like A cappella so much, check out Van Canto, a metal a cappella band. They do use drums now to support the metal vibe
The Avett Brothers - Ballad of Love and Hate (live)✌🏼
NEW SUB. SHAUN STOCKMAN OF BOYZ II MEN WAS ONE OF THE JUDGES ON SING-OFF. PETER HOLLLENS WAS ON SEASON ONE FOUNDED 1ST COLLEGE ACA GROUP IN OREGON AT U OF O HOME OF DUCK FOOTBALL TEAM. You have a New Subscriber! Cheers!
Never interrupt the song when you can see there is only a few seconds of the song left. You memory of the song and opinion can wait a few seconds so you don’t screw up the end for us.
Pssst, Tom. Check out Home Free’s cover of Some Girls Do and Quarantine and Folsom Prison Blues!!!
I love how he described Austin as the pretty one. 😂😂😂
Next up??? Home frees version of when a man loves a woman? Possible? Its on a top tier shelf like this one is.
FORGOT TO MENTION, PETER HOLLENS COLLABED WITH TIM FOUST ON THE HOBBITS MISTY MOUNTAINS. AND CHECK OUT WHAT HE DID WITH HOME FREE OF U2'S SONG STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR [ MAKE SURE YOU DO BOTH WITH YOUR WIFE] CHECK OUT TODRICK HALL FEATURING PENTATONIX------ THE WIZARD OF AHHHS.
Home Free songs are a joy to listen to. Try Mayday by Cam. Love train by the Ojays Elvira by Oakridge boys
Too soon for "Mayday." It's one of their very best songs, but full enjoyment depends on knowing all of their voices. "Love Train" and "Elvira" are excellent, but they you still haven't heard Chance's voice in a solo. Add "The Gambler", "Cover Me Up", and "American Pie" near the top of the list, and you'll know Chance. :-)
Rob is just as good as Austin.... if you wanna see there playful side, you should check out there “Home free’s guilty pleasures, Derailed” orthodox concert where Tim Blows the speaker in Morrison Illinois. At 7:28 in the video he starts singing Josh Turner’sYour Man....
Yeah B2M weren't a capella at all. They had amazing harmonies and put out amazing music, but they used instruments.
Another band you may not have heard of but you probably would like is Living Colour's "Cult of Personality".
That's Rob
you need to watch this (Tim Foust breaking sound system at Morrison-2min) it is realy funny
First time on your channel. I see you have at least one child, so you’ve probably been exposed to Disney movies. As much as I love Home Free, you indicated you like acapella, so I highly recommend you check out and react to the group Voctave. Start with any of their Disney medleys.
I am a new subscriber. I subscribed after seeing you do read your comments. Try listening to their cover of Crosby, Steeles and Nash's Helplessly Hoping, also their cover of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues is amazing. For the beatboxer you can find Adam's drum solo on their channel; he is an amazing talent and a force!
Awesome reaction! Since you’ve recently reacted to Wintersun, I highly recommend checking out their song Loneliness
Should really try and react to home free cover of I Swear.
Oh boy...are you talking about All 4 Ones version of I Swear? Because Im about to fanboy all over that video haha
Yes it’s All 4 one they cover it.
You say you love the 90s. Have you reacted to PTX's 90s Dance Medley?
So do you still think that they are a Country Acapella Group?
Just so you know they consider themselves one to distinguish themselves from the other Acapella Group's but they do all Genre's!
They are capable of a lot more than when i reacted to from constant sorrow and ring of fire. Im very eager to hear what else they got in that talent tank of theirs
Gotta do mayday their cover by cam...👍👍
Too soon. You can't get full enjoyment out of "Mayday" until you're thoroughly familiar with the guys and their voices.
Home free cover of when a man loves a woman
So is Rob or Austin the Shawn Stockman of this outfit?
Good Question, I would probably lean closer to Rob
Rob does lead here
Stick with headphones or Tim will blow your speakers...
This is Rob
Awesome reaction! Now would love to see you have Sarah react to Voice Play and their rendition of Disney Little Mermaid medley.
Loved your reaction....I just subbed for more Home Free! Check out their cover of My Church!
THAT'S ROB, CHECK BLUE AIN'T YOUR COLOR FOR MORE ROB LEADING
You should check out the new Daughtry song Heavy is the crown 👑
Daughtry is still going? Wow, apparently I am so far behind on music. I enjoyed him when he first came about.
Please react to for King and Country sing God Only Knows. Amazihg song!
Hi Tom, I've been following your videos, mostly the Nightwish ones. You have great reactions to our Valkyrie Queen! Anyway, you were wondering if you should listen to more 'opera'... and would you like it? Well, I hate the common 'warbly vibrato' opera. What I do like is a pure classical voice. Try Jane Zhang's amazing performance here: ruclips.net/video/kJl2uPNsJEk/видео.html
Try honey I’m good to hear Tim drop to sub woofer level
Rob
They nailed it.❤️❤️ Please react to WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN by Home Freeruclips.net/video/-pygPmfGQvU/видео.html
Please react to Morissette's latest performance which is very touching, beautiful and can shed tears...
