10/10. Excellent job. I do this everyday but on timber mullions. They can reach heights of 30 feet and one thing i have had a hard time doing is repairs like this up high. I tend to use soft waxes up there and then stencil them in. One thing i can say is anything from your waist to the floor is quite forgiveable but up high its so tough getting the colour to flip right. Its almost like painting it in blind. The colour match looks perfect but when i come down off scaffold and have a look its just so dark.

Wow, what an amazing job! 11/10 for your artistry! I have moved into a house with laminate flooring that has a few marks and damage just like you showed. I know what I need to do now and can use your excellent video as inspiration. Thank you from the UK.👍😊

Nice work. I really appreciate the attention to detail. When I do a project, any little flaw like that little hole will draw my eye like a magnet every time I go into that room until I fix it 😂

10 out of 10, you matched the colors & grain so well, looks perfect. Good to know there is a fix for these damages, my new place has similar flooring and knowing me, an accident or two are bound to happen 😅

Applying wood wax in several colors, only to paint over it, is a stroke of brilliance. Not only does the paint completely cover the wax, but good luck getting the paint to stick to the wax at all. A masterclass in efficiency!

That part lost me too. But I guess it provides a better foundation for if/when the paint wears, and if the paint itself isn't 100% opaque.

This guy is an artist. I had to do a similar repair in an apartment I was renting. It looked a lot better after I was done than before I started the repair. But I did not have the repair materials that this guy had. I went to a craft store to buy the various shades of paint. I used a craft paint brush to apply paint and a sponge to blend it in. I did not have any gouges just discoloration from pvc plumbing purple primer that spilled on the floor. The problem with the wax repair here is anything that touches the wax will ruin it as the wax is soft. Maybe you could have used two part epoxy for the filler and that would be better for wear. But knowing where it is, you can avoid it. In my house, I have spare flooring material. I would replace the section instead of a repair.
