I have an 08 LE I just posted with 6000K 55W low beam and 6000K led DRLs, Now thinking about the 8000K bulbs, looks good, by the way people think HIDs higher wattage will melt housing but actually run cooler than High wattage halogen bulbs
correct hid's are more efficient then the standard halogen bulbs actually halogen bulbs are use for heating in certain applications LED bulbs are more efficient then hid I also put hid's in my DRL's Cree LEDs they look good too but I've been rocking my hid's for over a year nothing melted I have them in my 04 Acura MDX lows and fogs no problems there either
Same car, Honestly 55W will color shift and damaged the projector. I recommend you Xenon Depot H11 Phillips bulb , It will have such an crazy crispy beautiful looking look! it looks like a Lexus HID light just amazing. 8000 is way to blue. Even 5000 is to much on this camry only because the original house has a small blue glass color and it makes all hid look slightly more blue.
thanks for the advice I've been rocking with the 8,000k's at 55w in both high beam and fogs and they look great I get compliments everywhere I go with it actually at night a few people thought it was a Lexus but I will keep that in mind for my next vehicle
+Adonus348 that's specific smoked light housing and bigger fog lights is considered the gen 6.5 which also is the only year to come out with the led tail lights. the year of this Camry is 2011.
+Adonus348 ok. There are so many mixed reviews whether or not the camrys need relays or canbus or even error code eliminator. So just standard 55w ballast and no problems?
+John Craun I have a 2010 SE honestly I haven't read anything on needing all that maybe it will make some kinda difference I wouldn't kno they work perfectly fine straight out of the box plus Camry doesn't have a bulb out indicator on the headlights now on my turn signals I used led bulbs and I had to use load resistors for the error correction on those but here are the brand headlights I used. Nice I wouldn't put 55w in foglights though, you have a pretty good chance of melting something.
not exactly the stock fog lights were 55w bulbs been running them for 6 months now no melting issues whats so ever but thank for pointing that out
He said he has a "010" Corolla 😂😂
correct I did say 010 like I'm a 70 yr old man but I didn't say corolla lol
I'm pretty sure that light and fogs only came in '11
what do you mean??

+John Lee 2010-2011 mine is a 2010 2007-2009 are the ones with the smaller fogs
Did you use a relay or a canbus ballast?
no only the hid drivers that come with them they work fine no jittering
