I was having the black ink issue. I used many maintenance options but I was really hesitant to use the Ink Flush function. I got the confidence to use it by seeing this video, thinking perhaps this is the only solution albeit with a small (maybe large xD) wastage of ink. And guess what, it didn't use much ink and now my black ink works perfectly. Thanks a lot, Aleveen!

After seeing this video, I used mobile app and searched for ink flush in online manual. Press Setting/tool button. Press + until you see 10 on printer lcd screen. Press start (any of black or colour ) and ink flush starts. It takes about 7 to 10 min. Don't stop or process any other function while ink flush. It's a printer self service. 😀
Before that take the print report as advised in video. You will see improvement in the report post ink flush.

mine doesn't print magenta and yellow, but when I looked on the tubes there were no empty spaces. I already performed deep cleaning but it's still the same after I print out the nozzle check pattern. I'm still in doubt whether I'll perform ink flush since it consumes a lot of ink and mine doesn't have empty spaces on the tubes. any ideas?
