    • @PeterPanBRT

      Obviously not. Your Arc does the exact opposite, it provides your setup with Google Assistant but is probably the only device in your setup with the receiving microphone.

      Not at all. Google Assistant will continue to be supported on your existing Sonos voice-enabled devices.

      @@sonos Thank you 🙏🏼 I already have the official Sonos One stands.. which appear to be the same as the Era100 official stands except for the speaker holders, hence my idea for Sonos to have Era100 holders for sale online for customers that already have the official stands in our Home Cinema setup.
      I love your products and especially love the Sonos Ones stereo pairing, the sound is great so am really looking forward to upgrading to Era100 really excited the only obstacle as a customer upgrading under the Sonos upgrade program it’s the thought I’d have to re-buy speaker stands.. being able to buy the holders would be great and much more eco friendly.
      Thanks for acknowledging my feedback, I’m sure I speak for many customers that already have your stands ^__^=

    Thanks in advance 😊

    Is there any delay when using line-in connected directly to a computer? If there is a delay it can't be used as computer speaker - which I would like it to! - hence the question.

    • @sonos
      @sonos  Год назад

      Yes, in order to ensure the system is capable of playing multi-room audio, we add latency to the line-in connection. The Sonos app allows users to adjust latency between 75ms and 2,000ms depending on the user's home network performance.

      Hate to break it to you, but in Product led companies like Sonos, the Product Marketing Managers typically work right there with the engineers day in/out. They tend to be great communicators and translators too.

    • @justinrichardson3630
      @justinrichardson3630 Год назад +2

      So its a "better speaker" without saying why it's better. So to your point, Benjamin, this isn't a great product marketing ad -- they may have spent a great deal of time with the engineers, but that certainly doesn't reflect in this video. Using internal hypewords like Era 300 are meaningless to anyone outside of Sonos as far as I'm aware. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    What’s up with google assistant

    • @sonos
      @sonos  Год назад

      Google has changed the technical requirements for Google Assistant on 3rd party devices, limiting our capacity for support. We’re evaluating these requirements and remain hopeful that Google Assistant will be part of this ecosystem one day. In the meantime, Google Assistant continues to be supported on your existing Sonos voice-enabled devices.

    I respect the product and plan to purchase, but don't know why you guys had the Product Marketing Lead voice the release. Similarly mentioned below, I'd feel more confident if the lead engineer was dishing out the information rather than a lead marketer reading a list of keypoints.

      The Sonos Line-In Adapter and Sonos Combo Adapter are the only products that will work with Era 100 and Era 300. While it may look like any USB-C to 3.5mm adapter would work, all of the ones currently on the market are intended for line-out (connecting headphones to a phone or laptop) vs. line-in, so they are not compatible.

    Sonos made a mistake here. Should have put ATMOS in the era 100. for a lot of people the era 300 is just to big to put behind there sofa for rear speakers. And also a cost of £900 for era 300s as rears to get atmos is just a crazy price.. Era 100 with atoms would of sold like hot cakes

      If all you use is an Apple TV for your media than you could use the Era 300s using Apple AirPlay from the Apple TV to the Sonos. I did this with Sonos One’s for a long time. However, I do believe you are correct that only Apple’s HomePods support the eArc connection with Apple TV, which is essential if you have multiple sources of content through your TV like a game console or something. Plus I have no idea if the airplay stream to Era 300s would support full Atmos or not

  • @raychow5419

    The 300 design was not home theater minded but more of a stand alone. The arc is due for an update also.

    • @sonos
      @sonos  Год назад

      Every angle and proportion of Era 300 is tied to the product’s acoustic performance, allowing each driver to point in the optimal direction. The perforation pattern along the top, front, and sides maximizes the projection of sound left, right, forwards, and upwards. We appreciate you sharing feedback on the Arc and will pass it along to our product team.
